What a cool eco friendly business. My first time here. We lost quite a few large tree limbs over the winter from heavy snow, just returned from AZ for the summer, and today was the day to clean up and dispose. Loaded up the utility trailer and headed for Hageman. The operation is set up like a small landfill. Very well organized, very professional, very well maintained, very consumer friendly whether youre dumping recyclable tree, shrub or mowed grass clippings; or buying their recycled products like mulch or firewood. The place was lined up with vehicles but the line moves fast. The employee manning the drive up window was helpful and friendly. I was in and out in about five minutes.

These guys were great! We got the perfect mix of dirt for our veggie garden. They even did a great job delivering it. The driveway is in an alley and they were able to dump it perfectly on the small driveway and keep it on there without spilling any into the garden area. Highly recommend them and they were super knowledgeable to help us get the right dirt. Thanks!

I use them all of the time for pickup loads of compost & rock. I also drop off branches several time a year. Well run operation! Staff (even loader operators) are very friendly and helpful!

Great place to recycle yard waste, then get compost later! Can you imagine trying to compost that stuff yourself? Glad they are here. Staff friendly and quick, once you get through the line.

I ordered a 20 yard delivery of shredded cedar. Apparently the bed of the loader or the truck had residual 1-1/2 granite in the bed. Ive spent about 3 hours picking crushed stone out of the mulch after spreading it. Pics are just a couple of many piles that were picked out of the load.I also ordered two 15 yd deliveries of topsoil compost mix. It was loaded with weed and other seeds. I had about a dozen or more Turnips or Sugar Beets among large quantities of weeds growing in my newly seeded native grass area.

Its so nice to have this place to dump my branches, green trash, grass clippings and more. The price to dump is very reasonable when I fill my truck with stuff. We also buy our much, breeze, and gravel from them. The price is reasonable and they dump in where we ask. Plus the ladies in the office are super nice.

Great selection and they delivered my crushed rock to the exact spot I requested. Definitely recommended!

This is a great place to get rid of your yard waste, that is so much cheaper than the landfill. Also a lot more convenient for those of us who live on the north side of Fort Collins, since it is on West Prospect.

Do not take your yard waste to the dump, bring it here where it will get recycled, completely! This is the place for bulk yard waste removal as well as bulk landscaping supplies. Its not family bonding unless you go to Hagemans to either drop off or pick up supplies for your weekend project. The people are very trusting, fair and helpful. And if you bring your furry friend, theres a dog biscuit in it for them too.

They only follow half of your instructions for dumping the material you paid them to deliver and the manager could not have cared less, not even a simple sorry.

They accept wood, pallets, branches and leaves. You can purchase aggregate and material for flower beds. Limited parking but sort of handicap accessible. Narrow door though.

Great place for recycling trees, branches and shrubs. It is nice knowing that all of it is going somewhere useful. We pack up our Outback and they only charge $5 per load. Everyone is friendly and even our little Tama makes out with a treat.

Visited for the first time today, twice. Had us in and out in 15 minutes each time with exactly what we wanted. Second time was 10 minutes before close 3rd of July. No complaints from anyone, just smiles and high-quality efficient service. Great first and superlative second impression. Will be returning regularly.

I have gotten tons & tons of rock & soils from Hagemans. They have a large selection of landscape materials. Great spot to drop of branches etc.Very friendly people. Love all of their big equipment. I wish they would letme drive it. Highly recommend these nice people.

I have always used these guys because they have had the best quality rock in the past. And prefer to give my business to them, however this last load of rock I’m very disappointed with and really upset.I ordered 5ton of riverrock, the 1-1/2-2” grey mix. And I would say half of it has been the smaller 3/4” mixed in. Then too add to it, it’s like half of this rock has been removed from a previous yard or something. I’ve not only found scrapes of old landscape fabric, I’m having to hand unload the last 1/3 of the pile in place because there is so much dirt/sand in with the rock. And the last thing I want is shovel fulls of dirt in my brand new rock areas of my yard.

Dont take your yard debris to the dump! You can recycle all organic matter from your yard right here, even cut-down trees, more easily and at half the cost of the landfill. They recycle it all and you couldnt find nicer, more helpful people. I have used them for many years and highly recommend them.

We had to get a small amount of crushed stone for a small job. We were able to buy it by the 5 gallon bucket at a very reasonable price. The lady that helped me was new and very pleasant. Thank you!

HIGH SALT CONTENT YARD PRIDE SOIL MIX KILLED MY PLANTSI ordered 5 cubic yards of the Yard Pride topsoil mix, which is supposed to come from topsoil mixed with the low salt content Yard Pride compost. I was trying to be an informed consumer and did my due diligence to speak with them before ordering to make sure that the product I was ordering did not contain any animal based compost (which is often has a high salt content). Ordering was easy and the lady I placed my order with was very nice. Delivery was also good. I am giving a 1-star review because the quality of the product is not consistent with what they advertised.I had a very low germination rate (maybe 10%) of seeds that I planted in the raised garden beds that I filled with this soil mix (it is advertised as ready for plants to be planted directly into). I also lost 10 raspberry transplants that I planted into this soil. Why?Well, I had a soil test completed by the CSU soil laboratory. The results came back and indicated that the EC (which indicates salinity) of this soil mix is 8.7!! This is extremely HIGH! Just as a reference, soils with an EC value of 4 are considered saline. So, its a safe conclusion that the high salt content, which has a negative effect on plant growth and health, of this soil mix killed and/or prevented my plants from germinating.

Hageman Earth Cycle is awesome. Get rid of branches, yard waste, last years Christmas tree, pick up some compost, sand, or mulch. Friendly, convenient, good prices. We are so lucky to have this place in our community!

The people there, (especially the window women) are very friendly and helpful. What I like most is they are very efficient and even on a busy day they get the people through in a timely manner. The yard crew do their best to keep the dust down and make it easy to dump. All around good company and great employees!

Great business model...charge you to drop your tree branches there, then shred them and sell them as mulch. Makes money coming and going. Either way...much cheaper than the landfill and yard waste gets reused.

Ordered some river rock to be delivered over the phone. Was quick and easy, rock was delivered on time as per the instructions I relayed over the phone. Good pricing. Love when things are this simple. Would use them again.

Ordered a truck full of the Yard Pride mix as I was redoing my garden there website advertises that this product is ready to plant in. This couldnt be further from the truth the soil is loamy and full of clay I tried to put some down in my yard with some grass seed to repair some winter kill and after getting it wet it has turned into solid rock. Now Im stuck with a truck full of dirt in my backyard that will probably cost me another $1,000 dollars to amend to actually make this soil usable. I suppose this is what I get for ordering over the phone without actually seeing the product before hand need less to say this is the last time I will go through Hagemans.

Staff can be rude. Especially Lady who works early mornings. She definitely needs more coffee before working with the public...

Weve been using Hageman Earth Cycle for ten years and love them. Very friendly staff. Mulch products are fantastic - we use the shredded cedar for our beds and playground mulch for the playground. Great people!

The best prices in Northern Colorado. The delivery driver was kind and he unloaded the truck where I asked him, despite it being an unconventional place. The compost is really great quality. My only annoyance is the debris, lots of wood stakes, plywood, and plastic.

Very nice people here. Have never had a bad incounter with them. Even the ground crews that are in most places annoyed to see a civilian, waved and smiled. The only down side is the exit. If you try to leave their during the week and after 1500 your gonna sit their a wile. But thats not their fault.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. The soils was advertised as vegetable ready and after reading the reviews we were optimistic. After receiving the soil we realized we got ripped off. The soil was not garden ready. It was very clay loamy with very little compost added ,if any at all. Its going to cost us more to amend the soil than what we paid for it.

I ordered wood chips for my new garden. They arrived smelling weird although I thought nothing of it. Within days of applying the mulch most of the garden died off, killing hundreds of dollars worth of new plants and nearly killing a 40 year old crabapple tree. After we finally checked the pH of the mulch we realized it was pH of 4, it had soured due to improper storage. This was killing the plants. I notified them of the issue, eventually Roger returned my phone call and indicated that he would look into it. Ultimately I never heard back from them, there was not even an apology, let alone reimbursement for stignificant plant mortality. I waited two months after our communication to see if Hageman Earth Cycle would offer any solutions. Instead Ive realized they will sell you products but not do anything after they cash your check to stand by their products. I will never again work with Hageman Earth Cycle because their mulch was TOXIC TO OUR GARDEN. This was a result of both storing it improperly and not their inability to test the pH of the mulch after a long wet spring. Im certain they continued selling it after I notified them of this as well.

BOOOOOoooo! No thank you Hageman. I went into the main office asked to speak with someone about non profit the girl with the nose ring and other facial jewelry snarled that she could help me. I asked if Hagemans would be interested in donating 3 buckets of sand and 3 buckets of pea gravel to a local non profit. Yet again in her most pleasant voice stated the buckets were 3.50 each. I simply walked out at that point, there was no communicating with the front desk. Hagemans is NOT the place to go for any local community non profit donations! RUDE!

The products are fantastic! Unfortunately they cant deliver within a delivery window, or anywhere close to it. You end up calling after an hour past your time because theyre not considerate enough to give a heads up, and they then act like youre the problem, making up some different excuse each time. They are batting 0 for 4 currently, and dont even bother to apologize. Very rude.

We went there the other day with a huge load of branches from some trees we had cut down. The first reaction from the gal in the drive up window was oh boy, and yeah she said it in a very disgruntled way. Then she said in a very put out, and begrudgingly way that she would have to come out & measure our car hauler load. She measured and told us with that airy load she would only charge us $65 which was $20 more than the loads we usually bring in. Well okay, but we felt really ripped off, so with our next load we went to City of Loveland Recycle for exactly 1/2 of the price. We thought we had to be a Loveland resident to use their services. So to all of you recyclers who want a cheaper alternative to Haglemans....Think Loveland!
