I tried three times this week to finish up my special order for tile. First gal said the computers were down and she would call me back as soon as they were working. Never called. I called back and left another message. No response. I called the direct line of a salesman I knew down there and left a detailed message. No response. Great selection in the store. But if you cant order it, what good is it? Three tries is enough for me.

I had a terrible salesman who couldnt be bothered to email me an estimate for flooring, which a person at a different location was able to give me in five minutes over the phone. I also tried calling this location to see if they had a sample in the store and was placed on hold for 15 minutes so I gave up and called another one.

Modifying my review based on outstanding service from Eric! I ended up going to the Fort Collins store. Terrible experience with installers, who started off great, but ended in a big THUD. A day job turned into 2 days. These kids, a guy named Travis and another kid his brother, their company supposedly called T & R Hardwoods, showed up, and they installed the laminate in the family room. They left carpet untucked in my master doorway, told me they need an installer to do the carpet tuck in the doorway. OK, not a big deal, they said, We will call Eric (sales guy) and he will get a carpet guy to fix this. T & R trying to get me to install hardwood stairs. Then I paid the kid an extra 180.00 for quarter round install, that he said wasnt included in what carpet exchange was paying him for. Didnt sound right to me. I asked him about the connection of a closet glide that he said he would put in before he left. Well the kid never put in the glide, a nice. Travis the installer was too busy to text me or call me back, because he was at Costco. My job, secondary to his Costco trip. Then Travis finally calls me back, complains that I interrupted his Costco trip, tells me We cannot put in the glide because it voids the warranty! REALLY???? So, what Eric tells me is they can glue the glide with epoxy and it doesnt void the warranty. Installers created way too much drama for me today. I hate it when a vendor tells me they are going to do something, then I find out later that I was fed a con job.

Great for carpet selection and installation. Weve had them do 2 installations for us. Highly recommend for carpet.Poor for floor installations and hardwood resurfacing. The end result was fine however their subcontractor was late, left numerous piles of mess in our yard and garage, baseboard nails in our carpet (very pleasant to step on), failed to follow through on commitments, and more. I would not recommend doing hardwood work through Carpet Exchange !EDIT: While the issues with the flooring subcontractor cant be reversed after the fact, Carpet Exchange was concerned about these issues and did provide some reparations to offset the hassle of having to address these issues and accomplishing the uncompleted commitments myself.

Weve been using Carpet Exchange for years now. Carpet, tile, laminate, hardwood, rugs, counter tops and more. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Competitive prices on materials and installation. Were very pleased that they accepted our re-flooring need at our summer mountain cabin in Red Feather Lakes, which is a 55 mile drive. Our project is scheduled for late July.

We had an amazing experience at Carpet Exchange! Our house looks brand new after having new carpet from Carpet Exchange installed on the entire first floor. After looking at two other competitors, we chose Carpet Exchange due to their customer service and price. Erik was one of the best sales people I have worked with in my adult life. He knew how to communicate effectively and do so in an unobtrusive way. His knowledge of the products and process were second to none. We will be back for our future flooring needs and will recommend to others.

Communication is a problem with Carpet Exchange. I Ordered tile on June 1st, a product from Surface Art, Inc in Seattle. I was told initially delivery would be within two weeks. After three weeks, there was no product and no call from Carpet Exchange. When I called them to ask about the order, I was told the tile would arrive on July 8th. I called at the end the fday on July 8th, there was no tile and again no call from Carpet Exchange. I was then told that the tile scheduled to arrive the following week. I followed up on July 15. My tile had still not arrived. I was told, again, that my order would arrive next week, at which point I cancelled the order. Not once in six weeks did anyone from Carpet Exchange call me to inform me of changes to the delivery schedule, I had to reach out to them to get information. One phone call from them to explain the supply problems is all that it would’ve taken to keep me happy. Very poor service customer service.

Great service! Mark Salli went the extra mile to make sure we got our tile in time so we could complete the project on schedule. Later after we had contractor problems with the project Mark continued to use his expertise to get additional tile that we needed to be replace. The difficulties we experienced with the project had no relation to Carpert Exchange.

I would like to change my review as things were made right my truck was damaged on March 8th when picking up carpet and it has been a very confusing month, lack of communication made me feel I was being blown off at times but I did recieve full payment for the damages to the truck beside that good carpet came on time everything else was just very stressfull

We purchased our carpet appx 7 years ago with a good experience. Our carpet needed to be stretched and so, not sure who to use, I called Carpet Exchange for contractor names.Laura informed me it was included with the warranty at no charge. Wow, I was surprised. Carpet Exchange sent a man, Marvin, to do the work. He was marvelous. Friendly and very thorough. Im pleased!!!

I started working here 6/11/20 and was given a very busy schedule also knowing that the worker training me will be leaving. I was told I did not need to come into work on Saturday for 3hrs by two employees if I felt it was unnecessary. And to show up to WORK and be fired for missing a day that wasn’t necessary baffles me. I am very angry with this company. They are not understanding and don’t care for others wellbeing. I am a black and Mexican 19 yr old man who was trying to start a new section of my life. I am hardworking and don’t understand why a company would let me go after 1 slip up.Added note: 10:13am - The workers there are all fake, they try to portray a family environment when really there is a lot of anger a disagreement in the work place. Before being let go I thought I was going to be fired just because. I am just completely lost and confused a company can not be understanding when they are consistently messing up shipments and orders.

I just got a call threatening my son with attorneys for “slander”. I was very nice to the caller explaining that NO ONE can tell ANYONE how they should feel based on treatment. Any company with Social Media puts themselves out there for people’s opinions. Now I feel like the “Owner” is being a bully trying to scare a young adult that may not know it his right to voice his opinion based on how he viewed his treatment. I’m sorry you feel he wasn’t treated unfairly just like I’m sorry my son felt HE was treated unfairly. Trying to threaten someone is not how things are handled and now I can see why my son was upset with his treatment. I’m also glad my son got a new phone number this weekend so that he wasn’t harassed.Good day!

Things could not have gone more smoothly. I was worried about doing my whole house at once, but they gave me tips on where to move large appliances and how to handle removing baseboards. We were happy about the entire experience. The salesman Jim was helpful and wasnt pushy. The install went well and they were professional. The only irritation was that we had asked for the stairs fully carpeted. The salesman neglected to include stringers which we didnt find out till the day of the install. It was $60 and we asked that they simply add it in since we didnt ask for any other discounts. Instead they ignored calls and emails. It soured the entire experience. Im not an expert on carpet terms like stringers... But when we ask for the stairs to be completely covered, then Id think that that should be included. So be sure they include everything in your quote, or you might get a bad surprise. And they will simply stop replying to your calls and emails.

The rep who came out to my home to do the estimate was on time, thorough, explained everything very well, and did not my waste time trying to oversell.When I went into the store to pick out the color of carpet, the manager (who just happened to be available and very willing to help me), was also thorough in answering my questions, helpful with picking out the color, and setting up the install date. Very friendly as well.The installation went almost perfect, though the installers did not call me before they simply showed up at the door. They did not speak English, which was frustrating to me due to lack of communication with them about threshold pieces, my having to leave for two hours, etc. Although I was prepared to touch up paint on walls and baseboard after carpet installation, some of the marks are pretty ridiculous. The door frame (front door) was knicked up from the bottom to about 4 feet up. Ditto on an outside corner in one bedroom. I can understand (and anticipated) marks up to maybe one foot, but 3 or 4 feet above the floor?The installers did a great job installing, seams are very well done, and they cleaned up scraps, etc. thoroughly before leaving.

I was excited to work with Carpet Exchange and avoid subcontractors. Unfortunately that was not the case, and as a result we had WD-40, mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, Goof-Off, Goo-Gone and numerous other chemicals applied to our floor to clean up the subcontractors mess. The Carpet Exchange had never worked with the subcontractors in the past, and as a result our floor suffered greatly. Additionally, I had to manage a temp. worker who was hired by Carpet Exchange through Home Adviser to clean the glue that was left behind after the install since they were not present to manage them their selves. However, The Carpet Exchange did hear about our issues and were kind enough to send out their finishing team to work with us, but the team ended up being a no-show and as a result it appears that I will have to finish the project myself. I would imagine that for over $10,000, they would have been more involved with the installation process.

Jim Kanka was a pleasure to work with and submitted the lowest quote by line item so we were able to do some of the work to save money. He did not pressure us to buy, but was extremely helpful and welcoming when we had questions.Keven Mortenson did a great job installing our laminated floor and gave us some good advice on wear, tear and maintenance on our new investment.I would definitely recommend carpet exchange for all flooring needs.

We have had a horrible experience! They have been continuously rude, inaccurate, and possibly even deceptive. On this our third installation of a carpet in an upstairs bedroom to finalize the up stairs has been thoroughly and rudely mishandled. First, we were put on a week and half delay. Then they not only sent the wrong carpet, but also called the independent installer, a quiet man, to berate him. From the conversation I overheard him say, they were changing his schedule around on him at the last minute, again, not caring how it effected him. When we asked what had happened, the assistant manager was incredibly dismissive to us saying he some how couldnt call us again until 2 days later to check what he already had or did not have in stock. After that they informed us that there had been a mistake in ordering the carpet and that it would take several weeks to correct. Please keep in mind weve already moved things out of that room, which happens to be my bed room. I have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for over a week now. Today, when they promised to have the carpet in, they not only did not install it, but did not call us. We had to call them to learn they had made the mistake, the same mistake, a second time. So now we are looking at having waited nearly three weeks from the original installation date. I have to return cross country for work, meaning the rest of my family will have to move my things back into the room in order to use it as a guest room. We have been offered no remediation for this. Further more, I have called another vender in to see if we can take our business elsewhere. According to him, the exact carpet we have been trying to get to match the rest has actually been discontinued. So now we suspect that Carpet Exchange either is so unaware of existing inventory to have order a carpet no longer in production, or that they have been lying to us for the past two weeks and are just hoping we dont notice. Either way, I recommend you go with a different vender- we have been disrespected, disregarded, inconvenienced, and possibly deceived.

Terry was wonderful. She talked us through what’s the best carpet to buy for resale, what to do with our hard Ash floors, and where to put in luxury vinylplank.All of the subcontractors were excellent. We especially loved the hard floor contractors and the carpet installers. They did good work, were on time and were so very friendly.The one thing my husband and I don’t like is that payment is made in advance of the job being done. This is unlike other services and goods we’ve purchased and made us feel uncomfortable. But I believe it’s company policy.

Very rude staff. If someone does help you when you walk in the door, dont expect anyone but that person to assist you in anything, or even give you the time of day. Terrible customer service- will tell you that a product is in stock, but will take them weeks to get the in stock product to you. Terrible installation of hardwood floors. Installed hardwood floors in our TV room and the floor was buckled within a week. Carpet Exchange refused to take any accountability and insisted it was our fault. Terrible installation of carpet. The seams in the carpet are starting to come undone in the doorways. They are only 6 months old.Will never use them again...

I do not usually write reviews but if I do so there has to be a REAL STRONG reason. My experience with this store has been terrible. They simply forgot to place my order with the manufacturer. Three weeks later when I called to pick it up, they had no explanation. Zero customer service and accountability. It took another seven to eight days for them to get it all sorted. NEVER AGAIN doing business with this store

Just purchased a home. I have to replace the horrible floor, carpet and the kitchen tile. My makeover has been done in stages. I bought carpet made of nylon with a plastic backing. Having pets this carpet does not have the usual cloth backing. Now accidents will not be absorbed and will wait for me to clean it. I had the correct carpet sent and most excellent installers. Laying down my faux wood flooring proved to be a challenge as my floor is not even. Carpet Exchange Terry and the installer and the representative of Core-tec Plus came up with a solution. Now i wait till Wednesday for installation. I am so excited about this floor. It again is for those with pets as it is vinyl on top cork backing. It interlocks so no liquid will leak between boards. Any accidents will not be absorbed and will wait for me to clean. Again i received the right product. I have been very happy with all aspects of my dealings with carpet exchange.

First we were given a window of 8-10 for installation. We called at 9 to make them aware of the kenneled dog due to weather, we were told someone would be there by 10. Next my husband popped home around 1200 to check on the dog.....still NO sign of installers. My husband called and was told werent scheduled but we have someone picking your order and heading right over. Installer arrived more than an hour later and laughed at us. If negative stars were available thats what i would give.

My mom purchased carpet, pad and install from them with the promise that they would have it installed before her sister came to stay, 2 weeks later.Well....it was getting closer to the date so my mom finally called to make sure they were still coming, and they then said they could not install it on time after all. They didnt even bother to communicate that to her!She had been working hard to clear her living room and now her house is a messs so we are scrambling to find someone else to buy carpet from, who can install it quickly. We recently put granite countertops in our bathroom but just couldnt find backsplash we really liked. I was in Las Vegas and took a picture of some backsplash and Gwen found me the exact same stuff!! They go above and beyond! Awesome customer service!

Ordered Laminate flooring and they didnt have it in stock. The flooring showed up in a few days but they have been giving me the run around on the Threshold we ordered for that a week and a half and nobody can tell when it will be here. I asked for a refund and was told they cant give me my cash at the store, a return on my debit card, but can only do a return check from Corporate which will take 7-10 days. If they dont have it physically in stock go somewhere that does! Dont waste your time. Horrible service!

Not happy at all with their customer service. We purchased some flooring for our bathroom and the lady that helped me talked me into purchasing an expensive transitioning piece that ended up not even working for our space. When I called to return it she rudely told me they dont do returns on special orders and that my receipt indicated that as well. NO WHERE on my receipt does it say they dont do returns on special orders, or on any orders for that matter. She told me shed speak with the manager and call me back over a week ago and I have yet to hear from anyone. So $43 wasted on something I didnt need and cant even use. Never working with them again and will absolutely not recommend them to any friend or family member.

Update 4/9/18: The store manager has worked with us to help ease the pain of the various SNAFUs, which is much appreciated. I really do appreciate management that is proactive in resolving customer service issues. The challenge now lies in trying to train and empower staff to maintain adherence to a service level standard. In fairness, one of the employees, I believe her name was Kara, also stepped in and tried to help us out. I appreciate Karas good attitude and effort.After having worked in the service industry for 20+ years, I acknowledge the challenge of getting front-line employees to have great service. In the construction/finishes industry, there are always going to be mess-ups. That is just life. You have to counter-balance that reality with exceptional, blow your mind customer service. (i.e. Nordstrom). People like me dont remember mistakes when staff (not just management), is responsive and happy to help you out when they occur.Keep up the good work.Original review:Great selection of carpet and tile. Boy the service sure is bad. You walk in and stand there for 5 minutes while all five people behind the counter go to great lengths to avoid making eye contact with you. You finally work up the courage to call out to someone and ask for help. After you place your order, you will wait patiently for your tile to arrive, only to find out that the bullnose strips broke in transit. They will re order the broken pieces and a week later call you to let you know that it arrived. You rush to the store to pick up the bullnose which your tile installer has been waiting for, only to find that they re-ordered the backsplash tile and not the broken bullnose. Now you just have a big mess on your hands. Lord almighty I can’t figure out how one group of people can be so averse to customer service and make so many mistakes at the same time. It is a modern marvel.

They have a nice carpet selection but they werent exceptionally cheap, and the staff seemed unknowledgable and bureacractic. The most stressful part about getting my basement redone was working with carpet exchange!Even after I told them exactly what flooring I wanted, it took them close to two weeks to order it. Then it was difficult communicating with them on when to expect the installation to get done- even rough estimates such as two weeks from now versus six weeks. And they were a little shady about the cost and overanxious about getting paid. Send an invoice in the mail like every other company instead demanding a credit card payment over the phone.

Very disrespectful company. There workers were rude, disrespectful and cant get the job done right. We are having issues with our carpet they put down. They sent one guy that was on his phone the hole time and was very disrespectful to my family wand was there all day when it should of only taken maybe 4 hours to do 3 small rooms. They wont fix the pribelms that we are having. Will never go back or recommend them to anyone!
