It has just been over a year since we initially decided to store our brand new Searay 270 SDX at the facility. I wanted a marina close to my house and ignored the reviews. Our gel coat was scratched pretty bad, estimate ~$2500. The marina denies doing it, though there were areas on the power tower that were scratched and had orange paint (the storage racks are orange). This actually happened on two separate occasions, with the second much worse after I complained. I initially did the year contract and paid the security deposit to get out of it; no way would I keep storing the boat when they keep damaging it. After breaking contract, additional numerous items suddenly became broken on the boat such as a chrome shower cap. Petty. I am surprised they didnt pour sugar into the fuel.Then you have the regular complaints of any poorly managed dry storage marina; zero to no dock space on the weekends which forces boats to dock together, difficult to launch boat, and, probably the worst, a long lead time to get the boat back into storage. I could have returned the boat Saturday at noon and still see the boat on Tuesday or Wednesday, uncovered. Their dock padding is a joke, consisting of old fenders where there are any. If youre considering this place, drive by it on the water and see first the condition of the docks, the boats on the water, and the wakes. Though an idle zone, people gun this area. Weve come to grab a boat to see that someone else tied up to it without fenders.In conclusion, there are better marinas around. Dont settle for a pseudo-mafia run place that will destroy your boat. I wish the review would make a difference but, with the lack of locations of marinas, Im sure this place will be disappointing future customers for many years.Edit: I forgot the best part (aside from damage). They dont clean the docks to get rid of the diesel soot from the boat loaders. There are mats on the docks, so these absorb this black tar. Everywhere there arent mats are puddles or slurries of questionable black liquid. The workers dont take off their shoes when storing or unloading your boat, so you get to arrive at your boat with black shoe marks all over the seats and floor which are difficult to wash out because its a grease.

The guys that work the dock are great along with the ladies in the office.I cant say that about the condition my boat was in when I finally moved it.Dirty, stained alot of fiberglass issues from the condition of the their forklift picking up the boat. The owner has to upgrade the facility and the equipment and the service dept definitely could use some fresh blood.

Absolutely the WORST professionalism ever. Yvonne (the owner) is rude, disrespectful and unprofessional! Peter in the parts department is the same. Be aware if using this marina!! The son who is curling on moms (Yvonne) curtails is also rude, damages boats as the lift operator BEWARE!

We have been using the marina for the past 6 months and have experienced great service and very friendly people! In particular, Gilbert and the guys on the dock are amazing, and the girls in the office are so nice!

My husband has a boat at the Marina Mar. The service can not be beat by anyone. There is always someone to help you with a smile. The same goes to the people in the office. I personally dont care for boats and the help knows it so when we come back they are there to help. O what a relief it is for me. My husband is very good and I trust him but I still get nervous. So sometimes I get picked on in a good way but that is ok. Thank you all for all your help. We have fun no matter what.

I have been storing at Marina Mar since 2014. The entire staff has always been very helpful. The Outside crew always has my boat cleaned and ready when I get there to go boating. Great place to watch Christmas parade to.

Marina Mar is the best dry storage facility in South Florida. Yvonne and her team always deliver amazing customer service and treat their boat owners like family.The marina is full service and offers an app for you to request a boat launch, a wash and even ice. They tend to fill up in season, so book your storage before its too late. Youll love this place.

I have kept my 22 ft. SeaRay in dry storage at Marina Mar for over 10 years. The experience has been very satisfactory. The rates have been stable over the 10 year interval. The boat is available to me, clean, and in the water, within one hour of my call. The dock workers are courteous and helpful. The boat has been well-maintained through Marina Mar service.

Brought my 2008 boat to these guys to fix as oil was leaking. Turned out to be the oil pans. Both engines had to be pulled to replace the pans. Cost a fortune. A week later I take the boat to the Bahamas. Midway across the boat starts to take on water in the engine compartment. My family, including my 7 year old daughter, had to abandon ship and get into our life raft. The boat sank in 2000 Feet of water. I called Marina Mar several times and sent 5 different emails. They never had the decency to return my phone calls or emails. I feel lucky to be alive as if we did not have a life raft we would not be here today.

The service is great. The guys on the dock go above and beyond the call of duty. Boats are always clean and the crew are very courteous. The management is super and the girls inside the office are always willing to lend a hand. Out of a 1 thru 10 I give Marina Mar a 9.

Stay away! Just watched an employee curse out and employee of the neighboring restaurant for some person that parked at the marina and walked over. What does that have to do with the bar. Seeing how they treat boats as well, you can find something better! STAY AWAY!

This place is a mafia to say the least from the workers to specially the female owner ! I stored my boat at this location paying top dollars every month and had towards the end to literally pray to have them release my boat after trying to sell it for over five months I ended up finding a buyer my self and they still requested and made it so difficult to make a smooth transactionTheir service personnel in charge is a thief I spent over seven thousand dollars in less than a twelve month period and to say he’s rude and has no personal skills is an understatementThanks the lord I finally never have to see these crooks again please read their reviews online prior to being hooked for at least one year per their contract even after you renew it shady shady

Avoid this marina...place is very poorly maintained, owners increase rates without notification and there is always a delay when requesting a boat launch. Docks are in very poor shape and there is not enough space to dock when returning after hours...there are better choices - definitely avoid this place.

Worst Marina Ever! Do Not go there!!!! IF THEY DROP YOUR BOAT THEY WILL NOT COVER THE COST!!!!!Total mistreatment including my gel coat dinged up, boat left in water over night and it banged against the dock all night, big black footprints all over the white seats after I had cleaned it prior to dropping it off. Told us it would be $10 a foot and then after signing the contract noticed it was changed to $12 a foot. Ask them to change out a prop and they left a cracked seal in the boat and replaced the prop in a broken part. On and on it goes...total scam place.My neighbor (after I shared my story with them) said he had a horrible experience with their service department and they overcharged them and put in used and faulty parts!Dont waste your money...go to someone you can trust and that cares about their customers.
