I had adt for close to 5 years. I previously moved from a house to an apartment and adt said they would transfer my service to adt blue so it would be considered a transfer of contract and not a cancellation of contract. One month after moving adt charged me $350 for a service cancellation. I called them and after a long conversation they said they would refund me the money and it would talk 7-10 business days plus an additional 15 days to return my $350 that they were never allowed to take in the first place. Poor customer service. As soon as my contract is up i will be cancelling and i would not recommend adt to anyone.

This company is supposed to be all about great customer service, right? Ha! I work in a restaurant across the street from them and every Wednesday they order a HUGE carry out and want the names on everyones boxes. Today it was 18 people, $114.89. They pay with a COMPANY credit card and cant even tip a penny. I would never call them for anything after the way they treat us week after week.

When we purchased the system we were very specific about it working with the dogs in the house. A glass break was installed in the room where the dogs are kept when not at home. The dogs barking has set off the alarm 3 times. Installation took far more time than was told. Appointments were made to complete the job and not kept. Finally a so called manager came to complete the job and left his phone number for any issues. Called and texted him 3 times and he doesnt respond. Paying $60 a month and cannot use the system. If this is great customer service I wonder what poor service is. I bet no one reads the reviews and I will not be contacted. Tried to call the office at 7am as their web site states they are open 7am to 12am. Go through several prompts to get a recording they do not open until 8am. They cannot even get their web site correct.We received an e-mail to our comment with an invitation to contact them in reply about our issues. When attempting to send an e-mail to the address provided on 2 occasions the e-mail bounced back. They did have someone contact me and did a remote adjustment to lower the glass break. We will see if that actually works. I really wonder about this franchise, the information is incorrect on their web site and the e-mail information doesnt work. Maybe someone can reach out by telephone from the corporate office so I can speak directly to them. It isnt like they dont have contact information, they call when the glass break is activated by the dogs.

Review too long. see attached photo. I am only giving a 3 star because like i said the technician was a wonder PERSON but he needs more training. I like the ADT system. But the experience was GOD AWFUL and still has been.EDIT: apparently it wont let me attach the photo. so youll just have to contact me for my FULL reviewEDIT: this email address bounces back. i tried sending it 5 times

Poor installation, poor communication, poor customer service. I was paying $180 per year prior for my alarm system. ADT comes in, cant use my existing wiring to take over the system - installs sensors that to this day still dont work, and now I pay $59 a month. Had the installers out 3 times, still have one pad not working, communication with home office is very sporadic. Promises made - not kept.P.S. wrote back per the request last Saturday, still waiting for a response.

I had the worst experience ever. Like the manager promised me $27 a month package for 3 years with 15 door and window sensors, 2 key chain fobs, $100 visa card and $380 worth of credit for free upgrades. When the technicians arrived the next day they said they had been instructed to only give is 7 sensors instead of the 15 promised by the manager. And just 1 key fob and $0 credit. I called customer service and gave them my reference number and they couldnt pull up whatever the manager had said. They LIE to you over the phone to make a sale. Do not fall for this company. They promise to protect your home but they are the biggest thieves! Im extremely happy with another company now!

The installation process was completed in a timely manner. The ADT technician was very knowledgeable and explained each detail of the newly purchased alarm system. Jack made our experience with ADT an enjoyable time spend learning about the various items available to make our home a very safe environment .

My technician was great! Very personable, understanding, and I felt like he was truly concerned about putting me in the best system for ME, not just selling me add-ons. My only suggestion is that he makes sure hes disconnected his alarm panel from the new home alarm panel. I had the orange triangle pop up the first day my system was taken off test mode, which was a little disconcerting. After 15 minutes on the phone though, it was resolved. Not a huge deal, and he was still one of the best in-home technicians that Ive ever dealt with and I greatly appreciate everything he did for me.

I am a happy and safe with ADT save my life as I was sleeping and woke me up with the fire alarm and the fire department and calls they made to my phone I say thank you adt.. I am lucky to have ADT..

So far we are happy with our actual product (ADT system) as it appears to be working well. However, I cannot say the same about our experience from inquiry to installation. The man I spoke with on the phone (Kodi) initially explained the $27.99 package promotion and how it includes several things (that I wrote down and even double checked that they were not an extra cost) including: video doorbell, unlimited doors/window security, etc. He also promised that there would be no drilling in the walls. Lastly, he said that the tech would show up on Saturday between 8-9 AM but would call first and shoot for as close to 9 as possible (per our ask). Come Saturday, the tech shows up at 8:05 and does not call to say he is on his way. He then goes on to explain that the service is actually $52.99 a month (not $27.99 like we were quoted as that is only for homes with land line phones ... which who has these days?). We then told him we would not like to go forward and will be shopping around. He then conveniently called his manager and was able to match the promotion. Once we were good there, he proceeds to start drilling in the wall for the equipment. I asked I was told there was no drilling... and of course, nope that was incorrect. I asked (before he started drilling) if we could go over to make sure that the there would be no other fees before the $27.99 and he said oh, yeah youre good that’s it. I then proceeded to ask Well should we go around and make sure that we figure out number of doors and windows first or is that included? He replies with Yes, its included. Once he has finished installing the equipment, he asks to be shown around the house to take a full inventory of our windows and doors for a security assessment. Turns out that in the promotion, we only could get 2 exterior doors, basic lower-end key fabs, and a motion detector. Above this, you have to pay for each window and door…. Ridiculous. I said, I thought you said there was no additional fee to have doors or windows and they were all included… “Oh I’m sorry if I misspoke, I meant your monthly fee stays the same but you do have to pay for the equipment.”All in all, I feel like this entire process was a bait and switch. The sales consultant should have told us what was included (no video doorbell, no such thing as unlimited, etc) He should have also explained that the special price is ONLY if you have a landline because that eliminates 90% of people. Also, please stop raving about how there is no drilling involved… absolute lie. The tech should have went through and did his security assessment first and explained what was recommended and pricing BEFORE drilling. I think they drill first so that you feel like you have to move forward.If I could do this again, I would work with a different company.

Everything went really well. Install took longer than expected, and was a little more expensive than expected, but we had everything that we wanted put in place and were very happy. Cant put a price on feeling safe.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!They make you sign the 36 months contract and thats it ...they GOT YOU ! My alarm system stopped working while i was on the contract and they asked me to pay $100 for their technician to come home and fix it .After the guy fixed it and left ,in a weeks time it was not working again .Calls after calls ,I was fed up .We were paying monthly since we were under the 36 month contract AND if I were to break the contract ,I had to pay the for 80% of the remaining months in the contract.FINALLY THE CONTRACT ENDED ----YAY! I rarely take the time to write a review BUt i had to write this review about ADT.Now were happy with another alarm company :D
