We were passing through town and wanted to grab a quick breakfast. We found this place on Google and decided to drive 2 miles out of our way to try it. We both had the breakfast sandwich, mine with gluten free bread. My friend got a muffin as well. They were all soooo delicious! If we lived here we would eat at this place often.

Amazing food! Loved the veggie options. Homemade teas and alternative milks were fantastic. Take-out is only real option unless you catch a table outside. Will definitely be back!

Great little spot just off Old Town. One of the best sandwiches Ive ever had! They also offer delicious coffee, homemade pastries, and nourishing salads! Will be back soon!

The breakfast sandwich here is phenomenal! Loved the oatmeal cookie too. The only thing I didnt like was the coffee, which I found to be watery.

The food at Butterfly Cafe is top notch! You can tell each meal is made with intention and love. I recommend the breakfast burrito but you really can’t go wrong with any of their items. You can tell they really care about quality of ingredients and the health of their customers. Thank you!!

Friendly staff and great food good for regular, vegetarian, or vegan eaters (my favorite is the grilled mushroom sandwich). They also have a wide variety of beverages which will satisfy anyone’s needs and wants! I love the concept of taking a historical building and renovating it for continued use too.

Loveeeeeeeee their Focaccia bread. Their lattes are also very good. Definition worth stopping in for a breakfast snack and a hot drink.

The breakfast burrito is an absolute must have.

After months of watching my roommate devour sandwiches every morning and talk about the fact that hes going broke because he cant stop eating at Butterfly, I finally tried it.I now know what it means to love something so much, youre willing to sacrifice your most basic needs for it, if thats what it takes.Am I an addict? Wow! I was not expecting the flavor explosion I got from this roasted mushroom sandwich served with provolone cheese, sautéed onions, cashew pesto and herb aioli. Just a wonderfully savory sandwich with deeply developed flavors that are nicely layered, prolonging the enjoyment. The staff is friendly and the service is super fast. They do breakfast and lunch and they serve soup and other items as well. A must try!

Seriously, this place is such a gem! Got the mushroom sandwich and added turkey - so delicious! The portions are generous too, which is great. Watch out for that Dragon Latte though - it packs a punch!

This place is maybe 2 minutes walking from me so I eat there frequently. Their baked goods are seriously good - especially muffins & those rosemary rolls. If I had one complaint, it would be that I wish they varied their menu a bit more (only because I am sure any new additions would be equally as good). Highly recommend.

Such yummy baked goods. Their focaccia rolls and raspberry poppyseed muffins are seriously to die for. If I get a coffee I always get a brown sugar latte with oat milk and it is always good. My husband and I did venture out and try the spicey cashew milk they make in house and I’ll just say that is is a fun flavor worth trying out if you’re feeling adventurous but is truly spicy, like an extra spicey chai! I personally did not like it but it’s a fun option haha. If you haven’t tried this place and you’re looking to switch up your coffee place definitely give this place a shot!

I stopped on my way to work, I order breakfast and lunch. Loved their healthy options and that their service was quick. Food was delicious definitely returning.

The staff is so kind, everything is house made, they actually have alot of gluten free options which is amazing, and the coffee was delicious. Will be back for lunch tomorrow with my coworkers! :) thanks guys!

Stopped in for the first time because I heard good about the breakfast burritos. They are very fresh, everything was tasty! Only thing was, it was a sauna in there! We ate outside with the chilly 40° because inside was unbearable! I feel bad for anyone doing a shift during the winter months!

Has been the most consistently great lunch spot in Old Town Fort Collins. I love the effort they make on all of their food and drinks.

Lovely small and cozy! What a great use of this space. I tried a few things and all were great, especially the golf ball sized granola balls. Fabulous!

The coffee in this coffee shop is absolutely delicious, I ordered a cappuccino and the flavor of the coffee roasted beans were just perfect ( like drinking a coffee in Colombia), the milk was super creamy and just the right amount I ordered!I didnt try the food, but everything looked very clean and fresh!

So good!!!!The mushroom sandwich and golden milk smoothie are the best things, perfectly filling yet light.Staff is super lovely and kind and the patio is perfect on a sunny day. Do wish they had non plastic options for silverware or cups for when youre eating there, but now I just remember to bring my own.

Gotta say, looks are deceiving. The outside doesnt really say good coffee. Thats mostly just a personal preference, Im sure, but I my expectations going into it were low. As it turns out, they make some pretty good coffee, as well as fairly inexpensive breakfast and lunch dishes. Diet-friendly. Primarily outside seating.

A charming place in Old Town! Their food is delicious and fresh, and they have the tastiest almond milk for your lattes (made in house).The staff is friendly and the patio has a calm, private feel which is hard to come across off of College. Highly recommend for any time of day!

Amazing place to grab breakfast, lunch, or coffee, especially if youre in a hurry or in between shifts. The foccacia is stellar. Lovely patio to hang out on for a more relaxed meal that I look forward to frequenting again when covid is no longer an issue.

Lunch at the Butterfly Cafe is something of a tradition for us. I love the mushroom sandwich, and Alix loves the breakfast tacos. Always delicious food, prepared by some of the kindest people in Fort Collins.

Amazing taste! Disappointing value! I got the garden sandwich and requested sourdough. The sourdough size was so small! Willing to try it again but maybe skip the sourdough option.

Love the tiny historic building, the staff and most of all the food! The coffee is great, the baked goods are divine and the lunch offerings are all delicious, fresh and made from scratch! Dont expect to eat inside though, it truly is tiny. If the weather is nice, they have a small patio, otherwise its take and go. Wish they were open on the weekends for pastries & coffee while dog walking!

Fabulous comforting scratch made food and great coffee-for a twist try the Dragon Latte with the spiced cashew milk! The breakfast and lunch options are all winners! Great flavor, fresh ingredients, made to order. Even the soup is made from scratch daily. And the baked goods! Definitely worth treating yourself to any of the fresh in-house made muffins, scones, cookies etc.

Fantastic! Butterfly Cafe produces fantastic fair despite their cozy space. Try the Dragon Latte if you get a chance. This drink is thick, creamy, spicy, and delicious.

Ordered delivery through NoCo Nosh, first time trying this cafe. Food was phenomenal! Herbed Focaccia Roll was exactly what I needed, super delicious and filling, sooo yummy. First time trying an oat milk latte, it was awesome! I definitely recommend Butterfly Cafe. Support local, especially during these uncertain times!

Awesome smoothies!

I have been there dozens of times at this point, and have not found a menu item that isnt delicious. I eat vegan (no animal products) and when eating out, it can be difficult to find variety. There are several vegan items on the menu and with all the fresh whole foods they have hanging around this place, most menu items are adaptable to vegan if you ask.And pretty much everything is made in house from scratch. This place is legit.

There is a lot of thought and care put into the menu, food sourcing and preparation. Staff utilizes every inch of space to prepare delicious food and drinks (love the smoothies). Always great, friendly service! And some good tunes playing in the background.

Delicious menu, and surprisingly simple and easy to choose from despite catering to a ton of different food preferences (vegetarian, etc.). Staff is friendly and the buildings historic to boot. Definitely a must-go.

Amazing sandwich! I had the Turkey Avocado sandwich on gluten free bread. I wasnt expecting much because of the small size of the building, but this sandwich blew my mind! You can tell that this sandwich was created by a professional chef. Fresh and delicious! The GF version was enough to feed two people. Dont be fooled by the small size of the place, there is ample seating (especially on the outdoor patio), great food, and cheerful and professional service...this place is a gem!

The food is great! Its a small space with no AC... not a huge deal for most of the year, but today it was hot! Also, no decaf coffee :( Im excited to try the coffee when I can have caffeine again - based on the prior reviews it sounds like its a winner too.

I give this One star because the food is good! However, I’ve been here twice and both experiences similar. You can expect that rude hipster attitude without question! Never a smile, a “welcome” or a “thank you” have I experienced and observed. Is it really hard to be cool and kind? I hate that this is the new norm! If the Peps running this joint could deliver some customer service along side the coffee and food- this place would be a gem! It’s too bad!
