I have been coming here before it was advanced auto. Yesterday was the 1st time I asked somebody for help and they cannot understand a word I was saying because they do not speak English.

Very helpful employees. Everyone does their best job at helping you fix whatever car problems you are having.I especially like Frank. He is old-school and very nice and very helpful!

Excellent Service

I really dont like posting one star reviews on any business/franchise, whether a small business or a corporation, but today they finally put the last nail in the coffin. I have bought A LOT of vehicle related parts and maintenance items in the last three years. Advanced Auto Parts is my #1 choice when it comes to buying these things and thats not going to change. However, this particular Advanced Auto Parts has consistently been a complete disappointment. Ive lived in Altamonte Springs for about 20 years and I have lived within a few minutes drive from this location for all of that time. I dont know any of their employees names and I only know of one employee that has worked there for as long as I can remember, so Id assume he is the manager. If you shop here a lot then youll know who Im talking about... This is an honest and truthful review. They are not friendly, theyve never been helpful and there can be 3-4 employees in the back area while there are 5-6 customers in the store, but typically only ONE person is actively helping the customers in the store. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they are pulling online orders, but Ive placed quite a lot of those here. I know to give this location several hours or even wait till the next day to go pick it up, only to arrive disappointed, again. I have had times when I end up waiting up to 20 minutes for somebody to acknowledge Im even there, but then I spend another 10-20 minutes waiting while they start pulling my online order. I know the location by the Altamonte Mall is their hub, so I go 10 minutes out of my way to avoid them at all costs, but sometimes you have to go with whats closest and can be had now if youre in the middle of a vehicle repair that needs to be done that day. I bought a radiator, all my coolant and heater hoses, along with some other parts/supplies about a week ago. Today, after stopping by the Altamonte Mall location to drop off coolant, I was told their tank was full and was sent to this location. Had 4 coolant jugs, wiped down clean, spill proof containers and they were not even all full. Carried all four in two per hand and was promptly told they do not take old coolant at their location and that I should go to the location by the mall. Seriously. I wanted to just leave them on the counter and walk out, they didnt even try to offer to help cary two or let me use a cart. I was no longer important to them. God bless the mechanic who was walking out behind me. With my hands full. I stopped to hold the door open for him as he exited and he stopped and said to put them in the back of his truck bed, because he had a coolant collection tank at his shop. I just wanted to make sure the coolant was properly disposed of and if not for the mechanic, theyd have sat in my car for who knows how long. They could have taken them and had one of the many delivery drivers transport them to a location that had room in their coolant tanks. I didnt need the coolant containers back. The coolant was in the same, leak proof, locking lid containers I bought them in from that same store... the main issue is honestly that they are rude, not customer service oriented and possibly just are not happy with their job. Every job Ive worked in retail that I did not like did not affect how I treated the customers that were shopping where I worked. They were humans just like me I treated them as I would anyone, with respect and a kind heart.

Staff member was very polite and helpful, he answered every question that my nephew asking about our Honda Odyssey.

Placed an online order to be delivered same day. Needed a MAF Sensor and quickly. So paid more than other retailers online because I needed it that day. Fast forward a few hours later I get an email stating the order was picked up and is headed my way. 8 hours later no part. Fast forward two days later still no part so I called 800 number and agent couldn’t find my order. After 10 mins she finds it and proceeds to tell me that the order was cancelled and that I’ll be refunded in 2-3 days. I’ve now ordered the part and am expediting it to me via a different retailer. Lousy experience, lousy service, and still waiting on my refund.

Used to be a good shop years ago--had a machine shop where they could turn your brake rotors and more. Nothing was in pre-packaged quantities and I could find quality Castrol products there (brake fluid, power steering etc) for my old Jaguars. During the 2000s things changed, products and the machine shop disappeared and it just became like all the other chains..

Friendly staff, very knowledgeable. Also one of the best rewards programs.

I exclusively shop for auto parts at advance auto parts, but I absolutely cannot stand shopping at this location. Tonight kind of got on my nerves when I showed up right before closing by a minute or two and they refused to let me in saying they were closed. I know exactly what I needed and it was a fuse for my sister. Would’ve taken less than two minutes for me to grab the fuse and pay with my card. Save yourself the headache and go to the other location a mile or two up the road.

Asked one of the employees a question she directed me to her manager who then instead of trying to help spoke down to me im not asking you to fix my car buddy was just looking for a little insight next time just say you dont know

Prices are ok. One slight problem: they dont loan jacks at all. To jack my range rover up just to change a strut, I had no other option than to purchase a very overpriced 3 ton floor jack at $80 + tax. If you dont have a truck their cheapest option for a jack is $40. This can be problematic for some as they also do not do returns and youre stuck with a rather heavy jack to deal with. Also, if you need an impact gun, they have the same policy with them; no returns or loaners. Seems theyre more profit oriented than customer service.

Your average auto parts store, sometimes have good sales, others they are a smidge more expensive so just make sure you shop around. Not bad but nothing to write home about

I asked for the cheapest battery for my car and was sold a $100 battery. I shouldve picked the battery on their site first. Theres actually a $70 battery that their site says fits my car. Dont trust the guy behind the counter. The best case is he didnt have the cheaper battery in stock and lied because he didnt want to loose the sale.While I was there, the clerk got into a nasty argument with a customer over a return and threatened to call the police. The clerk handled it very badly. He didnt offer any alternative solutions and was very quick to threaten the customer with the police.

Too bad I cant give zero stars. We took my daughters car here to have the battery tested. The guy said the battery was bad. We spent $124 for a battery for her to stall out in the middle of 436 about 5 minutes later. Horrible, horrible, horrible service. After the guy tested the battery he proceeded to smoke a cigarette and tell us we have to go inside for the battery and he couldnt help us. We go inside and he comes in reeking of smoke ready to help us with the purchase. In the 15 minutes we were there I saw the four employees each smoke a cigarette and one of them went for a smoke break twice in that amount of time. All while customers were waiting for service. Will NEVER go back.

Ive been shopping here for car parts for over 30 years. They first opened as Discount Auto Parts and I used them for building several race cars.All the small parts you need for either performance cars or your family van. Batteries, bulbs, oil, filters, tools and much more.It doesnt have an updated system for returns though. If you lose your receipt they cant look it up on the system through the credit card like Home Depot and so many other stores. I was told by Corporate that they are changing the system in the near future.Staff is OK. They dont always get the part right and some of them dont know the proper procedures for handling customers. However if you are in a tight spot and need that part for the repair, this is one of the only places you can go to get the part. The next nearest part store is in Apopka or across I4 in Altamonte Springs.

I needed a battery, they had a battery. Not really a wait and they took my old dead one that I didnt want to deal with. Kinda hard to get into the parking lot, but that has more to do with the busy road out front than anything.

Needed parts, got parts. Excellent employee help. Ill go back.

The staff that was closing June 6th was very unhelpful. They clearly didnt NOT care to help and just wanted to get out of there.

This Advance needs to rotate they chemical products more frequently. I got some Aircraft Stripper and it seemed very old. It was very watery and even after shaking for a long period of time it didnt seem very strong.
