I am not inclined to complain easily and I will not berate staff who are presumably doing their best. However, the Walgreens’ online site states that “walk-ins are welcome” for flu vaccines. Additionally, there is a large poster displayed as you walk into the store reiterating the same words. Yet, upon our arrival to the pharmacy asking for the vaccines, my husband and I were informed that we needed to register for an appointment online. We are active seniors who are certainly capable of leaving, setting up an appointment, and returning another day, but that might not be the case for others. I just ask, why?since this might be yet another blip in the road causing someone not to receive their vaccine.

Workers are polite and doing the best they can but the line and wait times for the pharmacy/vaccinations is terrible. Only one person working the registers trying to do it all. If you want a quick experience, dont go here.

Until recently, I was a loyal customer and trusted Walgreens with my complex prescription needs and management for over 30 years; however, after moving and transferring to this pharmacy in Forest Lake, I encountered the pharmacist from hell.This youngish, female weekend pharmacist honestly seemed to thrive, and even relish in, the several hours (literally) of stress and confusion she caused by providing gross misinformation and not following a uniform set of rules and procedures that Walgreens pays her to uphold. She should not be working with patients, consumers, or any living and breathing organism for that matter, not without direct supervision and guidance anyways.Since theres no other Walgreens in the area, I immediately transferred to a different pharmacy, and will never again use or recommend this Walgreens to anybody. Yes, it really was THAT BAD!

Absolute worst walgreens pharmacy I have been to, and its not due to the staff. They are friendly and helpful, but seem overwhelmed. They are trying their hardest. Every single time I come to pick up a script Im in line no less than 20-30 minutes, and once waited and hour and 20 minutes. Its ridiculous and seems to be getting worse, not better.

Slowest Walgreens pharmacy in the nation! Frequently has 30-60 minute wait or line to pick up prescriptions. They close early, so plan accordingly.The actual Walgreens store has friendly staff and a decent selection for make-up and snacks. They frequently have Annas Swedish Ginger Thins at an incredible deal. (They go fabulous with some brie and raspberry jam!)

This Walgreens isnt actually worth five stars, probably like 3-4 but I had to give it five after reading review after review of entitled a-holes who think theyre the only person in the world getting prescriptions and that when youre constantly bothering the staff with questions easily available on the website, I think its understandable they might get a little testy.Theyve never been anything but courteous to me. Maybe because I understand working retail and know theyre actual human beings?So heres a 5er to balance out some of the bs.

The wait times in the pharmacy used to be great, quick, nice, service. Now theyre atrocious. Theyve been terrible for months now. Multiple times Ive waited in the drive through for 30-45 mins. I went into the store once to pickup a prescription because I thought it would be quicker. The wait was 30 mins still. Please hire more personnel so your existing personnel dont get burnt out, and you can keep whatever customers are left. Ive gone elsewhere unfortunately.

Never used the pharmacy, but I had to pick up a Fed Ex package there this morning. The clerk insisted that she couldnt find it and it wasnt there. Called FedEx and they called the store and confirmed that it WAS there. Really disappointed that they couldnt handle such a simple task. Future packages will be sent somewhere else.

Forget it! I called to talk to the pharmacy. First call was a 40 min wait, person that answered didn’t know the answer to my question, then put me on hold again all to get disconnected. Called back, waited 15 min to get disconnected AGAIN. Third time wasn’t a charm....waited 17 min, got thrown into another cue, rang several times, then got thrown into another hold. They need some help or something with their phone system!

Arriving home to find prescriptions missing, only filling some then making me wait for the rest so they can “fix” the ones they missed submitting, sending to wrong (old) insurance, entering in insurance info wrong so I’m denied, countless other issues. Long 20+ min wait every. single. time. Management sucks. I’m done.

Waited in line at drive thru for 1 hrs. Only reason I stay with Walgreens is to use drive thru pickup. I can see why you are not a UCARE preferred pharmacy. Last chance or I will change pharmacy. With COVID 19 prevalent in the community having a drive thru in the community should be a priority..

I couldn’t give this location zero stars so here’s 1 for being close to home. I drive to Cambridge whenever possible because this location has the most rude and clueless people you could imagine working in the pharmacy. They say they can’t give you a generic or liquid without getting a new rx from your doctor specifying that. Okay, but every other pharmacy just bends the rules to hook it up? Haha. Okay. Not to mention they take 1-2 full days to fill a script and you have to spend another 1.5-2 hours waiting in line. Where is corporate at? Just letting this place burn to the ground slowly? Forest Lake should NOT have an issue while the Cambridge, Blaine and Vandais Heights locations can all keep up just fine.

This is the worst pharmacy Ive ever used. There have been a number of times where Ive been mouthed off to by workers because I asked if the pharmacy was open. It doesnt matter if you walk in or go through the drive through, it takes an ETERNITY to get your prescription. Typically, even though the doctor sends it directly to the pharmacy, they will not fill the prescription till several hours later or even the next day. I grimace every time I need to have a prescription filled here. I once had a drug interaction question to ask the pharmacist so I called this location and waited on hold for more than 20 minutes to talk to the pharmacist. Finally I chatted with a pharmacist online while I was waiting and got my answer before they picked up the phone. I will be finding a better alternative.

After 10 years of headaches, nothing but problems, long wait times, employees not knowing how to correctly bill an insurance company using wrong codes and the horrendous wait times. I was mistreated so many times at this location treated like a drug addic!!! I would drop off a prescription tell them not to fill it for a couple days and they would run it through anyways. Insurance would deny it as it was too early to fill. They did this for the last five years. The last time I was there I was yelled at by the pharmacist In front of everyone for an insurance issue.

If my doctor sends over a 5mg and a 1mg prescription for the same med, its because I need them both. Its not up to your pharmacist to only fill the 5mg or just the 1mg pills. This has happened more than once and ultimately lead me to switch pharmacies.

I am sad to say that I keep giving Walgreens in Forest Lake an opportunity to improve but it keeps getting worse. I thought by using their App it would improve things however there are times that you still need to call. Tonight I was on hold for 35 minutes, never speaking to a live person, when I finally hung up (I hung up when I got to the the store and was at the counter). Outside there were 6 cars in line with hopes to get their prescriptions filled. I hope to call and speak to a manager soon. I tried speaking to a manager tonight however when he was paged by pharmacy he never responded. I surely do not blame the staff that was working tonight in the pharmacy, it’s a management issue. There are so many negative reviews posted online that stem back a long ways - one would think that would motivate change. I plan to speak to the store manager with hopes things can improve for the staff and customers. Walgreens is making a lot of money filling prescriptions. Likely after my conversation with management I will not be one to help Walgreens with their profits. . . * management if you’re reading this please give me a call, you’ve got my number on file.

I am on monthly prescriptions and have called them in for multiple months and they are never ready when the automated system says they will be. I sit in line for 20-30 min, 24- 48 hours later than they were supposed to be completed and still not ready. Ive heard its a bad month, we are 300 prescriptions behind. When I brought it up at the drive-thru window today she didnt acknowledge my concerns at all and could of cared less. The times we are in, this lack of care sucks.

Had an issue with my insurance company not wanting to cover my refill. The staff took the time to call my insurance Co and was able to resolve the issue. They then immediately filled my prescription and I was out the door in 20 minutes. The staff was very helpful. Thank you!Jeff Jansen. 6/11

HORRIBLY SLOW!!!!! Left the Dr. office and then grabbed lunch. Took about 45 min and then tried to pick up meds. They said it would be 15 to 20 min!! Then went to the counter 20 min later and was told it would be 30 min. Would give a negative 5 stars if possible. Go anywhere else!!

I want to say thank you for the staff last night! My husband got pretty grumpy when something I ordered had my married name on it when I was positive I had used my maiden name. Well, I was wrong and had used my married name on the items I was picking up! They looked around tirelessly for my maiden name and it was found! They were super friendly during all of it despite his grumpiness! Thank you! I would give 5 stars, but this store is ridiculously slow! I understand you want a good repour with your customers so you chat them up while checking out, but life stories do not need to be exchanged! It slows the process down A LOT and each time I have gone there, I have had to wait at least 10 minutes to check out (with 1 person in front of me) or for someone to come to the photo counter. I dont know if its a staffing issue or what, but judging from these reviews, something needs to be done...

Had a prescription that was unique, went to Target first and they did not have the prescription, but were kind enough to call Walgreens. Walgreens said they did in fact have the prescription and told Target to send us over. Handed the prescription to Walgreens, she said give us 30 minutes. Waited over an hour, which is fine they are busy.Finally tried to pickup the meds. They claimed they had no prescription, then when I said I was just hear, they said oh yeah we tried to call (nope), and we dont have it. We cant order it. Sorry. I said wait, told them about Target and the fact that they said they did an hour prior. They said no, that never happened.Wow. Corporate needs to fix this situation. Something is not working here.

This review is of their flu shot service ONLY. I dont shop here regularly.I made an appointment for my flu shot online for 12:00, they were able to get me in a few minutes early. The pharmacist who administered my shot was spectacular, Mildred was her name. Extremely friendly and gave me that shot with little to no pain. Literally the best shot Ive received to date.Very handy place to get your flu shot. Easy to make an appointment online, too.

They promise your prescription at a certain time and its never ready. Prescriptions that need to be filled that day due to aur way infections...still wait til one to two days later. WARNING TO ALL PEOPLE WHO USE THIS PHARMACY!!!! Count out ur pills before you step away from the counter!!! I was there at 11AM yesterday. I got 3 prescriptions filled. Drove an hour home and took a nap. Woke up and was putting my medication in my monthly organizer. I was shorted 68 pills from a 168 pill prescription. I called them right away. Was told that I would be called back in the morning. I was NOT, I called again and told them thats 11 days of pills missing. I was told I would be called back. I did FINALLY get a call and was told they wont do ANYTHING!! I have been on this medication for many many years. I have been shorted by them a couple here and there, but never called. I call because 68 pills are missing and was basically called a liar!! Supposedly the watched the video and could tell she counted them out. NEVER EVER leave the pharmacy without counting them. Im a 43 year old disabled cancer grandmother and now will be bed ridden and sick for 11 days. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. NOT ONLY DOES IT TAKE OVER AN HOUR TO GET UR MEDS, BUT NOW YOU DONT EVEN GET THE AMOUNT ORDERED BY UR DOCTOR!!

This pharmacy is so disappointing. You will wait forever to even talk to a human being. The drive-thru is a joke. My doctor had to call in my meds for strep and influenza multiple times for me when I was diagnosed, and we had to wait 36 hours for tamiflu for my newborn and 2 year old last fall because they either can’t get enough staff working there or they’re just disorganized. This was after I was notified they were ready and I waited in line over 45 mins with two miserable, screaming kiddos. It would be one thing if they ever apologize, but I’ve never once had someone say they were sorry about the wait or confusion. Do yourself a favor and send your scripts to Fairview in Chisago City, they are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Store manager and pharmacy manger can’t figure out how to properly run a pharmacy. Easy fix. One tech at each station. Enter prescription, full the prescription, pharmacist reviews and verifies the prescription, then one tech at the drive thru, one stationed at the front counter. Wish I could rate this place negative. They ALL are incompetent. Where do they find these people? Our order was placed immediately by our attending nurse and it took us 30 minutes just to get to Forest Lake. Your order will be filled in 45 minutes they said upon arrival..... 1 hour later in the drive through... they said, we need another 10-15 minutes, can you swing around the drive through again? Um no....We went to urgent care today and need the meds for my child, now. Finally got the medications filled, nope...missed 1, and had to park and walk in to get the second medication!!!! Nightmare.I think they need to start drug testing their staff. Does not say much for the City to have a pharmaceutical medical facility take care of its patrons this way, corperate or not...makes me want to bypass this City all together in the future.

Can u give a negative rating??? I was on hold for 45 minutes. Had time to drive from maplewood to location. Stand in line for 20 minutes where no one answered the phone. I was up to the desk and still no one had answered the phone. Just to be told that my prescriptions werent actually ready. The only acceptable thing about the entire pharmacy was the nice guy i talked to who had to apologize on there behalf. Definitely going to be the last time i use this pharmacy.

Like so many others here, if i could give them negative stars, I would. I always order my refills DAYS in advance and theyre NEVER done on time. I get prescriptions filled monthly and I cant remember the last time they were ready when I went to pick them up. The staff and pharmacists are always horrible. Theyre rude and completely incompetent, and make assumptions about what brands of prescriptions I should have based on what they think, rather than what the doctor has prescribed. So once I FINALLY receive my prescriptions I have to check to make sure theyre correct because about 50% of the time, theyre not. This place is a joke, and Ive had enough. Ill be transferring my prescriptions to ANYWHERE else. There needs to be a serious overhaul of the pharmacists and techs at this place.

Worst walgreens Ive ever been to. Very poor managment. Every time I come to pick up medication I have to wait in line twice because its not ready 2 hours after my appointment and they tell me they can have it ready in 20 but the line is 50 minutes long. Basically, every trip to the pharmacy is a 2 hour trip. If 0 stars was an option thats what I would give them. Hire more people to help in the pharmacy.

This pharmacy needs major help. I’ve stupidly continued to let my perscriptions go there and time and time again, I am let down every time. They never have prescription filled in a timely manner. You can wait hours or Days to pick it up and they won’t be filled. Then when you finally go there, they start filling it, they said it will be about 10 minutes to fill as you get shuffled to the back of the line and boom... half you day is taken up by this place. Judging by the other poor reviews management needs to pull it together.

I recently made and purchased a photo album from the same day pickup. I was delighted with the quality of the album! There were errors in the book, such at pictures being duplicated. The cashier was adamant about not opening the album, in order for the binding to dry. Both cashiers were not friendly, and order was not ready after I received the ready to pick up email. I would purchase here again, but very cautiously.

This is the worst Walgreens to refill prescriptions at. Last month I refilled a prescription and they said it would only be 20 minuets to refill but it took them over two hours. This month I refilled it just one day early which has never been an issue at any other Walgreens ever, and they made a huge fuss about it and LIED to me and said they could not refill it. I had to contact my doctor and she called Walgreens to confirm it was okay to refill and they still lied and said they couldn’t refill it, after I told them that they spoke with my doctor and she gave them the OK then they proceeded to refill it. Don’t get your meds filled here. Go to any other Walgreens but this one.

I have been feeling frustrated lately and am going to switch to a different pharmacy.The drive through is very slow. I can have 5 cars ahead of me and it takes 40 minutes to get through. Its like they are dropping off a prescription and waiting for it to be filled right then. Im not sure if that is what is really happening or not.The wait times are terrible. Should it really take 5 or 6 hours to get a prescription filled? That has happened a few times.Another time I requested a refill on a medication but it was due for the yearly prior authorization. They got the prior authorization but never filled it. I asked why it wasnt filled when the prior authorization was obtained and she had no explanation. Not even an I will look in to it. I had 2 pills left. I take it for nerve pain so obviously I didnt want to run out.Now 3 days ago I requested a refill on a medication that went to my old physician. I called Walgreens pharmacy and told them it needed to go to my primary physician. She said that she would send it to my primary physician. It was never done. I was going to pick it up today and it is from the wrong physician. I called them today and they have no record of my request to send it to a different physician. Again nothing about looking in to it.This tells me that this is just going to keep happening and they arent going to do anything about it. Its like they dont care.I DIDNT EVEN GET AN APOLOGY.How many other people are having the same thing happen to them?

Very inefficient at filling prescriptions. I waited an hour after prescription should have been ready. When they told me for the second time to drive back around into the drive thru, I did not have time to wait so I left. A half hour later they called to tell me it was ready. They had the script in the pharmacy for 4.5 hours before it was ready. Need more efficient staffing. Another time I wanted the typhoid vaccine and they almost gave me the flu vaccine. Then they said they would order the right one and call me but they never did even with multiple calls to them. I went somewhere else.

I have been here a couple times and each times it is TERRIBLE customer service. Not even the associates but the managers/leads. I waited in line for over 10 minutes when all the manager had to do was put in a number because the computer had locked. Which he knew because she told him and he said he would come. App tells you its ready but they never have it done, drop off in person they say 20 minutes which is already long but be prepared to wait over an hour to remind them and another hour to fill.... This pharmacy will notify me that prescriptions are filled and I will arrive and they say they are not ready. This of course is after waiting a minimum of 20 minutes in the drive thru. Ive waited over an hour with 3 cars ahead of me. Dont bother going inside either because that will take just as long. They recently changed my address back to a previous address that was years old and when I went to verify it wasnt correct. The staff is always super slow packaging and running payments. Someone needs to fire the management and start from scratch! Unbelievably slow, no communication, upteen excuses for why prescriptions are not ready. I’ve waited four days for a prescription I had run out of because I was told their ordering system was down for a week and a half. Really? I would hate to have a heart problem or cancer. I have been disappointed over and over again. Right now have been sitting in the drive thru for 30 minutes. When I pulled up I was the third car. Guess what? I am still the third car.

Worse pharmacy ever! If I could give a negative review I would as theyve earned it. Everytime I go there I receive a notification my rx is completed. But once I get to the pharmacy they start filling it. There is no drop off line so be prepared to wait in line 15min to drop off the rx, 40min to fill it and another 15min in line to pay for it. This place is ridiculously inefficient.

Finally had enough and switched pharmacies this weekend. I know the crew when I worked there has completely changed and there are really nice people working in that pharmacy but its so slow that I swear half the time they must be all on break. I went in this Friday night at 8:40 pm to fill a prescription that I figured I would pick up the next day. I was already by Walgreens and figured I would stop in and ask for a refill. That was a horrible idea.I walked in and there was a lady in front of me being helped. Nobody at the drive thru. They were going back and forth on something with one of her fills. It had been about 8-10 minutes at this point and a car pulls up in the drive thru. They then have to go on the floor and fill this prescription and paged somebody to do this. Then the pharmacy goes to help the drive thru well I still stand in line. I figured well that sucks but I am next. About another 7 minutes pass and they get the drive thru done. In the meantime the lady needing a fill is still standing at the counter. The prescription finally gets brought up and they check it and get the labels for it. At this point its been another 10 minutes. As they are ringing her up and talking to her another car pulls up in the drive thru. They finally complete the transaction and the lady slowly grabs her stuff. I look at my watch and its now 9:15pm and I have been in the exact same spot in the area you are suppose to line up to be helped. I havent moved or anything. I have had workers on the floor acknowledge me standing there. They go to the drive thru and help that person instead of helping me next. I had enough and left and had my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy the next day.The wait times to just talk to a pharmacy staff to see if your prescription is ready or if you just want to fill one is extremely poor. If you want to run a skeleton crew then shut down the drive thru. Every time I have gone in to get a prescription or get a refill going I have ended up spending at least 20 minutes standing in line before getting helped. Doesnt matter the time of the day either. Its extremely poor and back when I worked for Walgreens this would never have been accepted.I want to say all positive stuff but its been a year of dealing with this. Its just not acceptable. The store is always clean and organized though and the staff is friendly. Its just the wait to talk to somebody in the pharmacy is way to long and not acceptable. I can understand talking to somebody and they say it will be a hour if not longer to fill. I understand that just not having to wait 20+ minutes to talk to somebody to find this out.

Worst pharmacy ever! They cant seem to figure out how to fix their website for times theyre open and laugh about it when its brought up. Multiple times theyve cancelled out my prescription after they sent it to a wrong place or just didnt fill it. My last straw was when I left the emergency room and needed an emergency perscription. I was unable to get it cause they marked it filled. When it wasnt . I had to go back to the ER for it and my medical wouldnt cover the second perscription. Theyve also called and said a prescription was ready and when I get there they hadent even started on it. Then they get defensive and an attitude for their mistake. Needs new management or staff. I highly recommend going somewhere else for pharmaceutical needs.

One star is a total gift!When. pX is sent from Doctors office And they still havent filled it 2.5 hours later?Really!On hold for over 40 minutesFinally hung up and drove there .pX was filled immediately, but no reason given for why!Really? People get meds because they need it.Never ever go there again!

This Walgreens is one of my favorites. It’s alwaye very clean and carries products that most of the other Walgreens don’t - such as the makeup brand Nyx.The older lady that works at the makeup counter/perfume case, is the sweetest ever and she always makes my day when I go in there. She is so helpful and always willing to help, even if she doesn’t know the answer to a specific question! I look forward to visiting that section when she is working just for that reason. :)The only downside that I find with Walgreens, not just this one in particular, but the online order pickup process. Compared to other stores, it doesn’t go very smooth. They don’t keep you updated on when the product is supposed to be there so it’s kind of intransit then somewherethattheydontknowof and then it arrives at the store. I am one of those people that keep an eye on my packages, due to having some lost in transit before. It is also a little bit concerning that both times that I have picked up an order, the staff didn’t ID me for it.

Worst pharmacy. They never fill perscriptions by the time they say they will. They dont send pre authorization forms unless you call them multiple times. They tell you, you dont need preauthorization forms when you do. Its always one thing after another. Stuck a week without medication two months in a row because they dont care about customers. Please do not fill perscriptions here.

I mean, Ive never had any trouble here. I went in, snagged some Vicks vapor rub, then left. I cant speak for the prescriptions, but the service was fine.
