My Sister (from Ohio) ordered me a variety (dozen) of their cupcakes for my birthday.I went over to pick them up. The young lady who waited on me was very friendly and helpful.They had my order of Birthday cupcakes ready and waiting.I brought them home and my son and I ate half of them in the first 3 days. We had to hold back from eating more...they tasted as good as they looked...delicious.They were so good!Great birthday gift!

Love this place! I ordered mini cupcakes for a recent event and they were so helpful in helping me choose from all of their different options. I love going in from time to time just to treat myself... Their vegan cupcakes are wonderful!

We have a family member that is gluten-free and dairy free, which makes finding a dessert difficult. Thankfully they had some wonderful tasting cupcakes that fit the bill! Usually this is a special order, but they had some extras from another order. So call well in advance!

Found a gem when we found this place! The cupcakes are divine! My favorite was the cherry chocolate! Moist cake baked perfectly with light and delicious buttercream frosting! Cant wait to go back!

I really wanted to try this bakery, and I left a voicemail on 8/23 about wanting to place an order for a dozen cupcakes with 3 days advance notice. I gave all of my contact information in the message, but I never received a call back. I even tried calling again the next day, but I was never able to reach someone. I would have gone into the store, but I live in Greeley and was hoping to pick up the cupcakes when I was in Fort Collins for a few appointments. Im disappointed that I never was contacted about this order, and we had to take our business elsewhere.

My wife and I got married in November 2018 so we wanted Fall flavored cupcakes. Butter Cream Cupcakery was so easy to order from! They let us know their cupcake flavor of the day way in advance so we could order those as well as their normal flavors. SO GOOD!!!

Its been a while since Ive been to this location, but I love their cupcakes. I usually go in for the minis because they are indulgent. Theyre an occasional treat. I love seeing what new flavors they have in rotation and trying new flavors.From what I remember, I think this location on college has one little place to sit, but the one by Safeway has tables and is the one I go to for the most part now.

So disappointed. We used to love this place. When it was a new shop, we loved it so much we had our wedding cupcakes made from here. I used to make special trips for anniversary’s and birthdays and just for fun. But in the last year we have been here several times hoping we will get a really good cupcake. Every time is worse than the last and the last time was me taking one bite and trashing it. Granted maybe we shouldn’t go in the afternoon for some but yikes. The cupcakes are dry and tasteless, they taste old really and the frosting seems like it’s old and dried out and it’s way too sugary to boot and I love sugar! The basic flavors are gross now. We had one good cupcake there in an entire year, the mini golden Oreo. I tried so hard to not give up on this place but I’m giving up. With the high prices, it better be mild blowing most times and it’s not. I think you need to keep your cupcakes in back, in a fridge and have a list of them in the front. They are just getting gross as they swelter in the cases waiting for someone to buy them. The basic flavors should all be thrown out after 2 days tops and/or def kept in the fridge. We won’t be back and won’t recommend them anymore :(

Great cupcakes! I was visiting the area and stopped by to alleviate a craving. I started off with two smaller cupcake options to ensure I would like it! Being pleasantly surprised, the vanilla and red velvet cupcakes were sublime! I quickly ordered larger cupcakes of both flavors! Very rich, frosting did not overwhelm the cake flavors as one would think. Very filling and an amazing purchase! Would certainly recommend.

Gourmet expensive cupcakes shouldn’t taste dry, a day old stale and not fresh ... not sure if I want to waste my $ again

You wanna talk about delicious? Let me tell you about delicious! We live no where close to Butter Cream Cupcakery, but we took the 45 miles drive just to try out there cupcakes, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! They didn’t make it easy on me trying to pick just one, luckily they have mini cupcakes and that made my decision easy. I could try all the flavors and not feel as guilty for buying one of each.

Yummy cupcakes! Some standard flavors as well as a monthly flavor and rotating daily flavors. They have great gluten free options, fresh on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and in the freezer on other days (they thaw quickly). The gluten free has a fantastic texture, too.

Their cupcakes are SUPER rich and amazing. First went for my birthday and definitely wasnt disappointed! Every time we go by, we wanna stop in for half a dozen of assorted flavors (cant pick a favorite!).

I had them make 100 cupcakes for my wedding. I had chocolate, red velvet, and french toast as our flavors. My venue was considerably outside of their reach for delivery, so we had to pick them up but it worked out just fine. The cupcakes were perfect and delicious! Thank you! Everyone loved them! I highly recommend them!

My husband and I needed cupcakes for our wedding in Estes Park. This shop was incredible!! From the flavor choices to the service, everything was top notch and very impressive!! They even drove to Estes and set up the whole display for us. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for anything you need to do with cupcakes, especially weddings!

This is a good cupcake store - the confections were delicious and the employee was really nice. These are gourmet cupcakes at a high price tag too - so consider the recipient... if you are shopping for kids...grocery store cupcakes would suffice.

This place has the best gluten free cupcakes! And even better, every other Wednesday they make gluten free vegan cupcakes that my egg allergic spouse can eat. Buttercream Cupcakery is a win for the gluten free crowd!

Cupcakes were so dry and so was the icing. I tried all flavors and they were all bland and dry. Tried to give a bite to my dog and she wouldnt even go for it. Price not worth it for dry unsweet cupcakes. Even the icing was hard and definitely not sweet.

Fist time getting my cake here for my mom turning 50, and we just moved into two, everywhere was closed and we called this place supper late after trying to many places, and they still picked and were able to fix us in, very find people, friendly and made me happy finally I got the cake and guys!!!!.. it was BOOM!!!!!! Simply The BEST!! The Butter Cream Cupcakery is a wonderful bakery and business!! The customer service is fabulous, the ambiance and locations are great and the cupcakes.... well, theyre simply amazing! I once had a coconut cupcake there... I still think about it when wondering what I should have or buy for dessert! Also, I personally know this company to be very philanthropic and giving. Im a local volunteer for an organization that serves abused and neglected children and Butter Cream contacted management to let them know they would be donating a portion of their proceeds to CASA this month! So wonderful!! Will be visiting here more often!!

The person that waited on me was very pleasant. However, the product that I bought on the morning of 01-04-18 left a lot to be desired. First, I left the store asking myself when their really expensive cupcakes shrank in size? Next, was my disappointment in how dry they were which went well beyond being over-baked. For not much more I could have bought an entire, and fresh, birthday cake at Whole Foods which is exactly what I will do next time.

Cute place, unfortunately the cupcakes were disappointing. My friend and I were anxiously looking forward to our first visit to Butter Cream two weeks ago The place is cute and simple which was nice but the cupcakes we had were dry and mediocre at best. Not sure if we will give it another try or not.

I only had a few hours in Fort Collins but when I saw this store I knew I had to stick around till it opened.My friend has a rule that whenever a place he goes to offers a peanut butter dessert, he has to try it. It was fate that the peanut butter cup cupcake happened to be the random cupcake flavor that had been picked for the day. He was obligated to get it, and enjoyed every decadent bite.I got the four pack that included the Peanut Butter Cup, Vanilla Bean, Red Velvet, and an Almond Poppyseed cupcake. At the time of writing this, Ive eaten all but the Peanut Butter Cup, and I can honestly say the Red Velvet Cupcake is the best baked good Ive ever tasted.

I had vanilla bean cupcakes and salted caramel. Both were moist and the frosting was fantastic. These were probably the best cupcakes I have had in my life. The service was impeccable.

BEST Cupcakery Ive ever been to! Ive made it a point to always try different cupcake shops when I travel to compare and not a single place has ever exceeded Buttercream! I even went to Sprinkles in California to see what all the fuss and hype was about and to be honest they didnt even compare, not even in the same realm!!! I have now turned into a cupcake snob and the only place that satisfies my desire is Buttercream Cupcakery in Fort Collins, Co! The staff is great, its family owned which is so awesome, and the cupcakes speak for themselves!!!

I bought three mini cupcakes so I could try out the different flavors. I have had cupcakes from cupcake shops from a variety of places and these were by far the worst. All three were extremely dry and the frosting just didnt taste very good. I was highly disappointed. I have made better cupcakes from a box. I did get friendly and prompt service though.

Buttercream provided the desserts for my wedding and the cupcakes were delicious! My guests loved them and I worked with Brittany to set everything up and she was so nice and helpful.

Dry cupcakes, very disappointing. Went in 30 minutes before close, but you should not be selling dry cupcakes for $3.25 even if it is the end of the day. Will not be giving them my business ever again.

They are amazing! I recommend them to everyone I know! They also donate the end of day leftovers to local charities.

If you are in the mood to be disappointed, this is the place to go. They were out of at least half their cupcakes, which were obviously NOT fresh. The butter cream frosting was HARD. When I went to lick the frosting on the first cupcake, instead of getting some on the tip of my tongue the whole chunk of frosting fell off the cupcake....and held its shape. And the cupcakes were DRY and bland!Literally the most disappointing cupcakes I have ever had.

For all of you saying it closes early is because it’s a bakery. Once they run out they close because there is no point in making a bunch of cupcakes especially if it’s a couple hours till close. Second when people are saying the buttercream is hard and you cannot lick it off it’s because buttercream frosting hardens after a while. In all I’m trying to say look up your fax before you complain and give a horrible review.

Came up to Fort Collins for the weekend stopped in here and my vanilla cupcake with Chocalate frosting was super dry and not spongy or moist at all. Not the best cupcake for $3.00

The icing was melt - in - your - mouth smooth, but all the cupcakes were dry and sickeningly sweet. Way overpriced for the quality...and not worth the calories.

Cupcakes dry- if I had to guess they freeze their product and sell at a later date. Sorry, wont be back

We attempted to shop by this location yesterday, Valentines 2016. The location had posted on instagram that they would be open. As we were walking up to the doors the girls inside switched the open sign to closed. A woman who had just left the store commented, Im not sure why they are closing, they still have cupcakes. This was at 5:15 pm.

Very disappointed. The shop seems to close earlier than advertised. This is the second time we have walked all the way there to find them closed. Tonight they said they were sold out but saw plenty in the case.
