Fort Collins Creator hub is one of the most spectacular resources in all of town. My how they evolved over the course of the last several years!Whether youre a student inventor, creator, designer, producer, artist, electrician, woodworker metalworker, 3D printer, laser engraver, Machinist, drone enthusiast, AI geek, or just a technology hobbyist youll find everything you need and even more at this wonderful gem of an openly educational community.Today there was a large group of students learning in a Hands-On educational setting utilizing the laser engraver system. From lathes and heavy machinery to sewing/embroidering machines, soldering, and Arduinos you may find more tools here then you know what to do with! Its only $50 a month for membership and if you sign up to volunteer for four hours a week or more youll get eligibility for free membership.

This place is awesome. Great tools and great people. Dont hesitate to become a member. Its a great deal for the tools you get access to. Lots of training resources too.

Really not worth the money. Most of the hand tools are worse than my personal tools, and they never have classes for the tools that require classes. I was there for one day and just didnt feel comfortable working on things there with people asking questions and giving me dirty looks. They thrive off one month memberships cause most people realize its not worth paying for after a month.

The creator hub is a growing resource in Fort Collins. They offer fun classes in a wide range of disciplines for all (not just members) and have a lot of useful equipment for the use of members. Both classes Ive taken have been fun and pretty informal. In addition to wood- and metal-working equipment, they also have things like 3D printers and other useful equipment for making all kinds of stuff. I have enjoyed my interactions with the Hub.

I took an intro to Arduino course here. It was interesting and well-run. I understand the space is consistently being worked on and improved so I expect it will be even better the next time I come.My major comment is that most of the classes and the leadership seem to be male. As a woman I would encourage the leadership to try to find more female members, and also to try and find ladies to teach classes and make the place feel welcoming to folks of all genders. I dont think that it is unwelcoming at the moment, I just think there could be more of an effort to be more balanced in gender representation in leadership and who teaches classes.

I took a women, welding, and wine class here recently and was delighted to get over my fear of welding in a relaxed setting and make the start of a fun garden sculpture. The place is loosely organized, as all-volunteer outfits always are, but I think its an excellent and rare community resource and I hope that eventually staff can be hired and course offerings expanded! I would highly recommend the affordable and creative courses here.

I was very excited that Fort Collins had a makerspace, and was even more excited to know that the people here are so nice! The space is still in its first stages of development, but with the diverse talent in this community, the space will undoubtedly be awesome in the near future. There are 3D printers and plenty of wood working tools and machines. It’s a very “free-for all” environment, so it’s key to reach out and get some info/instructions on some of the gadgets here. Everyone has always been willing to help me out. This isn’t a receptionist type place, so communication with the founder and members is crucial to utilizing the space. There are tons of classes offered, and lots of opportunity to learn new things!

I joined the Fort Collins creator hub in November 2017. I had great interest in the gear at first but after starting to show up, I met so many people with such great knowledge that it really allowed me to explore all the technology at the HUB and get inspired.People are typically busy working but they are more than helpful if you have questions, stop by and someone will surely help explain how it works etc. Also, the creator hub is currently in the middle of some major expansion and moving of lots of equipment so it gets sort messy and looks a bit messy, but in the end I think the leaders have a great plan for a final layout which will make each area (wood shop, metal shop, tech shop, etc) really nice.

I took a soldering class at the Creator Hub. It was fun and something I wouldnt have done on my own. I co-taught a pour painting class that got a positive response. Especially now with additional space, I look forward to taking (and teaching) more craft-maker classes in the future.

I have taken several classes here and really enjoyed the support from the team. Well taught classes by helpful people.Fees are reasonable, especially for families, and they are flexible on how long you want/need their facilities. I also really like that members can access the facility 24/7.The place is still growing, and improving, so sometime communication is not always the best. (It’s a volunteer organization). So if you are planning to attend an event, sign up on meetup and ensure organizer is going to lead the event. If you just “drop in” you may find that leader didn’t show up because people were not signed up.

Classes are taught be enthusiastic and knowledgeable people. From Arduinos to pour painting to welding theres some way at the Hub to learn to be a creator rather than just a consumer.I appreciate that we have a vibrant maker space right here in Fort Collins! Im looking forward to contributing to an inclusive and congenial community.

Great idea for Fort Collins! They have a wide range or tools and experts to help you learn how to use them properly. They seem very responsive to the needs and wants of members. I give 4 stars only because the hub is still very new and still getting organized.

Visited the space as requested in the steps on the website during business hours and was greeted by a annoyed user who opened the door for me. No volunteer. No staff. I would encourage this location to update their website instructions inviting interested community members to make an appointment for a tour instead of encouraging a visit if no one is going to be on location to greet visitors and offer tours. A little frustrating to make the trek North of town for such an uninviting reception. Cool concept but disappointing for visitors/potential customers.

Ive been to a couple of their classes listed in the recreator. The classes were great. The class room is cold and if someone is sawing can be noisy. My understanding is they are expanding into a unit next door in order to have a better classroom and 3D printing area.

This is a great creator space that is on the move. The classes and meetups are excellent. I attended a drone building night, where experts were freely sharing their drone making skills. You would have to spend thousands of dollars to own the machines they have and you would always be left short. If youre seriously into a making hobby, or are incubating some product prototypes for your startup, you would do well to check this place out, or take one of the classes they sponsor.

If you love creating/inventing/building things but dont have your own shop this is the place. CNC router, laser cutter, 3D printers along with more conventional woodworking, metalworking and electronics tools and supplies. And some really smart people wandering around that can answer your questions. Im glad I discovered this place.

I stopped by last week during business hours. Front door was locked had to go in the side entrance. There were 3 users 2 of them pointed me to the 3rd person when I said is there anyone that could answer questions about the place and help me. That person I could tell was annoyed which I would not blame them they were there to do what they came there to do work on something. I was told to sign in on the computer for liability reasons. The person pointed out there was no one staffing the place and that was that. I was excited to have a location so close but am more willing to go a little further for a more welcoming feeling. There is also the chance it was a one off day and I get that. So I would consider giving it a go again to before I completely write it off.

Im part of a group that likes to recreate medieval and rennaissance lifestyles. This means we make alot of our garb, furniture, camp gear, ect. I personally love the woodworking and building aspect of it. I also have no tools or space of my own to do any of this...But Creators Hub does. They have helped me finish so many awesome projects so far, and I have a ton more. Everyones super nice, and helpful, its just a great place to let your creativity flow.
