My first time working with Prairie Petals was for my wedding and I am so glad I did! Kimberly was so gracious and helpful every step of the way, and helped with not just flowers but with any artistic questions we could have. Have you ever been to a place that you wish you could buy the stuff on the walls that they decorated the business with, or wanted to just wander around and look because it all looks so neat and interesting? Well that is Prairie Petals. Each time I walk in I have to remind myself that it is a business and I am there for business not just to look at the new cards or plates, yes plates , or pots, lots of pots and then the handmade jewelry, oh and yes the really cool plants and trees and flowers i have never seen up close like this. The team there seems to blend in to the plant life. They are aware of you but they are not pushing you, they are creating art while you shop and when you do have a question they are right there to help. Pet friendly plants are everywhere and delivery is ALWAYS ALWAYS SOMEHOW AVAILABLE..Yesterday i needed flowers, needed them , and at 500 pm I contacted Prairie and it was done , same day , end of day delivery, the flowers were at my girls front porch in 20 minutes .Prairie Petals does not have too many rules, they are fresh and alive and they make custom cards in 5 minutes for your delivery, wow. Oh and about the delivery , I didnt pick a bouquet out , the women asked me a series of questions about my girls likes and that was it. what i got was amazing , i have no idea what types of flowers are in it or what type of plants and leaves are but its beautiful.If your looking for pre packaged mundane 1800fleurs type stuff, dont go to this place but if your looking for something to bring joy to yourself or others then this is your place. We also have a plant , l have no clue what it is but i love our plant. shes in the pic.. Just go take a look and if you feel like it dig through the plates and pots that arent/are for sale , be pushy if you want it , thats how we got ours for our plant. its a fun nice place .

Outstanding service! It was 3:30 PM on a Friday. I called three other floral places in Fargo-Moorhead looking for a late afternoon, last-minute delivery. All three said no. Not only was the floral arrangement simply stunning and completely unique, but Kimberlys attention to detail and care in ensuring that my needs were met went above and beyond what one normally gets when placing an online order. Kimberly also assisted me with arranging for a birthday cake from another local business and personally arranged pick up of the cake and then delivery of the floral arrangement and cake. Florist Kimberly Hess makes really great use of both wild flowers and cultivated flowers as well as grass, herbs, branches and whatever she finds around. I always ask her to make whatever she feels and am always amazed at what she comes up with. Heres the last arrangement I got from Prairie Petals.

We had Kim do our decorations and flowers for our wedding and she was amazing. I originally was going to do all of the decorating and flowers myself because I feared it was going to be super expensive. I decided to meet with Kim as I had gotten some recommendations to meet with her. After meeting with her and hearing all her ideas and plans for decorating we decided to book her. She was very reasonably priced and willing to work within a budget. She did a fantastic job on our flowers especially my bridal bouquet! She did amazing outdoor decorations for our ceremony that were able to be used for the reception as well. She was very organized and timely. She was so unique and full of great ideas that we never would have thought of! She takes the time to get to know you and your soon to be husband and creates a whole story from there. I have a family of farmers and hunters and she used deer sheds in the decorations and they were amazing!! She used some of the decorations I had already bought for the wedding and incorporated them into her decorations. She was truly amazing and I would recommend her to anybody looking for some beautiful unique flowers and decorations for their special day!

Kim and her staff are wonderful and were very diligent to make sure the flowers got delivered to a friend. They went back 3 or 4 times to make sure they would be delivered, due to her being in ICU they were turned away each time. They kept the flowers at the shop and kept trying until they were able to deliver them. Such wonderful customer service. So refreshing to have such great customer care.

We got our wedding boutonnieres and corsages from Prairie Petals and were very pleased with how they turned out. Kim was quite helpful and gave great suggestions! I love that she sent me an email the day before the wedding saying that the flowers were done and ready for pick-up.

I had Prairie Petals do my wedding flowers. I wanted wildflowers and I think they did a beautiful job of creating the look I wanted. They took time to consult with me and tried to get a good idea about what I liked and what would look good with the rest of my wedding plans. They also came to the reception venue to put flowers on the cake, which looked lovely.

Kimberly far and away exceeded our expectations. She took the time to sit down with both me and my husband for over an hour to understand what we wanted for our flowers and centerpieces for our big day. She delievered! I was looking for a house plant, and I had gone to a couple big box garden centers, and felt completely ignored. I had questions and no one wanted to help me out. Kimberly gave me advice after hearing my wants and needs and suggested a few options for my situation. I was very happy with the personal touch she gave me and was very happy with the options I ended up choosing. I was very happy with my total experience.

We love Kim. She went above and beyond for our wedding out at Rustic Oaks on 9-9-18. We had no idea what we were doing, plus we planned the whole thing in 3 months, but she helped us figure everything out. We were on a tight budget, but she made everything look so beautiful. We went very simple with babys breath and a few red roses. My bouquet was absolutely perfect! Anything more wouldve been too much. We wouldve been lost without her. She busted her butt for us.

I cannot explain how much I love Prarie Petals. Their flower bouquets are unique and interesting. Even better, they last longer than bouquets I’ve received from other places. My favorite flower shop by far.

I had a GREAT experience with Prairie Petals for my wedding. Everything was so beautiful! We had a main consultation about 9 months before my wedding and we were there for over two hours. We talked about everything and Kim had so many ideas for us, some had nothing to do with flowers she was so full of ideas and just wanted to let us know. We did another meeting a few weeks before the wedding to finalize everything and that also was a long meeting, but again very helpful.Our flowers on our wedding day were so beautiful, I cant even describe it. So many people were telling us how gorgeous they were, one of my bridesmaids even said they were like a work of art! She let us use her mason jars free of charge, thought of a candle idea using a fuel cell and grain that was adorable, and she decorated the church and took it all down for us. Everything was great and everyone was super helpful, I would recommend them to anyone!

So I always look at the previous reviews before writing my own, just to see. I cannot speak for what they had going on, but Kim was amazing! We talked to her several months before our wedding, because we knew it would take time to arrange everything. At our first consolation she asked a ton of questions, most of which we hadnt even thought about! She made recommendations, but ultimately made sure we got what we were asking for. She even would draw up a diagram to show what each part would look like! Alway friendly and courteous. She kept in contact via email, though she does get busy and it wasnt an immediate response. There were some minor hiccups, but honestly were all human. Plus she went above and beyond to fix any problem! Any occasion, I would recommend here but also come with something in mind. That, or be open to suggestions. She really knows her stuff!

We would not recommend Prairie Petals to anyone getting married. The flowers we got were nice, only we got them at the very last minute because the day of our wedding we found out they completely forgot about our order. They scrambled to put something together at the last minute and my wife didnt get the bouquet she wanted, not to mention the flower girl basket had thorns on it. They did give us a partial refund, which shrank significantly because we were unable to return two vases, one which we lost (hey, a lot going on that day) and one we didnt know they put at the church. In all fairness, they made every effort to correct the error and didnt made excuses about forgetting, but it was just not the experience we wanted on our wedding day.

They made a beautiful arrangement for my girlfriends birthday and even sent me a picture when it was dropped off. Very easy and painless process. Would do business with again.

I stopped in at on the spur of the moment to grab my fiancée some wedding shower flowers. The owner, who was in the middle of sewing, graciously (though not obsequiously, which I find uncomfortable) accommodated my request. On reflection, I rather barged in. The owner inquired as to wedding colors, flower preferences, etcetera, and provided an extremely well-mannered thing.

Kimberly came 2 days in a row with flowers and puzzles and was my family stand in really while I was healing from major blood loss. She went and got me gifts on her own time to show human kindness, when family was to far away to be by my side. This woman makes me proud to be a woman. Look at her hands. I had called about Prairie Petals doing my wedding flowers. First off they didnt seem very nice on the phone. They were very busy at the time and said they couldnt get me into sit down and have a consultation until three weeks from the date. I wanted to do my wedding flowers badly and so I waited. When I showed up three weeks later for my appt. they did not have my name down or even remember speaking with me on the phone. All the lady said was Im sorry she isnt even here so well have her call you and that was it. It has been three days now I have heard nothing. Wouldnt recommend them. It shows poor communication, organization, and professionalism. I was extremely disappointed after being recommended to go here. It makes me question if theyd even have my flowers done for my wedding.

My sister was in the hospital, with family far away (and no gift shop in the hospital). I messaged Kimberly asking her if I could have some flowers delivered, and that with no family nearby, she was definitely stir crazy. I asked if she had any books, magazines, color books, crossword puzzles, etc. And that it would definitely help my sister pass the time, during her hospital stay in Fargo.Kimberly messaged me, and called me as soon as she received my message. She was incredibly kind, and offered to not only deliver flowers, but also said she would deliver the additional items requested.Kimberly called me right after delivering items to my sister, and my sister was so incredibly excited to receive the items. But more importantly, my sister said Kimberly felt like family, and that Kimberly sat and chatted with my sister for 20-30 mins. Which my sister sooooo appreciated.While in the hospital, it is so important to a patients healing process, for them to know that they have family and a community that is there for them, every step of the way.Kimberly, you have gone above and beyond, with your kindness, and going the extra mile to deliver not only flowers, magazines, crosswords, etc....but also provided genuine human compassion and friendship, that brings peace and a sense of ease, to all who have been worried and concerned about my sisters well being.Our family is sincerely and humbly grateful, for you, and all that you are and do!

Kim did my wedding flowers and she NAILED it! I don’t know much about flowers except that i like them and she sat me down and really picked my brain until she knew exactly what i wanted. She asked questions I didn’t even know i needed answers to. I ended up with 4 beautiful arrangements to honor or grandparents, 7 lovely bouquets (i think i audibly squeeled when i saw them...) a ton of boutonnières for the gentlemen, and three perfect corsages for the ladies. I felt the price was great for what i was getting (peonie$ and lilac$ in march in north dakota). I am so happy i wandered into Kim’s shop when i noticed it while we were at a different shop. She did a beautiful job and i strongly recommend her!And she has a very sweet dog. That earns a sixth star.

Went there today, she just wanted to know how much I wanted to spend, I told her $40. She put together a flower arrangement, I could of done better myself and of course charged me $40. I was embarrassed to give it for a BD present. Went and bought a different arrangement. Never again I will go back!

Ive had them make flower arrangements for the last two Mothers and Valentines days, and every time they have impressed me. Rather than just asking what flower you would like twelve of, they ask for clues about the recipients personality, likes, and dislikes, and then individually craft an arrangement for them. The results are fantastic, and personal, and never fail to elicit a big smile. Not to mention, if you promise to bring the vase back so it can be reused, they wont charge you anything for it, a discount thats both Earth-friendly and clutter-fighting.
