The store has been there for years I would get wood to turn pens. The. Staff was friendly and helpful .they let me play in the 1x1 section. The young lady carried my wood up front as I use croutchs. After check out the gentleman carried my wood to the car. That what service is and the staff provides good service. A fun place to shop for wood and fair prices.

Weve been twice to this gem of a wood store; they have more than just wood and apparently have been in business for many years. My fiancee decided that we are going to make cutting board/butcher blocks for a few family members this year for Christmas and we were pleased to find that they had Purple Heart, (you wont find this at any Home Improvement stores.) The person that assisted us today seemed very knowledgeable and polite, (plus in our book!) I think that if youre looking for a specialty wood, this is the place to come. The only minus here is that it is located just west of Dixie Highway on Oakland Park Blvd and when traffic is heavy, making that u-turn from Westbound is not easy.

Amazing selections of exotic goods

Very helpful with a recent purchase plus he gave a wonderful reference for an urgent wood repair. The store has a good stock of common supplies and exotic wood and tools.

Constantines is the go to store for all exotic woods. Ive been dealing with Rudy for almost 20 years. Every time i need to match a stain or repair furniture they are my first stop.

Today I was in a bind, trying to resolve an issue for a client, so I went in looking for a wood veneer to apply to a door. The store was deserted, Dec 29th. I asked the (rather high-looking) short Hispanic guy behind the counter for assistance, he showed me the veneers.Since I hadn’t had experience applying a veneer before, I asked for help, and asked if I could possibly pay for the use of his space. He said this was my problem, not his and that I would be a bother to him if I were to work there. Mind you the store was empty. He didn’t even suggest anyone that could help me resolve the issue. I insisted nicely, again, I’m in a bind, so he laughed and said how he didn’t understand why he wasn’t being clear enough. I understand my request is not usual, but this is not the response I expected. Completely apathetic.I’m not sure I’ve ever had this level of poor service before. It was the least helpful, and least kind exchange I’ve had with a vendor.Based on this experience, I can not recommend this vendor. I will never go there again.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of exotic woods. I prefer shopping here to the large corporations. Small business customer service makes all the difference.

At first I was not going to go in when my boss needed to grab something, but I was sure glad I came in! Just the smell was reason enough to visit this place. Had all kinds of exotic woods to choose from and really got my creativity flowing, so I left with some pieces of Bubinga and Paduk for unknown projects. Definetly will be back!

Customer service is no longer a priority at this, once fine, establishment.I am an avid supporter of our brick and mortar local businesses but was not happy with the lack of interest in customer service yesterday when I was there. It is a shame to see this happen at a usiness that has been an institution for customer service in the past.

Bob, an employee there, is an absolutely fantastic guy. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, he has in depth experience in woodworking. I have learned a lot from him about staining and finishing, the right wood to use, tools, etc. He even fixed a thorny problem we had with a CNC Router at MakerSquare! I am going to buy all my quality wood from him!
