There are a lot of pretty awesome coffee shops in Fargo, and Red River Coffee manages to be very different from most all of them. This is not necessarily a good thing. It’s kind of like, Red River Coffee can’t decide if they want to be a coffee shop or a Hallmark store.I just can’t completely buy into it. Half of the inside of the shop is dedicated to shelves and tables full of little knick knacks and house decorations and other, but it’s not really even as cool as some of the stuff you find in an actual Hallmark store. It’s almost likely really low grade cheap stuff to keep everything stocked. Maybe more like a higher brow garage sale? Not to say there aren’t some good things; however, overall it really lacks desire.And the coffee, it’s alright. Nothing to holler over. They do have a drivethru which can be very convenient. But honestly, with all the other great coffee joints elsewhere in town, I’d pick to go to a different place 19/20 times even though this is by far the closest one to my parents’ house. I don’t know man- if you love Hallmark and coffee then maybe this is the place for you, but it just doesn’t jive completely with me.

Had a egg and sausage muffin and this delicious frappe. Service was quick, staff was friendly and patient. The flavors were much more satisfying and delicious than Starbucks and Caribou, in my opinion. Definitely will stop by here again!

The best baked goods and homemade lunch...breakfast sandwiches. Their homemade oatmeal is yummy. Even the ice cream is great!

Amazing, tasty, and overall welcoming place, which Im saddened to be missing out on before.It has been a while since EVERYTHING I ordered was THAT tasty! Helpful and friendly staff, and should I mention, awesome local merch ;)The only downside is a slightly confusing and difficult to figure out menu, especially for a first time visitor. But I wish this place nothing but prosperity and success!

I love RRC! Its become a staple for me. I live close by, and really enjoy going there. Every time i go there, everyone is so nice and friendly. Coffee is amazing and is such a good price for what you get. The bakery items are amazing as well. 100% recommend going here over Starbucks or caribou. support those small businesses :)

This place was fantastic! Its down the street from my sisters apartment, perfect for a morning walk and breakfast.The cashier was helpful and friendly, helped make me feel back at home in ND. (I live in NE, and ND nice is similar to NE nice, but not quite the same. It might be the accent. )Everything we ordered came out perfect and delicious. I had to get donuts to go, and they didnt last long!I plan on visiting again on our next trip home to the motherland!

Stopped in on a Saturday around 1130. Walked around a few minutes looking at all the nice gift ideas. Spent some time looking at the T-shirts because my daughter collects coffee shop T-shirts. Then went up to the counter to order. Stood there a minute or two, step to the right and eyed the cold drinks -decided to just get a water. Stepped to the left and stood at the counter again. Gal was still on her phone. Moved a bit more to the left again and debated on the sugar cookies or monster cookies. After a minute, decided on the monster cookies. Waited a bit longer as the girl continued to be busy with her phone… Turned and went to walk away. 3 feet out, someone said “hi can I help you.” I didn’t stay. Loss in sales of at least $15 -over 30 if I had decide to get the T-shirt.

Yummy food and drinks! Best service around. I love browsing through the boutique while waiting for my food. Ive found many unique gifts for friends and family! Such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Stop in if youre on the south side of Fargo!

One of my favorite coffee places in Fargo. Fantastic drinks and homemade donuts. Donuts are 50% off after 3pm everyday so definitely take advantage! This is a great place to study or to hang out with friends. Adorable boutique also located within the shop that features products from local vendors.

This is the absolute best coffee shop in Fargo. The homemade kugen is the best I have ever had! Ordered 3 for 4th of July, and they are so amazing, I ordered 4 more this week. You can freeze them too. Everyone that works there is so nice and helpful. Break away from the big chain coffee and have a coffee break at Red River Coffee.

Nice staff. Setting was cluttered with merchandise. Due to closeness of seating I could overhear the conversations of others while attempting to focus on the conversation I was in. Coffee was acceptable but nothing to set it apart from numerous other coffee shops. Nothing negative about my experience, just nothing special.

I just discovered this gem. Its located at a part of town I typically dont visit, but this summer I will visit probably every day! The lattes are magnificent. At other chain coffee shops, I typically dont finish the entire cup because of the dreggs at the bottom, but every sip of their lattes are AMAZING. Also, their caramel rolls are divine. They also play oldies music, like Frank Sinatra and the like. I feel classy and special just walking into this colorful, bright cafe. I cant recommend it enough!

A nice little place to kill some time. I only had a cold brew but it it was very good and I enjoyed being able to hang out on the couches by the fireplace.

I never write reviews but I just had to for this place. I was amazed by the coffee selection, the donut selection and the oatmeal breakfast! Over 30 kinds of coffee beans to pick from and fresh donuts in the morning. They were even open at 6 am on a Sunday! This makes me wish I lived in Fargo ND.

The coffee is really good. The servers are some of the most friendly and kind people that Ive seen in the food service business! It feels very comfortable and peaceful sitting inside.

They have MUCH, MUCH more than coffee. Tea, sodas, pre-made carryout snacks, gifts, tables to sit at and bring your laptop or to meet up with a group. Fun, bright atmosphere. I bought the taco dip and chips to eat at home and it was convenient and delish.

Great crew, house made desserts and grab and gos! And...kuchen! Get the house roast coffee. Very smooth and delicious. I will return.

Okay... this rating doesnt make sense, but the staff was so nice, the service so fast, that theyd get a 3.5 if there was one... they dont get a 5 because after having it made twice... the coffee was so bad I didnt drink it. And I have drank MJB in a crisis!

If you are a fru fru coffee lover this is the place for you. Colorful walls great pictures and things to buy. They have the worst expresso I have ever had. They do have different flavors of beans... So again if you are an avid coffee drinker you will be disappointed. The only reason I rate it 2 stars is because they have a nice environment.
