The “general manager” Jerimiah Kimble, was condescending and rude. He refused to listen to me regarding the return because I didn’t have the receipt with me. I was never told that I needed a receipt for a return! He then told me that I would get a credit which I accepted. I explained that some of the purchases were online and would have a proof of purchase. He copped an attitude and told me that that wasn’t how it worked. The order was in the computer when I picked up the items and it made sense that a record of the items would still be available for him to see in the computer. He told me that he wouldn’t return the items and to never come back to HIS store. Whether or not he had access to the records is irrelevant in light of his unwillingness to help and his bad attitude. I have the receipt and will return the items to another location.

Make sure youre very specific about the fuel level. They overestimated on release and underestimated on return. Theyre charging $8 on fuel for 1/16 tank. Ill bet they steal at least $200 a day from customers doing this. My receipt from them says I drove it 19 miles and I have a fuel receipt from filling it up down the street from their location for putting in three gallons. They charged me for another three gallons. Apparently their truck is broken only getting 3 miles per gallon...

Reserved a truck 1 1/2 weeks in advance, they called us the day before our move and told us they gave our truck to someone else and the only option was a smaller truck to be picked up at midnight only, no earlier or later. We worked out a different sized truck to be picked up at 9:30 and it took us over an hour to get situated because they kept getting an error code for our reservation.

The best way to describe it is they did not care about my time or schedule. Every person I talked to was super friendly and helpful but that the only thing that was good. There was no communication between the teams. I ordered a U-Box in Wisconsin and was told it would be delivered to this location. I called to make an appointment to pick it up the next day and they said they would call me to confirm a time for the pick up from the trailer. I had not received a call saying a time to pick up so I called and was on hold for 20 min again. A woman said that I was scheduled for noon and I was calling at 1pm. No one told me this was the time. So then I asked if we could make it a 330 pick up and the woman helped me make that happen. I came to this location at 345 and waited in line for them to tell me that it wasnt at the location but on off site warehouse and that hed call and say Im coming. Thats fine ill be able to pick it up right when I get there because it was scheduled for noon originally so it should be on the trailer. I got to the location and the nice man told me that I wasnt even in the schedule and no one called him. He was very kind and could see that I was frustrated but the lack of communication through this whole process. This ruined the company name for me. Will never use this service again.

These completely useless pieces of garbage charged my girlfriend twice for her rental. There’s absolutely no excuse for the way they handled our transaction. Completely ridiculous. Unless company with useless employees.If you’re even considering using this location reevaluate. There’s absolutely no reason you need to put yourself through the misery that is dealing with these horrid people.

This is truly the worst experience I have ever had with installation or any other service. I scheduled my appointment more than three weeks in advance, brought the car in for my scheduled appointment and didn’t find out until 3 1/2 hours after dropping off the car that they were unable to complete the service because they had the wrong part for installation. I was then told they would call me to reschedule installation early the next week. After not hearing back from anyone, I called three times (waiting on hold for more than 20 minutes each time) and emailed, only to receive a broken promise that someone would get back to me within the hour. Three days after my initial call, my husband finally got a hold of somebody who agreed to refund our money. They weren’t at all looking to fix the situation (just be done with it), and clearly don’t have the slightest interest in customer satisfaction.I completely understand being understaffed during this time, but there’s no point in scheduling appointments for a service you cannot complete. Additionally, it is common courtesy to communicate with a customer, especially when they’ve tried numerous times to get a hold of you. Businesses return phone calls, that’s part of being a business.This whole experience was extremely disappointing with no positive outcome in the end.I would highly discourage anyone from scheduling any sort of installation service with the Huntington Hills U-Haul! Save yourself the headache and frustration.

I never write reviews but I’m so outraged by my experience with this Uhaul that I had to.I rented a Uhaul for 4 hours. I picked the truck up on 3/8 of a tank, drove 33 miles, put 3.1 gallons back in the truck and then dropped it off at 3/8 of a tank (the same level I received it at).Afterwards I received a follow up email saying I returned the truck with less than 1/4 of a tank and they charged me an additional $72 to put 10 gallons of gas in the truck.1. 10 GALLONS for 33 miles? A $30 fuel service fee and then $4.20 for gas when the rate is $2.85??2. When I contacted management, they refused to refund me because “I didn’t verify the condition before leaving the lot” which is BS because I did.It is unfair to not only charge the customer for the incompetence of the staff misreading the fuel gauge, but to also OVERCHARGE the customer for a mistake THE COMPANY made.I do not recommend this Uhaul to anyone. Customer service is poor.

Was charged a late fee for the incompetence of their own employee. Make sure you get a receipt in your hand when you turn in your truck, do NOT trust the employee when they say they will email you, this will not happen. Go to a different location if you can, this one will rip you off and not even think twice.

This was not a smooth process. When they called to confirm my reservation a day before moving they said they did not have my truck size at my preferred location even though I had reserved this several weeks in advance. Had to drive 25 minutes to another location they switched it to without asking me in order to pick up the truck. Jakes Farm in Loveland was the location we picked up the truck from, nobody was there initially to give us the truck at our appointment time and we had to wait several minutes and call the number written on the door before being helped by anyone. They did not have check in service there so we had to do it on our phones and this got messed up in the process with no help from the people there. Then they could not get the key out of the lockbox and we had to help. We had to find our own truck in the lot without being shown to it. It was all extremely unprofessional. After we dropped it off filled back to the fuel amount that it was when we left, we were charged the fuel fee and had to call to get that fixed. The whole process was not customer friendly or professional at all.

BEWARE FRAUDULENT CHARGESWe were at the south Fort Collins location on Saturday January 16, 2021 and rented a box truck. We were asked if we wanted to purchase the insurance for the additional $14 charge, which we declined as careful experienced drivers making a short local trip. We approved the images sent to us acknowledging the vehicle was in good condition when we received it, and didn’t think too much of it as we hopped in the truck. After a very uneventful trip, we returned the truck. We received a phone call that evening informing us we would be billed a $400 fine for damage caused to the roof of the truck.1- There is no possible way we damaged the roof of the truck. It was only used in wide open spaces, we did not drive under any overhangs or low clearance areas and promptly returned the truck after use.2- The images we approved did not include images of the roof of the truck.3- On our 15’ box truck rental, there is no way we would have been capable in the parking lot of the Uhaul center that the roof of the truck was in good condition prior to driving it off the lot, it is a very tall vehicle4- In discussing the situation with the corporate office, we were informed that Uhaul does not have photos of the damaged roof in good condition prior to our rental, and therefore no way to prove that we caused the damage. However they told us that we had no proof that we did not cause the damage, and because we had declined the $14 additional insurance fee at checkout, that now we are liable for all damages found on the vehicle, and whether we contested the charges or not that our credit card would be billed.This situation seems questionably legal to me, and we will be pursuing filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and possibly further legal action.We have rented trucks successfully from this Uhaul location before and have a history of returning box trucks without damage. I’m very disappointed that as a repeat customer with a recent and excellent rental history that we are being charged for another renter’s mistake and an employee’s oversight in failing to catch the damage caused by the person who did it. it seems very scammy to me that we were told the whole situation could have been avoided if we had simply purchased the additional insurance less than 3 hours prior.

We worked with Jerry for our long move from Fort Collins to the western slope. He went above and beyond for us, as we were needing to have a hitch installed as well as rent two trailers the following day. Even with product delays in much of the state, Jerry drove and found us a hitch to install on our vehicle, picking it up for us and ensuring that we would have it by our move. Our rentals went easily the next day, and I can say nothing but kind things about the service and care that we received!

I was rented a truck with damage to the top cab. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the damage when I left the yard and was charged $700 for it when I returned the truck. It was also, not covered under the Safemove insurance I purchased for the truck. Sad place of business. The owner will take advantage of you if he can.

They could not even give me a reason why it was canceled. Left me high and dry with now vehicle. I had to go to a reputable uhaul that gave me a rush reservation.

Called with some questions about renting a trailer, I was told that I needed to call the 1-800 number to get the information I needed. I called the 1-800 number, and was told to call the store... so I called the store back and explained that the 1-800 number folks told me to call the store, at this point I was told to call the 1-800 number again. To describe the customer service as being poor or inadequate is being very generous.

Im not going to rehash my Uhaul review, but suffice it to say that every employee I encountered, including owner Tom Carson, were completely unprofessional. Will NEVER rent from this store again!

Made an appointment for a hitch receiver install 13 days in advance, with extra time for shipping. I called the afternoon before to verify. Can rarely get through on the phone to them, usually put on hold and routed to national line, but eventually, Oh, it looks like its stuck in Utah. Yeah, I get that shipping is delayed, but I had rearranged my schedule for the next mornings apptmnt and wouldnt have known if I hadnt called. Plus I wasted two weekends not being able to tow bikes. Instead I ordered from etrailer, order came in 4 days and I followed video online to install it myself. Wouldve taken longer to drive in and have these guys do it even if they kept an appointment. Seems like a common theme in these reviews -- too bad U-Haul floods Google with internal reviews to drown out local reviews. Dont be fooled -- this place needs a customer service overhaul.

Made a reservation 10 days in advance. Two days before pickup I was told that they didnt have the truck or trailer that I reserved and they told us to go down to Longmont to pick it up. When doing the online check in the day before, the price had also increased over $200 compared to the originally quoted price. When we asked if they could shuttle the truck themselves from Longmont to Fort Collins they simply replied that they dont do that. Terrible service, terrible experience.

As I was driving across country, the trailer was disconnected and broke the frame of my car. After getting a few opinions from tow truck guys, insurance company, etc. they determined that the worker (Anthony Alvarez) had either forgot to put a piece in the trailer or it was not secured therefore causing the trailer to detach and break the frame of my car. I will never use uhaul again.

I never ever write reviews but I did today because I seriously think either there was an entire staff overhaul or everyone else writing these one star reviews is being over dramatic. The staff was polite and they got me in and out as fast as possible. I did have to wait about 20 minutes to get to the counter but that was due to the fact that there were only 3 registers and ton of customers and to no fault of the employees.

DO NOT GO HERE ! if I could give it 0 stars I would. I reserved a truck online and when I went to pick it up I was told I cant believe they let you reserve this truck we really dont have any but Ill let you use one. I asked if there would be any additional charges and they stated no. Truck itself was fine. When I went to turn it in, no one was there. I dropped the keys into the dropbox and tried to return it online to find it say I do not have a reservation or order. I call the 1800 number and she tells me I will get charged a late fee for not checking the truck online even though it show I have no order, no one was there and I was on time. I wake up today to find they charged me for TWO days in addition to a late fee! Called to talk to the manager once again on hold for half an hour then they hang up on me and will not answer. It appears this place is cheaper but it is not. Go with Penske or someone else , stay clear of uhaul. Terrible.

I tried to fill up some propane at this place. A guy came out, without even greeting me he grabbed my propane tank put it on the ground and tried to find some date label. After some time he simply said I cant fill this up for you. I replied with a Good morning to you too and a smile. He then simply stated Its the law.My concern here is not that I didnt get the propane. Im sure there was a good reason for not filling it up. My concern is the absolute zero social ability of this extremely rude employee. To not even greet your customers when they pick your store instead of any of your competitors has to be a clear indication that you might be in the wrong job.

Never have I been treated so badly by a company. Do not use this location they are unreliable and do honor their appointments. Then if you attempt to reach them customer service places you on permanent hold and NEVER return calls when told they will call you. I was told 7 times a manager would call and he never did, I was overcharged and still to this day have not been reimbursed for the overcharges as well they attempted to make additional fraudulent charges after our transactions had been completed. I will be filing formal charges against this company with the better business bureau.

Had a reservation for a tandem axle covered trailer and when I arrived the disinterested and unhelpful guy at the counter told me I was supposed to be there at eight that morning and wasn’t so they rented my reserved trailer. My reservation was for a four pm pick up which my wife can verify as she was on the phone with me when I made it. I then asked if he could find me a trailer at another location and he yawned, looked at a message on his cell phone, and began tapping on his keyboard. After a couple of minutes he mumbled nothing was available. I left and located a trailer at the Windsor, CO location which I reserved and had excellent service at that location. I will never again go to this Fort Collins location.

Took 2 weeks to even get an appointment to get a trailer hitch installed. We get to the location and because there is no parking on the north side we parked on the south side of the building. 2 seconds after we got out of the car we got yelled at and was told to move because thats where the trucks park. No trucks were returned the whole time we spent there. Anyway we move the cars and end up parking clear in the back where most of the trucks actually were. My appointment was at 10 am. We got there a little before 10 and had to stand in line for 25 minutes anyway. And more people had parked in the exact spots where we were told to move from and nothing was said to them. We finally get to the line and they tell me my appointment is not until 1. Why would I be there at 10 if my appointment is not until 1? I even showed him my appointment confirmation and he just blew it off and said we cant get it in until 1. I needed the hitch so we had to let them do it. It was supposedly only 1.5 hour job but we didnt pick the car up until almost 4 PM.Very poor customer service and dont bother making an appointment because they wont keep it anyway!UPDATE: wiring needs redone already barely 6 weeks after it was done. The wire was left to rub on the tire and axle of the car and can already see copper! Have tried to call and speak with them about this 3 times and they do not return phone calls either!

Made a reservation a month in advance, they took my card to get me a reservation number and I thought everything was good... come in the day of my reservation only to find that they canceled it because a “card was not on file”, which would be understandable if a card was indeed not on file, but the clerk HAD taken my card so the error was on their end. They had stated that the “reservation” number was merely just for a quote and did not guatentee that I actually had a truck.... only advice I can give is to ensure they actually saved your card info in their system or else they will screw you.

Are you kidding me this place is the most unprofessional and disorganized business I have been to in months. First time I used them, used the express check in before I came in to speed up the process. Spoiler alert: doesnt speed anything up. At all. They also didnt even have the vehicle that I asked for. So after another thirty minutes of inviting things out I finally got Out of there.So here I am the second time, and I reserve a truck for when they open, because I have only asked for half a day off from work to move. I walk in the door at 710, and I walk into an office with zero employees, and about ten people in line. I stood here like the rest of the people awkwardly for about fifteen minutes before an employee finally walked in the door. Three more employees walked in shortly after. The line has moved by about one person dice employees have entered, and its been twenty minutes. Give me a break.You will be able to move easier and quicker if you walk all your stuff from your old house to your new one.

Unreal. I’ve been trying to get my U-Box delivered for 3 days and have not been able to reach a live person who has any record of my order. The website is unhelpful and directs me back to a 1-800 number. I’ve spent a cumulative 4 hours on hold. The individual contractor who picked up my box was great; the box has been in storage for 1 month, and now I need it delivered just a few miles away. I’ve spoken with three people who have told me three different things, all of which involve paying for delivery despite the fact that I’ve already paid to have it delivered (when I paid for pickup).This location is understaffed, and the folks who work in the office are clearly fourth-grade dropouts. I’d complain to management, but having been on hold for the last 25 minutes, I’m starting to lose faith that anyone is even there.

Reserved a 15 truck in person at the location 5 days before we planned on moving everything. I went in the evening before to pickup what we had reserved, and the location had no equipment on site to rent. The excuse i was fed is that somebody didnt complete the reservation, and the equipment wasnt actually reserved. How does that even happen? Now we have no truck to move with, no dolley to move appliances with, and less than a day to scramble to get something together, get it all loaded, and moved. Dont even waste your time with these clowns. The only act they know, is how to waste your time and patience.

DO NOT GO HERE. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. LOCATION WILL NOT ANSWER PHONE. BAD HITCH INSTALLATION.I got a hitch installed here in January 2018. I made the appointment and got to the location to have the service done. They asked if I would be leaving the car their that night to pick up in the morning. I live an hour away and thought the service would be completed that night. Nowhere on the website or on the phone did they state that it would not be able to be completed during the scheduled time. They completed the job that night, but the job was rushed. They technician even left a ratchet wrench in my engine bay, I was lucky I popped the hood and found it before it fell and damaged anything. All wiring was run very poorly and hangs near moving and hot parts on my car that could damage the wiring. In May 2018 the wiring is already not working. I have been trying to call the location to see how they can help and they will not answer their phone. After a while the call is directed to a call center, where the people are very friendly and helpful. The representative I spoke to sent messages via phone and instant message to the location on Saturday and they not returned my call as of noon the following Tuesday. On Tuesday I called the location again only to get sent to the call center. The representative at the call center was once again very helpful, but was unable to get a hold of the location in person so left the General Manager of the location another phone and instant message. I am now leaving this review so I can hopefully prevent someone else from going through a similar situation.

Super awesome help when I needed it the most! Rolled up just before closing with no brake lights and no ideas.Tom did an amazing job helping us. He ended up splicing two connectors together, and actually making us the cable we needed. Had us on the road inside of 30 minutes. This was our 3rd stop, and at 7pm on a Saturday no less. Tom was a real life saver. We wouldve been on the interstate without lights at night. 10/10, will go back.

Terrible customer service reaction to taping product I sought to return since I was unhappy with performance. I had used only only fraction of product and returned rest expecting refund or credit. I was prepared to buy more items but return became a nightmare negotiation that was disproportionate to situation. Manager on duty had to call GM, Mr. Osterberg, who only offered store credit for FUTURE purchase rather than apply immediately. Minor detail- I was moving out of state the following week! After spending thousands of dollars with UHaul in recent months I was appalled how little they cared that I left like I was treated fairly. I declined to buy anything more (value equal to return) and went to Ace Hardware instead where customer service is an apparent corporate value.Barry

Come by to experience to convergence of poor customer service and near incompetence!After entering I thought I was getting lucky. First I was told they wouldnt be able to fix/repair/replace the tow wiring (installed on on the truck at a different uhaul for the previous owner) until another employee arrived to work in a few hours. Then, as if sent by those above an employee emerged from the back who had just completed something or other and would be able to start on my truck right away! A few minutes later I comes back in to grab me, he was unable to get the truck started... but for me it started immediately, first turn of the key (perhaps he didnt quite get the clutch all the way to the floor as he thought). We stood in line for 45 minutes to purchase a box with no customer service to be found. Staff was annoyed to be there. They should staff weekends with more than 2 people. In addition, we bought a TV box that should have included foam protectors. We got home and no foam protectors were in the box. Overall, a disappointing experience.

To start- the customer service here is terrible.The multiple staff Ive encountered (apart from the manager) have been as incompetent as they are unpleasant, particularly the girl I spoke to on the phone earlier today. She had clearly not been trained, and should not be allowed to answer the phone or speak to customers until she learns more about U-Haul services and basic customer service, at the very least. Ive used multiple U-Haul services over the years (including this location, under different management) and never encountered such rude and poorly prepared staff.As other reviewers have noted, the wait times here are extremely long, and there is literally no reason or explanation for it. They will also try to overcharge you for services. The other location in town, while not perfect, is much better, and will save you a great deal of time, money, and energy.If you must go here- prepare for a long wait, double-check your bill, and ask to speak to a manager.

I purchased a Yakima 2” bike carrier for my Subaru Outback, and went to U-Haul to get a 2” trailer hitch installed on my car. When I got the car back, it had only a 1.25” hitch. So I told them the problem and the guy sold me 1.25”-2” adapter hitch. Since it stuck out so far he told me I’d have to guy my carrier with cables attached to the car roof. For me that was unacceptable. So I wanted them to remove the 1.25” hitch and replace it with the 2”. I explained that to the U-Haul lady on the phone. She said they don’t stock the 2” hitch but I could order it online and then they’d install it after removing the 1.25” hitch. So I purchased the 2” hitch online. When I got ready to take it down to U-Haul for installation they told me that U-Haul wasn’t allowed to install it on the Subaru, some incompatibility problems I guess. From the get-go it would’ve been good if the U-Haul staff could’ve gotten their act together so I wouldn’t have had to go through all this aggravation. They are a business in my town and I want them to be successful, but. . . . come on guys!!!

It’s not the employees fault, they are friendly and helpful. Corporate needs to get this place staffed properly. Maybe consider paying more than minimum wage?

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Set up an appointment to weeks ahead of time to have trailer lights installed for my truck. When I went in for the appointment they said the parts have not come in and were back ordered. Never received any kind of phone call ahead of time or ever again. Also tried to return boxes that were brand new from the same person I bought them from and said they couldn’t return them without a receipt. Was never told that from the beginning. And they even said he remembered me purchasing the boxes from them. Find a different Uhaul location at all cost.

I scheduled a hitch installation online through their company site where I picked a date and time. I showed up at the date and time and they told me my appointment moved to another date and time without any notice. Luckily I had the email, printout, and text showing the initial appointment but they initially were not willing to help. We were leaving town the next day so could not do their schedule. The women at the counter was rude and unhelpful at first. She handed it off to another person and they problem solved. I had to drive to Boulder but am getting it installed right now. They definitely need to fix their system so I would recommend calling to set this up instead of online.

To start with, if you actually go here in person, youll be waiting in line for 15+ minutes even if the person n front of you is just buying a box. If you call them, youre going to be on hold 20-40+ minutes.I was supposed to get a hitch installed on my car here last week. You somehow messed up and gave my hitch to someone else. Got rescheduled for this week to get the hitch and trailer. When I showed up, after waiting in line 20 minutes, found they had changed my appointment without consulting me to a day AFTER my move date. Waited more for the manager to show up to figure out what was going on. Apparently she somehow lost the second hitch too, and any other hitches were backordered, so she just figured shed change my appointment without telling me what what going on and somehow in her mind this was no problem at all. No problem at all that I now dont have a hitch, a trailer, a truck, or any other way to move my furniture. So now I have to ditch all my furniture and half my boxes, resulting in me adding thousands of dollars in cost to my move. If any places deserves negative starts, its this one.

Weve moved several times within Fort Collins and always choose this U-Haul center. They seem to be the most likely to have trucks not reserved, and more availability for later reservations. The line and service are really, really slow though, and weve been rented out dirty U-Hauls before.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at this U-Haul location. I had scheduled an appointment to have a hitch installed on my truck and arrived on time but had to wait 30 minutes before they were ready to take my keys and begin work. Once the appointment began I waited 1.5 hours before they called me up to the front. They explained that the hitch I had ordered had not yet arrived and that their team was therefore unable to begin installation on my car. During this time my car had been moved onto a work stand for installation and even though they were finished with the appointment they were having trouble starting my car. I went around the back and spoke with a mechanic who thought he might have killed the battery by leaving the hood open. I discovered that the battery was fine and that he had simply left the car in reverse and this is why it wouldnt start. I put the car in park and it started. I left U-Haul after scheduling a follow-up appointment but on my way back to work I felt a long gash in the side of my steering wheel. I imagine that one of the mechanics who had been working on it (possibly the larger man who was unable to make it start) had caused the damage when positioning himself in the drivers seat in his haste to move my car. I spent several hours following up with U-Haul, waiting on hold, trying to figure out if I could be compensated for the damage to my steering wheel but nobody was able to help. I canceled the follow up appointment and have since ordered a hitch online and installed it myself with a bit of help from a neighbor. This has been a truly frustrating experience, as someone who is meticulous about car care I was very sad about the scratch which I feel each time I drive the car now. It reminds me of the hours I took off of work (hours I could have been spending with family and friends) and the negative experience I had at this location where they were not prepared, well trained or able to help when a mistake was made by one of their employees. I may never work with U-Haul again but I hope this testimony at least serves others who are considering an installation of this type.

Nice places, lots more staff than expected here so things went very quickly we were able to rent our truck get the keys use it and bring it back. Upon bringing it back someone met us and look at truck for about 2mins then said have a nice day, simple and effective.

What a complete joke. I showed up after driving 1.5 hours to pickup my rental and they didn’t have it, despite having a reservation. The staff could’ve cared less about my inconvenience and simply said that they would cancel the reservation. They offered me nothing but excuses and rolled their eyes as they proceeded to just help other guests.I would stay away from this place. Find another Uhaul to support!

I had just been in a car accident and wasnt in the best state of mind, and she went way above and beyond to help me get a truck and then some, and was extremely supportive and understanding through the whole thing with an outstanding level of service. I’m still at a complete loss after my experience with this location and U-haul in general. On the day of my appointment (for a hitch install) I received a phone call letting me know ‘no one would be there’ at the time of my appointment so I should reschedule - after I had planned a busy day around it. Ok... so I told them just how urgent it was (moving across the country a week later) and was able to get in (at an inconvenient time) the next day.After a long wait there, the two guys (one a teenager?) working on my car were unable to install the hitch. It wasn’t clear why. They couldn’t get the bolts in because something was wrong with the bumper. ??? First I’d heard of it. (Edit: I just had the car looked at by Super Rupair in Boulder - very reputable - and was told there’s absolutely no reason why a hitch couldn’t have been installed. So basically, the technicians had no idea what they were doing.)Finally one of them told me he could help me with another solution - he’d reserve me a U-haul truck and I’d tow my car behind it when I move. I literally triple checked all the details with him before leaving because of my stress about the move - the price, the pickup location, and what I was picking up (truck and trailer to tow the car).I was told I would receive a confirmation email right then. Two hours later, no email. So I called back and spoke with a woman who was audibly annoyed at having to speak with me. She checked over what I asked her to, confirmed it all, and sent me the confirmation email.Every aspect of it was incorrect. The price, the location, and what I was picking up. Thus ensued an extremely long phone experience with several employees who each gave me conflicting information and who, twice, disconnected me or transferred my call to someone with no knowledge of my situation. I finally got the reservation right but was made to feel foolish about the original price. “Why would you think anyone would have given you that price!? That’s absurd,” etc. etc. I was given different pick up details and was quoted a price three times what had been given originally.At the end of this 8 hour ordeal I was practically in tears on the phone, having no idea how I would make my move, unable to afford what they were now asking, everyone else booked up at this point. At no point did anyone apologize, try to help me out, or offer me a discount for all the issues I’d had, or misinformation and messed up appointments and reservations I’d been given. What would have happened if I hadn’t called!? After all, I was told multiple times that everything was set! I would have gone to pick up my truck and car trailer the day of my move, only to find it only the car trailer, at a very different price, and at a much different location. Unreal...I’m at a loss. No one has been able to help or even give me consistent information/guidance. It doesn’t seem like anyone cares enough to make it right. And at worst it appears I was intentionally jerked around because they didn’t want to deal with me any more.All this time I was unable to speak with the person who originally ‘helped’ me at this location. I’ve left a bit out too, for lengths sake. Absolutely unacceptable on so many levels. Unless things change drastically, avoid this location, and U-haul, at all costs.

As crooked as they come.Dont bother with this place. After making a reservation several weeks in advance for a 26 foot truck we received a call telling us that the truck would be available as requested. So my wife and I drove 50 miles from a different city because we didnt have a U-haul near where we live. When we arrived they had a 20 foot truck waiting for us and treated us like they had done us some great favor, even going so far as to say. We were lucky to even get the 20 foot truck. They then offered to throw a dinky little trailer on the back to compensate.After doing the math, we were basically shorted 400 square feet of moving room, and I had to rent a storage unit and determine what I would leave behind. I am moving 350 miles away, and on my weekends will need to drive the 350 miles back to my storage unit and probably rent another trailer (but not from them) to get the rest of my stuff. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Unbelievably slow. I arrived at 8am on a Saturday. There were 7 people ahead of me and 2 employees at the counter. It took 90 minutes (1.5 hours) for me to get to the counter. When I left, there were 30 people standing in line after me. OMG, the counter staff made the DMV employees look like hyper rabbits.

$19 trailer rental, great right? Dont forget to add the $20 in fees, factor in that they never answer the phone, and lost the trailer I returned 3 hours early and then charged me more. Feels like I just got scammed by an airline with hidden fees. Choose any place to rent over a U-Haul, it will end up cheaper.

Placed an order on line on 3/6 to have a hitch installed on Saturday 3/22. When I called on 3/20 to find out what time I should bring my vehicle in, I was informed they moved my appointment to Monday 3/24 at 7:00 am. They did not contact me to tell me they moved my installation date or to see if the new date and time would work. Their lack of consideration is unprofessional and unacceptable.

This is the worst store ever. Do not come here to fill a propane tank. I have been there 3 times and they never have someone to fill propane, despite many employees. My wife took the tank in a fourth time and they finally had someone. Buuuuut they wouldn’t fill it because the inspection seal was a sticker and not a metal plate. It’s like they are looking for ways to not do work.

Awful experience with The customer service I received. I was charged an additional $18 a day for some coverage I was never even spoke to about. But I was sure charges for it. Then when I called the number on the emailed receipt ... I was treated like crap and was hung on when I asked the guy to talk decent to me or the conversation was over. It was evident he couldnt speak nice or treat me like a valued customer because he just hung up on me. I will never use uhaul for anything again. I am appalled at how I was treated. And ever more so for the location not disclosing what they were charging me for.

Had an appointment with them to get a hitch installed Waited 45 minutes to drop off the car, to be told there was nobody who could do it that day. They told me to come back in the morning. Waited 1.5hrs to drop it off, to be told they couldnt get it done. Thats two appointments not honored. Because I made a fuss, they fit it in.Terrible customer service - this is being run like a government agency, not a business. They really dont care at all.Also, dont try to call them - they simply wont answer the phone.

We scheduled a truck pickup a week and a half in advance, got there to pick up our truck, and were told that the reservation had been cancelled and that there were no trucks available. After the (admittedly very nice) young man at the counter spent about half an hour working with corporate to get us a truck at a different location, we were told that they made a reservation at a location in Loveland, and that they wouldnt charge mileage. False. The other location informed us they would charge mileage. We cancelled our entire reservation. Well go somewhere else.

Very poor customer service! I was on hold for ten minutes before I got a representative. She told me her computer was running slow and that she was going to transfer me right away to another representative. No one picked up for another twelve minutes. Finally I got someone from a national car center. By the time they looked all available trucks in the size I needed were gone.Not worth your time or money. Go to Budget or someone else.

U-Haul and this particular location, has one of the worst checkout customer service systems I have ever experienced. On numerous occasions it has taken over an hour to get a truck rented. The associates are doing their best, but unfortunately, Uhaul looks to be an awful company!! Do yourself a favor and rent your truck from Penske - they have fantastic service.

Horrible, if i could give 0 stars i would . I made a reservation around a month ago, got a confirmation email and even talked with an online chat today. My reservation was for tomorrow (7/31). Got a message today at 4:45pm saying they didnt have enough vans so they were canceling my reservation and i could call them if i wanted a different day. I called the number i was left to complain and encountered and extremely rude customer service representative (wish i had got her name, she claimed to be a manager). She informed me there was nothing to be done and the closest available for tomorrow was in Brighton and i would have to pay upgrade fees and the additional mileage/gas. Unacceptable. She went on to inform me that a reservation was not a guarantee (since when?!) even though my email confirmation implied it was reserved and would be waiting for me. So again I urge you to stay away not only due to their unreliability but for their atrocious customer service.

I have had terrible experiences with other Uhauls and wont do business with any other even if its out of state Ill book thru them. Worst moving experience ever. Here’s our story: When we did the look over before driving off the lot, the employee said there was a quarter tank of gas. We looked and pointed out it was less and she said she’d change that. Drove it immediately to a gas station and put half a tank in before we even started loading. When we backed the truck in, we noticed it was leaking. We pulled forward and discovered the puddle was fuel. When we looked under the truck we saw their patchwork job on the fuel tank but it was leaking so severely that we had to try and put pans under to catch all the excess fuel as to not contaminate our neighborhood. When we called and got sent to roadside assistance, they told us to go ahead and fill the truck and they’d send out a mechanic to try and fix it on the spot. If he couldn’t fix it, they said they would tow the truck to the new location and try to get us a new truck. Because the mechanic couldn’t fix it after taking an hour to get there and then the tow truck took over an hour, we didn’t get a new truck before the store closed. This cut so much of our moving time out, I don’t know if we’ll get our full deposit back from our property management company... we had such a short amount of time to clean. We got a new truck first thing the following morning and the woman helping us said she’d smelled fuel the previous day! When we returned the new truck, we mentioned to Larry, the manager, that there was a huge leak in the fuel tank. He tried to tell us the people drill holes in the fuel tanks, happens all the time. No... it was leaking from the seam. Don’t try to blow us off with a crappy lie. They couldn’t find our original contract from the first leaking truck and said they would send an invoice. We paid the $74 but then came a week and a half ago wasn’t an invoice but just a message saying we owed over $1200... WHAT?! We were quoted and agreed upon $64 for an in town, same location return. Finally after the run around, we found out this was due to driving over 1400 miles... in Fort Collins. We maybe did a total of 10. We’re still working on getting it resolved no thanks to Larry Wostenberg who was useless and never returned our calls... he’s been on vacation. Left a message to the president, Mike Bleu... no response yet. Honestly, they shouldn’t be charging us at all since they put our lives in danger with a bomb on wheels (which could’ve not only harmed/killed us but could’ve caused us to lose our possessions), cost us the fuel we put in, possibly cost us our deposit, and caused so much stress that could’ve been avoided if a trained employee had taken the time to look over the truck to notice the major issue. And this being a clerical error should have been able to be resolved by anyone at the location. Never using them again and will be warning everyone we know not to use this location. Unacceptable.

Tried to get a hitch here installed - I would NEVER, EVER go back to this location because of the incompetence I experienced. 45 minutes after having the hitch installed, I went to pick up a trailer at a different location and thats when we noticed the disconnected, live wire on top of my car battery and the fact that none of the wiring worked. After consulting two different mechanics, uhaul doesnt even have a kit that would actually work on my car (a 2017 RAV4 hybrid), in addition to the safety hazard of leaving a live wire so close to my car battery. I tried multiple times to get ahold of a manager. After three days, corporate finally connected me to the manager, where he denied getting any message about my complaints. However, the hitch installer called me multiple times trying to cover his poorly done job. I got one sorry over the phone which a five year old could have said better. If I owned this uhaul, Id fire all the staff and restart - not one in the bunch who has any business in customer service.

Avoid this location- literally ANY other u-haul is a better choice, even if the location is further away. This location does not deserve 2.6 stars. If I could rate 0 I would- for poor (read: horrible) customer service, apathetic or argumentative staff, and insanely long and completely unnecessary wait times.
