My water heater broke on a Thursday, they came out that afternoon and “fixed it”. However, it stopped working shortly after they left and by Thursday night I had no hot water. They came back on Friday and told me I needed a new gas valve. I was told on Friday that the part would most likely arrive on Monday….. It is now Wednesday and I have called them several times to try and figure out what is going on and i keep getting the same response “it’s not in yet”. I know that shipping is out of their control, but it’s absolutely ridiculous that I have been out of hot water for almost a week now….. Also, they already sent me a bill in the mail even though i still have no hot water (the irony)! I have used MPE for several different things throughout the years, including a tesla charger installation, but I will not be using this company in the future following my most recent experience with them.

Called MPE to get my Generac 22kW whole house generator system serviced. Chance Gore was the technician that came to our home. He was right on-time and performed very thorough service, inspection, preventive maintenance, and test of our generator and transfer switch. I was very impressed by his knowledge of our equipment, his professionalism, the neatness of his work, and his politeness. I purchased a service contract for the generator system and the cost is a very good deal for this level of service.

Tim, the VPO, showed up today, despite the roads being too hazardous and icy for him or any of his other technicians to drive on, in order to fix my heating so that I would have warmth in the midst of this winter storm. I am extremely impressed with the service, immensely grateful, and will definitely recommend to others. Thank you, Tim!

My experience with MPE has been nothing but difficult from the beginning. Their lack of communication was disastrous. The cost of repairs for a small electrical job was ridiculous. I will not use this company for any services.

Called them at 11:06am was told they would be here in two hours they called me at 3:27pm they were on there way was told if they blow dryer line out $89.99 fast forward they blow it out WITH MY BLOWER then came in with a bill for $150 they called it shop fees,travel time, materials, the equipment they used hello you used mine so in short watch for hidden or extra fees very unprofessional thank you

MPE s a large company and they claim to do HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security systems, and who knows what else. They take the money the locals pay them for services and buy up rental properties and run that also out of this office. When you call it somtimes takes them 2-3 times of switching you around to people before you can get an appointment for what you are calling about or to pay a bill and the plumbing services should get a 0 star review as we have had no success with the plumbing part of MPE at all. We work out of town and so when we called a plumber to our home for a dripping sink and a toilet that the flush handle was messed up on they came out and we paid the bill and we shut the water off at the main while we are out of town working and when we got back in town and it was dripping when we turned the water back on the girl who answered the phone stated they only guarantee the work for 30 days only! They said I would have to pay an additional fee to have it fixed when it was not fixed the first time. Later we called and they never showed up so we called another plumber and had it fixed. I wouldn’t recommend the plumbing services part of MPE at all. It’s also hot or miss with the HVAC team as well. We paid a membership fee to the young boys that came to our personal home to service and maintain our Hvac systems and it was suppose to also go toward any parts and they stated they would be out to clean the coils annually and check it and we never saw them again so I cannot currently say I would recommend this side of MPE. The boy service I have had that was a 5 Star was the electrical service i received from Terry and Russel. The electrical side of MPE I was very happy with on the house we bought for our child. I felt that this portion of MPE was great but may no longer be since I know some of these guys no longer work for MPE. If you need electrical done I would ask for Russel or Terry to come out. Again unless things change I would not at this present time have these guys do Hvac or plumbing for you since it’s guaranteed for 30 days because if it starts back leaking or dripping they won’t honor their work. As most of you know if you are local jobs are scarce in Florence and so is pay so we have no option but to work out of town so a company that doesn’t honor their work when they know you are not home 3 days out of a month of that isn’t a good company to do work with. It also took me calling 3 times to get the verdict on that they only cover their plumbing work for 30 days but another plumber said they are suppose to warrant for one year. This is my experience with the plumbing and the Hvac people taking our membership money and never seeing them again.

I have called MPE for electrical, plumbing, and A/C repairs. Aside from the electrician, every employee they have sent to do work is exceptionally young and has the level of training that would have been taught in high school entry-level shop courses 20+ years. They need years of supervised training before they should be working alone, and they should have to pass rigorous testing to be certified.As it is, I have paid when they either didnt have a clue what they were doing, they did the work improperly so I had to call someone else to have it done; or the tech bumbled through trying to explain what was needed, omitting information that his service that day would not be covered by any warranty. Since I didnt pay with a check or credit card, I had no recourse for obtaining a refund (or partial refund).Next time, Ill find an experience technician outside of my local professional-depleted area.

Tried to use them to install lights inside and outside my house.First appointment set and my work schedule rearranged for them to do the work.. wouldn’t come do any of the work because it was raining.Planned a second date, rearranged my work schedule again for the planned date... never heard from them. When I contacted to see if they were showing... more excuses why it couldn’t be done.NOT A DEPENDABLE BUSINESS!!!!!

Called to get help and apparently calling on a Friday is part of the weekend. Their rates are double the others I’ve called at $193.50 and hour and $140+ on weekdays. Still high for plumbing. Won’t be using this company ever. Do price shopping before calling this company. They don’t offer anything more special than others offer. I don’t work for a competitor or in the service industry period. Just a smart shopper sharing advice.

Called MPE Services on Thanksgiving morning due to clogged pipes. Plumbing tech Tim was extremely considerate and knowledgeable especially since he was working on Thanksgiving morning. Pulled a huge wad of roots from our main sewer line and checked to make sure all lines were clear before they left. I will definitely call them for future work.

If you are looking for a company that will come when they say they will, then keep on looking. MPE is not that business. We scheduled an appointment for someone to come look at our needs. Did not show up. Made an another appointment. Someone came and quoted us. They did have the 1/2 installation we needed and when we tried to schedule the rest of the appointment we could never get anyone out. We had 3 missed appointments before we gave up and hired someone else.

When I made the appointment I was given the hourly rate and the “shop fee”. My job took 51 minutes from the time the guy arrived until he went to the truck to make the bill. I was charged for and hour and a half. When I asked why I was told that time starts from the time the guy calls and says he’s in the way until the bill is made. These two things “drive time” and bill making are counted in time. These pushed me over one hour. I’m not a fan of this and it wasn’t communicated to me in advance. A half hour labor won’t kill me but I don’t think I’ll be back.

I can always count on MPE to do the job. They always come quick and do an amazing job.

MPE went above and beyond when my unit went out. They are very efficient, dependable, and professional. I would recommend MPE to anyone needing a new AC unit or needing work done on one. Excellent service from this company. I have used them for several problems at my home. The electrical and plumbing specialists were outstanding. Hot water heater was replaced within three days of request because of space issues. Great service.

Carlos saved me 1000$ i called other plumbers and their experts said 1200$ to replace my water heater and an additional 60$ service call.. Carlos from MPE came out ,called whirlpool and had the part shipped directly to my home at no charge and fixed my water heater. Great service would definitely recommend to anyone. Had to replace my heating/cooling system this week. MPE made it easier. They gave me several good options, answered all my questions, and worked around my schedule. The communication was excellent and the guys installing were so polite and even cleaned debris from underneath my house and replaced a door into my crawl space. They made sure everything was working to my satisfaction before they left. We only tell the bed stories so I just felt like I had to share this good experience from a local company

Took a couple times them coming back out to get it fixed, but my signs look amazing now.

When i went looking for help....when no one else would return my calls... or show when i needed them....Only MPE came when i called ... they came out serviced my greenhouse and did an outstanding job at it to say the least....they kept working until the last hour of their work day......So MPE is my go to helper on everything from a/c and heating, electrical, restaurant equipment, plumbing, and, low temp.... They are the best choice in North and central alabama...!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the Contractor that Lowes in Gadsden, Alabama contracts with. Lowes may contract with them elsewhere. I had them quote me for the installation of mini-splits (HVAC) in my home. They quoted me a price of $11,789.00. This price was extremely high and unreasonable. I asked for an itemized breakdown of cost and never received it. Top of the line units may be purchased for approximately $4,500.00 and the price includes everything needed for installation. Installation normally takes one work day. It is reasonable to expect to pay $85 per hour for installation.Long story short, I found a Contractor that purchased and installed my mini-splits for me at a cost of $6500.00 total. The units are top of the line (Gree) and have an outstanding warranty.Dont let HVAC companies rip you off. Take time to investigate what you need and check the reviews on the company. If they only have a hand full of reviews I recommend keeping looking. I have found a lot of these HVAC companies have their employees write reviews for them.I would not recommend this company for HVAC work.

**DO NOT use Shoals MPE for your Heating and Air needs.** They charge 2× what others local companies charge. Then charge you for unnecessary service they claim you need. Which isnt the problem or the fix for the problem your having. They claimed my lines needed blown out. Well when the pan under you unit looks like a cheese grater. So, water is running though it. Blowing a line out isnt the fix!! So, they send a salesman to sell you a whole new unit. Meanwhile..the unit is running its heart out and dumping more water in your house. Because blowing a line out, isnt how you fix a bad pan!! But selling a new unit for $8987.00 is the fix, they claim. Well I got a second opinion. Thats how I found out exactly what was wrong. $680. to fix what was obviously wrong! In the meantime...MPE salesman comes out with paper work for the new unit. I told him, what I had found out was wrong. He goes in my attic and looks. So, I ask him what he would change me to fix what was obviously the problem. He gave me a price of $1,300. Now really yall! But it didnt end there. Of course, I let the other company do the work. Get this, MPE sent a bill to collection for $120. Because they claim, I needed my lines blown out and that is what I needed done! Yeah, really Ill go pay that bill they claim, I owe! But folks, if you need work done. Dont use them because they, obviously will bill you for unnecessary services.( Yes, I have pictures and paperwork to prove all of this.)

Read Before Calling MPE. I learned a trick to doing business with MPE (the hard way) that will save customers a lot of money. If a customer places a service call, and MPE does not show up with the parts needed for the job, they will charge that customer about $80 an hour while they go on a parts run. Yes, you pay MPE almost $80 an hour to go shopping. However, there is a way around that. Before hiring them to do ANYTHING first call and have them come out for a FREE quote. This is a no-cost service MPE offers, when MPE shows up to perform the quoted work they should have everything they need, and it will save unsuspecting customers from paying $80 an hour for a shopping trip.I give their service techs 5-stars, their back office 1-star, for an average of 3-stars. I would recommend using MPE, but you just have to be smart so youre not overcharged.

Poor service. Called three days out for service. Called multiple times each day to verify a plumber would show be at my house. Each day at 3:30, I received a. All staying it will be tomorrow. I have house guests coming and bathroom sink cannot be used!

Never do business with these guys. Their plumber improperply installed a water heater in my house, and flooded my house for the second time in a month and a half ruining my brand new floors. I was able to get the plumber to come out, and he did admit it was their fault but ever since then I have been able to get no help from this company. They said they would send their insurance agent out, I heard nothing. I started trying to call their mainline, and no matter what time of day I call, the owner is ALWAYS busy and will always call me back, which he never does. I have now not had hot water in my house for 9 days, because I cant even hire someone to come fix the problem until their insurance agent, who has never contacted me, comes out. Steer clear!!

Recently had a leak in the wall behind my shower.Called in the morning and they came out the same day and fixed it.The technician did a great job and cleaned up when he completed the job and was very professional.

Shoals MPE used to the place to get something done. Im not sure what changed there, but these people can not even do an estimate unless the customer hounds them and waits for calls the never come.

Terrible customer service, will not return calls as promised. Technician surveyed job on day scheduled and told would return later in the day to complete, NEVER returned or called. Repeated requests through the office still leads to no action.
