We had a blast with Rocky Mountain Adventures doing a half day trip on the lower Cache La Poudre! The team did an outstanding job preparing us for what to expect and covering all aspects of safety. We brought our children ages 9 and 12. My 9 year old was freaking out a little after the safety overview but our guide, David, took him under his wing, made sure he felt secure, and ultimately he had the time of his life. All of the guides clearly have a passion for their job. They were constantly teaching while making it fun and safe. Special shout-out to our guides and trip leader Dylan, David, and Danny. We cannot wait to come back! We will do a full day trip when we come without the kids!Tips:Add the Farmer John wet suit package if going in May/June. Had an outstanding rafting trip with Rocky Mountain Adventures last weekend!Called in and bought the tickets on a whim on Friday afternoon, set to go out on the water Sunday afternoon, and we were lucky enough to get the last two seats!When we arrived, we checked in at the tent, outside at the rear, with Cam and did our paperwork (def do that first!), then rented the wetsuit package ($12 for wetsuit, booties, and windbreaker jacket). It was well worth the money and kept us extremely comfortable when splashed with the ~30° snowmelt water, even during an 86° day (although youll want to don the jacket and top half of the wetsuit after the bus ride; it was a bit warm in the sun and on the bus).Cam is the man. He was outstanding and extremely entertaining during the safety orientation, the ride up, and the ride down! He made all of the typically boring parts of the trip into an additional highlight! I was initially remorseful that he wasnt our guide in the raft, but we were lucky enough to have David, one of the co-owners, as our guide. David was appreciative to get out of the office, and his experience navigating the waters was immediately noticeable to me (this was my third time rafting, but first time in the Rockies). 8 of us in the raft, first time for 6, and everyone was all smiles and laughter! 😃 David gave us options along the way, and we always chose the option that would give the most enjoyment: rougher rapids and 360° spins!Having the Class 4 rapids at the end was a great touch because it makes you thirst for more, and feel like you can / want to take on something more exhilarating and challenging for the next go- around! For my fiances first time, Im glad we did the Class 3s and 4, but Id definitely like to bump it up, and would like to go with Rocky Mountain Adventures again!They do a military discount, on tickets, gear rentals, and merchandise purchases, just show your ID. They also give you discounts on future bookings (no double dipping discounts).Check them out, they have tons of reviews and high ratings for a reason!

We had the absolute best time with Kristen on our raft trip with Rocky Mountain Adventures. It was the first time for a couple of us and she made the experience so much fun! Our guide Dylan did a great job! This was our first time to go white water rafting. He guided us safely down the river, making sure we were always aware of what was coming up next. His commands were clear and easy to follow. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the river also. I would choose Rocky Mountain Adventures again!

My friends and I did their rafting adventure two days ago and we had the best time ever!!!!! Honestly one of the most fun parts of our Colorado trip! We are still laughing about it today. Our guide was CAM who was super funny and knowledgeable! He was so patient with us four girls who are a mess paddling and with directions! He also gave us recommendations for places to eat after. Their whole team was so energetic so bring energy with you to match when going there!

Just had an AMAZING time with these guides, Dylan and Danny! Very friendly and informative guides complete with some great rapids! Both guys also knew their way around town and pointed out a great place to eat and shop after our trip! Would definitely do again, hopefully I will!

My wife and I were able to be on the last paddle of the season with Payton and it was really something special. The water may have been low, but boy were our spirits high. Super fun guides, loved the safety briefing. Paytons been doing this a while and shows in a good way. Cost about the same as a visit to my therapist but way more fun.

My teens said it was simply the most fun they have had in years. If you are in the area this is a must for your to do list in Fort Collins. These guys are the best!! Today, we took our kids rafting for the first time and I had no idea what to expect. My wife had gone before but none of the rest of us had. First and foremost, the guides were AMAZING. The ride over and back were filled with laughs and a generally good time. I didt expect rafting and a show. The guides made the bus ride itself entertaining and enjoyable.We went in mid July and did the Lower Poudre River. It was a little tame for me and I was incredibly anxious about going in the first place... I admit my wife made me do it. :D There were Class 2 and 3 rapids. Our guide was Darien and he did an exceptional job. He was both entertaining and skilled. No one fell out of our boat and the only bumps were soft. it was fascinating to see just how little rafters do and how much the guide does. Follow instructions and you get a smooth ride... with some humorous shenanigans mixed in.Go with a sense of humor and a willingness to enjoy various jokes and good natured pranks from your guide. The bus driver did turn the tables on them at one point which was also amusing. Generally, everyone at RMA was excellent. We couldnt have asked for a better experience.In mid July we didnt need a wet suit or spray jacket, but DO BRING a change of clothes!!! I also highly recommend the booties.

Peyton was our guide for the day and our group had a really great time. This rental company offers very competitive pricing, 100% worth it. Make sure you bring some cash to tip your guides, they are awesome!

I attended Rocky Mountain Adventures Two-Day Fast Track Kayaking Class on August 14th and 15th with my two sons, and it was a fantastic experience. It was the second time I had taken the class, the first being last summer with my wife. Our lead instructor Zane was amazing-- he got both of my sons doing their roll within 10 minutes on the first day of class! That was super-cool, but the second day of the course is where the real fun begins, because thats when you leave the pond behind and actually get on the river. Our day two was a total blast, because when Zane saw that everyone in our group was doing quite well, he amped up the instruction level and took us farther and faster than this class typically goes. We were able to do two laps down the river (only did one the first time I took the class), and we learned lots of paddling and turning techniques, and even a few tricks! A great time was had by all. RMA really does a great job with these classes, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get into whitewater kayaking.

We had an amazing time today on the morning white water rafting guided trip! As a first timer, the crew was patient, explained all safety procedures efficiently, and worked very hard to entertain all 33 people for the duration of the trip! With numerous jokes, stories, and bits of historical information, we had an extraordinary time. Shout out to Erin, our group’s guide today, who made the trip one to remember! She was incredibly knowledgeable. Not only keeping all of us on the boat safe, but also entertained. As we went down the rapids, she pointed out various aspects of nature and history! She went out do her way to get to know all of those on her boat, making everyone feel comfortable and excited. Can’t wait to come back! 10/10 recommend to ANYONE!

Our group of 5 had a amazing adventure on the half day trip. The staff was very organized and worked together seamlessly. Everything was clean, safe and fun. We reserved the whole raft and we’re paired with Mary. She was fun, energetic and made the trip a definite family favorite memory. Our group was a novice group and a few folks had nerves but Mary made sure to keep it fun and relieve the anxiety. We will definitely be back for the full day trip.

My husband, 22-year-old daughter and I signed up for the lower Poudre rafting trip with class 1 class 2 and class 3 rapids. We highly recommend Rocky Mountain Adventures for your white water rafting experiences in Northern Colorado. The entire experience from check in, to safety training, to returning equipment was well organized and professionally managed. The staff members are knowledgeable and experienced in providing a great experience for all participants, and their great sense of humor made even the bus ride fun. Dylan was our Whitewater rafting guide. His expertise in selecting the best route through the rapids and calling out paddling instructions was memorable. He managed the raft with such impressive finesse and expertise. It made all of us look like we had been white water rafting for years! We will definitely continue to book our white water rafting trips with Rocky Mountain Adventures.

Was in town visiting family and went rafting for the very first time on the lower part of the river. We had a great time! Our guide Erin was FANTASTIC! She was so enthusiastic, outgoing and fun! My 11 year old son was a little nervous and Erin was so encouraging to him he was really able to enjoy himself. We will definitely be doing this again with RMA when we return to Colorado!

I took my husband and kids on their first rafting experience and we were blown away. Not only were the guides fun but I felt like everything was well run and safe. Our guide, Payton, was extremely professional and answered all of my kids questions with respect. I could not have asked for anything more for our experience and everyone is begging to go rafting again soon.

Raft guides are highly experienced and genuinely amazing people. Lauren and Dillon worked together to skillfully rescue my inflatable kayak that was pinned on rocks by the rivers unrelenting current. I am sincerely grateful for their help!!

My girlfriend and I booked this trip on whim three days before the trip and they got us right in. The comedy during the bus ride was a highlight. Our guide Vinnie makes his job look easy, highly recommend requesting him. Everything was straight forward and they don’t leave you with questions. All and all it was a fun safe trip and I will be going back!

We had a great time on the White Water Rafting trip with JE! It was my first time white water rafting and it was a great experience. I felt comfortable and safe and had a ton of fun! They provide everything you need if you didnt come prepared.

Pretty good time. The employees work hard to involve the customers, but it can be a bit too much and too campy. Otherwise nice folks. Great price. You might think a few hours in the morning are nothing, but you will be ready to stop when it is done. Lots of fun on the water, and tiring.

We had a great time rafting the Cache la Poudre river with our guide Lauren. We did the half day Class 2-3 trip. We called several times before booking to make sure we had all of the information to decide which experience to choose and each time the person answering the phone was knowledgeable and helpful. The day of the trip was organized and we felt very comfortable with the training and ability of our guide. We were there during high water and it was a fun ride! If we came back in lower water we would probably choose the full day and try some of the Class 4 Rapids. Overall a great experience and Lauren was an excellent guide!

Today I spent my 25th birthday on the Mishawaka lunch trip with guide Payton and it was AMAZING! So much fun! I had only been on very mild rafting trips before so I was nervous at first but felt totally safe because he definitely knew what he was doing. He also was hilarious and knowledgeable which made the experience even more fun. Definitely recommend this trip and plan to return next year in May or June when the water is higher.

We had a great time! Our guide, Evan, gave great instructions and was a lot of fun. We were told the best water/rapids are between May 15th and end of June. We were there the end of June and didnt rent wet suits, but definitely would recommend them if you visit earlier or get cold easily.

Raft rental was very over priced given product quality. Failed to assume responsible for equipment condition.Spent 10 minutes searching for employee to show me where the rental was after paying. After finding employee they pointed to the ground, where the rental was, and walked away.Component of rental package was missing. Lucky this was discovered by customer prior to departing.Overall poor rental experience.

We had Darien as our rafting guide today for the Road Less Traveled middle school group and he was amazing! He made it an amazing experience for all of us by constantly cracking jokes and chatting with our group. Definitely want to come back to Rocky Mountain Adventures and have Darien as our guide again.

I came out to Colorado from Washington for a solo trip to adventure a bit somewhere else and decided to go outside my comfort zone by quite a bit and signed up to go rafting with RMA. I was excited mostly but lowkey nervous about going by myself and also just the general anxiety that can come from doing something that has inherent risk for the first time. I CANNOT express how much fun I had! I ended up being the only odd ball of a group of people moving into CU this past weekend but my guide Lauren (LT) made me feel super comfortable and gave clear direction in the raft. LT was really chill and made good conversation and genuinely seemed like she cared about us having a good time and keeping us safe. I am SO glad I did this and will absolutely do it again with RMA next time I come out!

I had the pleasure of being on the boat with Riley as her first customer trip down the lower section. She was incredible and made sure everyone had a great time. I will absolutely book another trip and request Riley as a guide.

What a wonderful day we had on the Poudre with Rocky Mountain Adventures today. Our guide Mary was fantastic. She was very experienced and knowledgeable. Safety was stressed. The whole team at RMA were great! I would recommend this trip to vacationers and Coloradans alike. Thanks RMA . Ill be back!

Great time rafting and process went smooth. Did the upper Mishwaka section, fun class 3 and 4 rapids. Payton was a great guide.

My husband and I had such a great experience for my first time rafting. The checkin process was easy followed by a short 30 minute drive to the Pourde River. Our guide Payton was super informative, made us feel safe & was hilarious. Thanks for an awesome day we wont forget!
