When I first made my appointment to go see what Clayton Homes had on their lot, we werent expecting to purchase a home. Our sale associate was none other than Darnell McNeil. He patiently showed my wife and I several beautiful homes. My wife and I found ourselves back out at Clayton Homes of the very next weekend. This time we were in Darnells office filling out an application. Since the first time we spoke with Darnell, he was top notch. We closed on our house recently. Its a terrible place they are out to get u for ur money. And dont even get u a home that u want with alot of runaround till the lender denies and then clayton homes walk away with over half ur deposit and u have nothing in return to show for it. And for ur comment i have yet to see a paper i signed for any of that.

Even though I didnt go through with the purchase I have to say that working with Joy was great. I only worked with her so I can An only speak on her. She was so honest and clear on everything. She definitely was NOT a typical sales person. She is very trust worthy. I will say we where greeted by Donnie which he was extremely nice and attentive but we had already asked for Joy.. I have been different places and I have to say this was a pleasure dealing with Joy. If your looking for honestly and a nice person she definitely is that person.

Let me just start by saying the beginning is great! They treat you with respect always nice and willing to work with you for most part. On the other hand when you’re told something you MUST make sure it’s in writing because it will definitely get turned around. I’m almost at a year staying in my home and the house is very nice but the house itself is way over priced. On getting things fixed it was a nightmare at first but now they have someone to schedule appointments for you so someone can come out. I wish I could rate this better but honesty it very important and people should know what you’re getting into before hand!

This place is a Nightmare! I was financed $75,000.00 for a $45,000.00 home. I am making payments that I do not owe and was threatened with Foreclosure although Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance Inc. and Clayton Homes’ employees know that I was overcharged. An overpayment was made to Bryan Lawrence and Clayton Homes, Fayetteville North Carolina and after 8 years, I am Be veeeery careful when you buy a home from this lot. An employee at Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance told me that I did not get the home I am making payments on after I asked why am I still making payments. Also, the person who brought my home out, left it unlevel. the plumbing is bad etc. and Clayton Homes does not care. Paul Adams with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance will not refuses to help and Eric Hamilton cannot be reached. We all know that the home was $45,000.00. I am being robbed. Pay very, very, very, close attention to the Contract Price at the lawyers officer Jeffery E. Raeford PA. 2653 Hope MillsRd.Suite10 Fayetteville, NC. 28306 when you close the deal for your purchase at Clayton Homes, Fayetteville North Carolina. General Manager, Bryan Lawrence, Beth Hunt and M. Locker are thieves and I have the original agreement as evidence. I asked Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance to and Bryan Lawrence and his finance department to send copies of the canceled checks that were paid out to Clayton Homes Fayetteville NC and as of today’s date, I have not received them due to the fact that Bryan Lawrence lied and his finance team lied about the price of my home and claims to have setup and delivery fees to hide their misdeeds. Setup and delivery is Clayton Homes responsibility when you purchase their homes. Again, Pay Very Close Attention to The Contract Price of Your Purchase Before Signing Your Contract! Bring Your Own Lawyer to Your Closing!!! SOMEONE AT CLAYTON HOMES RECEIVED AN OVERPAYMENT OF $30,000. BUYER BE AWARE!!! Owners of Clayton Homes, the home that I purchased was built on your lot in 2009. All you have to do is research and you will also agree with the fact that the home I purchased was $45,000.00 and pull the canceled check you received and give Vanderbilt Mortgage and finance the $30,000 overpayment Clayton Homes received. You do have the power to correct the problem your employees have caused. Clayton Homes, you work closely with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, you are partners. I don’t need conversations with people , Ineed a refund and my title to my home and deed to my land. I have overpaid tremendously and Clayton Homes and Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance can fix the problem. You have given refunds in the past, therefore Clayton Homes along with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance and fix this problem. When I talked to Misty Griggs at Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, she said that they would fix these problems because I did not receive the home I am paying on.

When I switched from wanting to finance to pay cash, Darnell responded by telling me to put some money down now on a house or he wasn’t going to effort into the sale. LAZY!!! I had my home about two years my refrigerator and my stove stop working come to find out my refrigerator is 3 year old. Bad busy clayton homes and if I didnt have the protection plan I would be on my own and joy one of they salesman said theirs nothing that they can do. The entire home-buying process was a pain. I had the impression that the people at Clayton Homes hadnt sold a mobile home before. At each step of the process there were errors in the paperwork on their part. Wrong county, wrong name, wrong price... Sometimes I would get a call after just leaving letting me know to come back because they had forgot to have me sign something. The fit and finish of the home once set-up is not near the quality of the on site displays. The quality of materials is the same, but the assembly isnt to the same level of detail.Would not buy from them again or recommend anyone else to.
