Called on a Friday afternoon and was given a spot first thing on Monday morning. My Chevy Cobalt had a check engine light and other break issues. McCormick gave me an extremely detailed list with photos of all issues and gave me a quote in a timely manner. After a detailed discussion with Rich we decided that the repairs were not worth it given my cars current value. Overall very fast and professional expirence. Highly recommended.

When I dropped my car off at 8 am for an oil change they told me it would be ready by 5 pm. I was stunned that an oil change would take that long and especially since my appointed time to come in was at 8 am. After expressing my displeasure and being told that they tried to do work spread out through the day to keep the service dept flowing smoothly, I prepared to leave but before I did the service agent very kindly said that he would try and have my vehicle ready earlier than that and it was ready by 10:30. I was very pleased that he tried hard to get my vehicle out in a more timely manner and feel that next time I come here, and I will as I do trust their work and feel that they are honest and knowledgeable, I will be definite about the time frame I would like honored.

I had to get my car worked on because a wheel was having issues and I went to McCormick per a friends recommendation. The staff there were SO helpful and kind, they carefully explained to me what the problem was (without making me feel like a dummy), and let me use their shuttle multiple times without charge. I will definitely be going back.

They were very friendly and my car sounds better than ever!! VERY professional and they made sure it was a quality job before they gave it back. I don’t trust many mechanics but i trust these guys!!

HUGE shout out to the team here! I was stranded in Denver last night because my car would not start! I had initially thought it was a problem with the starter, but no. These guys found the issue right away the next day when I got it towed there and did a full inspection on my car as well. They explained everything to me so I was able to understand the issue.Steve was super helpful and professional. Dane was the guy that did our repair. Mind you, this only took 2hours for them to get done! Super fast, super affordable, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR ANY MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS. I will be coming back AGAIN!!!

I am new to Fort Collins and had a coupon to use at McCormick. My partner’s car had a strong burning smell when the AC was on and we were concerned. They were able to squeeze us in the next day and we thought they’d need to keep it over the weekend. Turns out the cap on something hadn’t been screwed on correctly and oil was burning and the smell was coming in through the AC. They fixed it and cleaned the engine. They also suggested changing both the air and cabin filter. Since it was an easy fix it was ready that same afternoon! I really appreciated the friendliness and how thorough they were. You get a detailed email afterward that states everything they did and the status of everything else in your car with pictures, too. As two females, my partner and I felt comfortable and like we could really trust them. Mark at the front was fantastic and very friendly. They also have a service to drive you home and also pick you up which was honestly the biggest perk for me! A little more expensive than I’m used to, but overall great experience and will definitely use them again!

Steve did an amazing job. He kept me updated daily. This is the second time Ive used their service. They appear to be both comprehensive and objective on their reports. I decided to not use more than their inspection service as my car is essentially totalled. But they kept me very up to date on things.

They moved their schedule around to accommodate me on a semi-emergency issue with my truck when a local Ford shop wouldnt even diagnose it until mid-September. Up front with repair costs and unbelievably quick with the repair. Did a FREE 30 point inspection on my vehicle, sharing the results with me (with pictures), so I could make informed decisions, if needed, for future repairs. Very pleasant experience. I’m fairly new to town so logically I checked reviews to see who had the best reviews for a brake job. Mark was a pleasure to work with. Very pleasant and great communicator. Their estimate was 20% higher than another one I got but I hence the 4 star review but I felt more comfortable knowing they stand behind their work.

Needed a second opinion on a 2004 Honda Element and decided to give McCormick a try. I started with a phone call and Patti was great about helping me to get the brought in for an evaluation. The inspection was like nothing that I have received from any other car repair shop EVER! It was thoroughly detailed and backed up with photos highlighting the issues that were found. I received great communication and things were explained in a way that I could understand. The car was fixed exactly when it was promised with no surprises. I drove around for an hour after leaving the shop and I must say that my Element has not ridden this smoothly in over 10 years!From the get go, they treated me like a friend and not a customer. They made me feel good about what I put into my car and thanked me for allowing them to do the work. Brought my Jeep in yesterday with a coolant leak from my water pump, fully expecting to wait at least two or three days to get it worked on and inspected. Long story short, less than 24 hours later I have my Jeep back with a new water pump/belt/thermostat! A bit pricey, but between the professional and honest staff/mechanic interactions I had, the super quick turnaround time, and probably the best warranty Ive ever seen at a mechanics shop or dealership Im more than happy with the results. Will be back!

I brought in two vehicles for inspections and was confident in the accuracy of the results based on my own knowledge of the vehicles. Added to that confidence was knowledgeable staff and a detailed report w/photos that uses a rating scale to prioritize repairs. I can’t say enough good things about their staff. They are extremely friendly and went above and beyond in answering my questions.

Just WOWED!So no one EVER wants a car issue! But the when you have a GREAT mechanic, then its just not the end of the world! On Monday my boyfriends trucks fuel pump just went out in the middle of traffic, and seem like the biggest nightmare, but we found McCormicks auto service, and to make a light of everything we at least found a honest REAL mechanic that will give you AWESOME service, at a fair price! I have no experience because I sent the appointment through the website on Sunday for an appointment on Tuesday if there was an opening, got an auto-reply email confirmation right after... but never heard from an actual person until noon the Tuesday I needed it done asking if I was wanting an appointment. I went elsewhere. That didnt instill a whole lot of confidence in the place.

But Mark at the service desk called me to say he had investigated further and that 2/3 of the repairs were covered under warranty that I didn’t even realize I had. I found this place on Google maps. I was looking for a shop close to home. They also had great reviews, and I found out why. They are very nice, polite, and professional. They were very clear about the steps they take to perform my repair. They continued excellent communication as problems arose during the repair. They were able to correct the issue without additional parts and labor. I am very impressed with this place and their safety check as well. They brought some other issues to my attention and explained a recommended plan to address those issues. I would definitely highly recommend this team.

Hi got myself into a bad situation with my diesel truck and the owner Cory help me to get my truck towed to his shop for repairs. Upon arrival to the shop the receptionist Patty was very friendly and informative about the whole process. Throughout the entire process Patty was communicative and professional. To make things even better they got my truck finished in a timely matter! It was a pleasure doing business with these folks, I will do business with them again and highly recommend.

During a heat wave, it seemed to me that my 4Runner’s air conditioner wasn’t as cool as it should have been. With a coupon for air conditioner service, I instructed McCormick’s to recharge the AC. They called me and said their tests showed the AC was fine and didn’t need recharging! It’s about time someone ran an auto repair shop with that level of integrity. Now I’ll never take my vehicle anywhere else!

Everyone was really friendly and upfront about anything they were doing and the shuttle service was so helpful!

I used this shop based upon my fathers recommendation. I dropped my car off on a Monday and told them I needed an oil change and a power steering pump, and that I suspected the car was burning oil. The following Friday at close of business, I had a $100 oil change and $350 in diagnostics to tell me I needed a power steering pump. I was given no warning that the diagnostics would cost that much. Additionally, I left them with my name, phone number, and email address. However, they called my father with their recommendations instead of me. He told them they needed to check with me. They never called me or emailed, so I called them, and they said they couldnt cancel the order of the parts, so I had to have the work done because my father had approved it. When I started crying on the phone when I was given my total, the woman said, At least we saved you some money by not doing the work. I hesitate to even write this because everyone seems to love this place, but I was very disappointed in their professionalism and customer service.

Theyve asked me twice to write a review, so here goes. I dropped my car off at 7:40am for an oil change, tire rotation, and safety check. They said Id get a call by 5pm. I did not, so I called at 5. They said it was almost done then they need to wrap up paper work. I tell them Ill have to pick it up in the morning. They said Id get a call first thing in the morning to go over the safety check paperwork. The next morning, an hour after they open, I still havent gotten a call, so I call them. Again they say theyre wrapping up the paperwork and Ill get a call in 30 minutes. An hour goes by, no call. Again I call and she says she just got the paper work back, and went over everything. Apparently I needed a new cabin filter. I would have had them do it while they were working on my car if they had just called me... Maybe theyre taking more appointments than they can handle. Thats a lot of time without my car just for an oil change. The previous time I had an oil change there, it did take all day but they at least communicated much better (calls, texts, and a link to view the safety inspection) and I was able to pick my car up at 5pm. Still giving a 3 star because they were friendly and seemingly took car of my car, and helped me understand why the parking break started to malfunction as soon as I left. Im just not sure if that makes up for communication issues.

Initially I selected this shop just because they were close to my house and suggested by AAA, now I dont think Ill ever go anywhere else. Theyve made me feel welcomed and confident everytime Ive spoken to them. The front desk staff are incredibly knowledgeable and willing to explain maintenance priorities. Ive had a clear estimate on every visit and theyve been understanding about letting me choose what I want to or can afford to fix. Theyve had no trouble with my Nissan or Subaru either. If there were six stars, theyd deserve them.

I had the most helpful experience at McCormick Auto! My battery died and I had my car towed to McCormicks, they did diagnostics on my 1998 car and found a few other important safety issues to fix, that i had been keeping an eye on. They were so through and knowledgeable. They were great at communicating with me about the work needed, the cost and the time it would take. When one last issue showed up on the final test drive, they made sure I had a reliable loaner car to tide me over until my car was finished. My 4runner is in great shape now and I trust the work that was done on it, McCormick also has me covered for the next 3 years to 36000 miles if any of the new parts malfunction. I highly recommend going to McCormicks Auto for your next car service big or small, they will treat you well and care for your car as if it was their own. This gives me huge amounts of peace of mind as I know that the next time I take my car in, I can trust that I will only be charged for what is necessary to be done.As an added bonus, we can TEXT them to set up appointments and communicate with the staff, in addition to the normal calling / emailing of course. I had a sudden and unexpected, much needed repair on my Subaru. Heather was very polite and helpful when scheduling, as well as keeping me updated during every step. The repairs were done quickly; and their safety inspection was much appreciated. Great service, great price!

Heather was very professional and took the time to explain the process of working with the insurance company. She broke down the costs for me multiple times including and not including my deductible and made sure I understood what the exact issues with the vehicle were, why the insurance gave me what the gave me, and how they value parts differently. They have a nice warranty which is good if you have a newer vehicle and want to make sure you get good parts with protection. I will leave another review based on how the car drives and feels after a few hundred miles but I am very happy with the service thus far!

Great service on both our VW Passat and F150 truck. They do great work, are very responsive and great to work with!

I brought my 25 year old car in because my radiator was leaking. They gave me a quote to replace it, plus a bunch of other maintenance that was either behind or advisable for the mileage on the car. The quote, understandably, was higher than I wanted so we opted to trade the car in on a newer one. McCormick was very helpful during this entire process and patient with us as we decided what we wanted to do.When I went into the shop to tell them what we were going to do, they gave us all kinds of recommendation what make/models they do most maintenance on and thus which we should avoid if we didnt want to spend that money there. It was a very unselfish gesture on their part and very much appreciated. They also offered to do a pre-sale inspection on any cars we were thinking of buying as a courtesy. All in all, we spend relatively little money there but they were off the charts professional with us; a great experience all around.

I took my truck there to get the break system looked at as I was in town and needed it done to get on the road the next day. I told them what was going on with it and they had my car for 3 days running a diagnostic on it. Then they wanted to charge me almost $5,000 to do a job that should be $2,000 on the HIGH end. I had my car towed out of there, after a bit of a hassle from them, to, Cartech Automotive and he did the job for under $2,000 and had me on the road the next morning.

Our daughter recently damaged the underside of her car driving in snow. I called from out of state and spoke with Patti. She was great to work with and reassured me that they could take care of the car. They did, and had her back in the car without a bunch of extra charges. Patti communicated well with me and my daughter in Ft Collins and in the process made me want to return to their shop for future repairs. I’ve been looking for a reliable auto mechanic in Ft Collins and I think I’ve found one! Thank you for the peace of mind!!

I purchased a used 2017 Jeep Wrangler and brought it to this shop for a safety check, system flush, balance/rotate the tires and a front end alignment.I am a widow and have had quite a few bad experiences with auto shops and mechanics trying to take advantage of me. It seems like they always try to sell me more work than I actually need and most of the mechanics I have dealt with are curt, grumpy, and rude.This was not the case with McCormick Automotive Center. I had the most wonderful experience! Heather at the front desk was very cheerful, helpful, and thorough. When I popped in to pick up the jeep, all the guys behind the counter were the same way. And for the first time in my auto mechanic experience, this shop did not come back and tell me I needed a bunch more stuff that needed to be fixed (they could have, as it is a used jeep and I wouldnt have known any different). I received a full detailed safety report, the work that was completed along with photos.It is so nice to find an auto shop that I can trust and know that Ill be treated with respect and kindness.

Theyre extremely professional and very courteous. They even gave me a ride to a from my house. Truly A+ service and with a 5 year warranty on their work I know they do the type of job thats gonna last.

If I could, I would move to Fort Collins just for the incredible service at McCormick’s! Took car there for a pre-purchase inspection. I was two hours early for my appointment and explained that I lived 40 miles away and wondered if they could fit me in. They were busy and they moved stuff around to get the car in early! Mark and Patti were excellent to interact with. Patti explained the report and recommendations in detail, letting me know what my options were if I bought the vehicle and what to pay attention to for future maintenance. I was thoroughly impressed and pleased with everything about the shop! (Waiting area was quite pleasant - a nice touch.) They are definitely worth the drive and if you live in FOCO make them your preferred auto shop!

Wonderful service!! I came in for an oil change but they gave a courtesy inspection to let me know some issues they saw as well as pictures for details. No high pressure sales tactics! I came with my kids. The waiting area was very inviting. Im very glad I took a chance here, Ill certainly be back. The employees were great!! Thank you all!

Very friendly! Greeted me, offered me refreshments, and promptly at 8:10 the began the installation of mud flaps. Besides the installation, a complete check up was done, finding a possible smallleak, in a right rear differential, that would be checked during the next check up. Everyone was very polite and efficient, and my wife said she would bring her VW when it was needed.
