These guys know what theyre talking about. When it comes to camping and fishing supplies, the person helping me knew everything. I highly recommend coming here just for their knowledge-base of information. Theyre really friendly and make terrific recommendations if youre not sure what to get. Im not sure, but I dont think they make commission. They just genuinely want to help.

Customer service isnt great. Walked in with 5 employees at the front and no one said hi, or can I help you find anything. Store set up is great though, was able to find everything I needed for my kiddos soccer season.

Overpriced and no public restrooms. Bought a pair of sandals that were normally $15 cheaper at any other place. Instead, here, you pay 38 dollars. Other than that, they do have a good variety of items to get for such a small place.

Looked it up on the internet trying to find a special type of BB gun which I was informed that the Big 5 Sporting Goods had in stock when I showed up they did not have what I was looking for apparently the clerk said that they were having problems receiving products from various organizations and companies due to the covid so thank you very much covid

Bought New Balance wide width shoes for 20 yrs here.

The prices are too high. I had to search the entire store to find one employee that was behind a register. There was nobody else to help me in the entire store. When I went to ask the cashier for help finding the location of something, he simply said anything we have is on the floor. Very helpful.There was no public bathroom. We stopped right off the highway after getting into Flagstaff with two toddlers and four adults. When I approached the cashier with my toddler in hand and asked if there was a bathroom he simply said no. Ok. Neat.I had to purchase things that were necessary (since it was snowing and I did not expect that in AZ) on a trip where I had no other sporting goods stores available at the time otherwise I would not have purchased anything there.

I go for the daily deals. . Not busy at all there is always some one to help you find what u are looking for.

Worse sporting goods store I’ve ever been in. No selection always out of merchandise. I’ve visited the store 3 times since moving up north, football season out of all merchandise.soccer season no cleats no shin guards associates can’t tell you when or if merchandise will be in. Flagstaff needs another sporting goods store. I do not know how they stay in business

Most of the people here dont really seem to be experts in their area and as a result there is a very blind leading the blind feel to this place.

Awesome place don’t have many of these left. Good place to purchase quality sporting goods. They had exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and the store had tons of merchandise. Will definitely be stopping here again when I go sledding in flagstaff!

I was in from out of town in the flagstaff store and had searched every where for snow pants and no one had my size. My kids were exhausted from driving all day, and bored from shopping after. The store clerk (think his name is Billy? -dark hair and had little siblings), distracted my youngest son by asking him about football and tossing the ball around so that I was able to finish my shopping (without any whining). This store clerk made my day, my trip, and especially my son’s day. Not only did he not whine anymore, he had fun while he was there. This clerk deserved a tip (if I had any cash on me I would have!)! He’s a great asset to your store, but mostly he’s a great person! That’s hard to come by these days!!Melissa

Today I went to big five and the fact that it is one of my favorite stores to go to it was a bad experience they should hire people that are nice and that’s are rude. I went to buy a pair of shoes for my daughter and the fact that they gave me two pairs of the same right side shoe, So I went back to the store, to exchange the shoes and the worker named Dan, said I was yelling at him (which I wasn’t) and still wanted me to pay more money for the exact shoe that I just bought a few minutes before. I’m not coming back.

I will not give less than five stars. If I dont have anything nice to say...That being said, I stopped here for emergency hiking boots. I accidentally wore my loafers because I took my dog out in them before I left from Winslow to check out Walnut Canyon. This is a sporting goods store and a, seemingly, good one. Their best hiking shoes are Columbia, which is a great brand, but I have horrible feet, so I generally require a more expensive hiking shoe. TMI? Probably.

I didnt give them a 5 because I feel like they are definitely on the pricey side and its only because of how widely known they are. However, as far as the outdoors and Sporting Goods you can literally find anything you are looking for here. I personally like the Hidden Gem stores that sell outdoor goods and winter clothing and boots and things like that because they have great prices and good quality. This store does have good quality items and I would say it definitely varies in quality depending on the brand. So make sure you Choose Wisely. But if you need one place for all your Sporting Goods needs then this is definitely a good place to go.

Got $10 hiking boots here!! What a steal

I just dont like these stores...I went in to buy fuel for camping and intentionally bought more than needed after reviewing their return policy. After finishing my camping trip, I returned to the store with my receipt and asked to return the full fuel cans (receipt in hand). The cashier didnt know if they could be returned so she got the manager. The manager drilled me about the return policy, which I showed her the copy conveniently located at the front desk that DID NOT mention fuel, and said, Ill allow it THIS time.Whatever, I got my money back, but why the beef?Good selection of stuff, slightly high on the price, but they have a lot of items not everyone has.

An ideal sporting good store that I went here last summer for some shoes. Cheap, a lot of options to choose from clean store, friendly area, positive atmosphere cool products. Make sure if you buy shoes get used to them dont take a 15mile hike it could be unpleasant.Would recommend

The sporting goods selection is decent but you can usually look forward to tight aisles and boxes stacked near the entrance. The customer service is usually friendly though and the prices arent outrageous.

The sales reps and management are always helpful, and always professional. Some in upper management might consider being a little more friendly to subordinate staff and customers.Perhaps the pressures to perform at top levels can be overwhelming for upper management bc of corporates unrelenting high standards, demands, and daily expectations, etc.. Only God knows the answer to that.But my overall experiences have been good.

Im a Native American who didnt get any greeting from the front, even though there was two cashiers. I continued to the shoe area, where I was mistakenly asked if I needed help, someone was waiting longer for help, so I waited my turn. The man in front of me got his shoe size he wanted. When it was my turn, the salesman walk away from me, I looked for him personally for help, and he rolled his eyes at me then left away from me. So sad so I had to leave since nobody wanted to help me???

Little store with lots of stuff. You can find some good deals on stuff you need here in Flagstaff. Hiking, camping, skiing stuff at ok prices. Better than getting gouged at specialty stores. And dont be surprised if they have what you are looking for at a sale price!

Not only did they have my hold still (which Id forgotten to pick up this weekend), but the manager even honored the expired sales price since Id put it on hold on time for that sale.Lets just say, I was super stoked when I left. Bought 3 sleds today for a 5 year old and two six years olds. I understand a no refund policy if you change your mind, but two broke almost immediately. Now they wont let me get replacements and we have 3 little boys that want to have fun this weekend in the snow. $30.00 down the drain in 3 hours. Shame on you Big 5!

The busiest Big 5 Ive ever seen. Unfortunately, their entire collection of inexpensive goggles looked like someone sat on them. It was a brand weve used before, so we grabbed a pair and bought it. Turned out that there was a pretty big scratch on the lens.
