Terrible customer service. Good luck getting through to talk to anyone. Wait on hold and then get disconnected. Do not waste your money on ADT Security.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Both ADT and Blue by ADT are absolute garbage! I saw in another post below the exact circumstance that happened to me. They lied just to get me to sign a contract.I originally signed up for Blue by ADTs services back in September of 2020. Although temporary, I no longer owned where I was moving to and the landlord did not want anything permanent installed. I explained the situation to the individual with ADT who proposed their new branch (Blue by ADT) as a solution. I was assured multiple times that this was month to month and that I could cancel at any time. Based on where this type of business is headed with companies like Ring and SimliSafe, that did not seem too off base.With the understanding that this can be cancelled at any time, I moved forward with Blue by ADT. I moved into the new location which took a couple months to unpack. At this time, I had not been able to unpack and install the devices shipped to me from Blue by ADT due to moving and starting a new job. Please keep in mind that I was still paying the monthly cost for the services although they had not been installed. ADT withdrew approximately $500-$600 from my account without my knowing simply because I had not installed the devices even though I was paying monthly for their use. Ridiculous.Now, I am calling to cancel Blue by ADT as I am no longer renting and was informed that I owe somewhere around $700 to cancel. This is unacceptable. I was lied to so that I would sign a contract.When I signed up for Blue by ADT, I was assured several times that I could cancel and that this was month to month.Please please save your money they are not worth the stress and headache they will cause you. I agree with the below review that this company seriously needs to be out of business and will be reported to the BBB.

This company and their service is TRASH! They will lie to you just to get you to sign a contract. Even getting out of a contract with them is a headache. People please save your money they aren’t worth the stress and headache they will cause you. This company seriously needs to be out of business with how horrible they are nothing but liars and thiefs there!

If there was an option for -5 Stars I would have selected that option! From the beginning we were given 1 price and the charged another price, which was higher of course. And now that we are canceling our system we were given 1 cancelation price and then at the end they tacted on an additional $400 for good measure. Never worked with a company with soooo many fine print details there are not presented to you up from. For example: we were told we have 60 days to cancel if we dont like the services, but when we called to cancel within the 60 days they then told us its only if a tech comes out for the same issue 3 times. Anything outside of that requires you to pay the rest of your contract.THIS COMPANY WILL ALMOST PROTECT YOUR HOME BUT DEFINITELY NOT YOUR WALLET!!CHOOSE VIVENT!!

I regret getting ADT!! Please people save your money. I been having issues with the doorbell camera not working since day 1!! Techs have came out to “fix it”multiple times and they still have the audacity to charge me a trip fee? It’s not my fault they can’t get their system to work. After the tech came to “fix” my camera I told him I was told there would not be a fee he said yes sorry I still have to charge you. Well I didn’t agree to it. Then I get the workoder summary with terms and conditions where they checked stating I agreed to them!! I did not! Apparently now are they falsifying your signature and consent too! They tell you lies, so make sure you record every conversation you have with them cause it turns into your words against theirs. If the system worked I wouldn’t even be upset but it’s trash it never works. Just please save yourself the anger and headache.

My system misses every thing that happens. Stops working a lot. Gets clips from cara on the road and nothing that happens in my yard. Very disappointed.

Made sure everything was installed exactly where I wanted. Knew what he was doing, made sure I knew what I was doing before he left. Over-all I’m really happy with my new system. I love all the new updates Command has.

Worst customer service! Had ADT for almost 6 years, moved to a new house, they said not to relocate my paid in full equipment, I would be given relocation credit and my contract would be waived. What they don’t tell you is the monthly will go up significantly and they will charge you all over for new equipment!! Don’t agree, oh well they will charge you early termination, even though they gave misleading information. Don’t fall for it!

Worst customer service ever, I have had my system replaced twice due to faulty. A tech was suppose to come out last month never did. Not even a phone call to say they were not coming to fix issue. Adt local “BRADY” was no help and super rude. I regret getting ADT they are charging me for a system that does not work. They did troubleshooting several times and it works for few hours and goes back to not working. They did not bother working with me they said I had to pay it’s in the contract, at least give me a system that actually works. I was better off getting a dog for security. This junk isn’t going to protect or alert us for anything. Adt please don’t respond with I’m sorry about your frustration or experience try fixing the issue instead of feeding your customers lies!!! Save your money don’t get stuck in a contract!

I operate 3 businesses and use ADT for all 3. Long story short, I had to make a change to one of my stores, but ended up talking to RICHIE with National Accounts. First, Richie had no energy. None. It was like speaking to somebody who either hates their job, or just does not care. His customer service in turn was horrible. Did not solve my problem, and I promise you, he doesnt care about solving my problem. What a shame.

We signed up with ADT November 2, 2018 mainly because that is what the previous owner used. ADT offered a promotional to us that included a ADT Pulse camera doorbell and a camera outside. I was please with the camera angle of the ADT Pulse camera and told them dont worry about the remote camera. ADT claims they refunded the promotional price of the camera $67.Since, we have had problems with the ADT Pulse camera charging. Typically, in the mornings we can access the camera via our ADT app, however, by afternoon and evening, we lose access to the camera due to low battery. On the ADT app, we consistently see low battery as an issue.Ive had ADT tech support out twice from their local office in Fayetteville. The latest visit today the tech said he was going to replace the ADT Pulse doorbell with a Ring 2 because it doesnt charge below 32 degrees. My thought process was, ok, the Ring 2 Doorbell doesnt offer the same camera angle as the ADT Pulse so I will need the camera and asked ADT to honor the promotional pricing for the camera. They said the promotional price is over and they would not honor it.After some research, the ADT Pulse is known to have issues charging at temperatures of 32 degrees or below and this has been out there for a while.Bottom line, I made a decision to not have the camera installed based on the ADT Pulse Doorbell, a known faulty camera. Now that they want to replace the ADT Pulse with a Ring 2, they wont honor the original agreement.I was on the phone with ADT this morning for 35 minutes and spoke with (5) different individuals, having to explain our situation to each one. The last person I spoke with, Brady, a supervisor at the local office in Fayetteville, could use some lessons in customer service. He was very condescending and did nothing to defuse the situation, on the contrary, he escalated. Basically his response was there was nothing he could do because we signed a contract. Heard that (3) times. There was absolutely no consideration for the faulty equipment installed by his office!!!
