Super knowledgeable and welcoming. They don’t do super delicate work, especially on vintage instruments, but they made sure so send me home with some good referrals. For the location they have a good selection and fair pricing. Around here you either have to pay a little more out of pocket or learn to do it yourself. Not to mention, they do qualify work! Thanks, guys.

Man...I thought the Bridgeton store was bad, but Fairview Heights really blew me away. It looked like a ghost town. Not sure if they are going out of business, but they sure couldnt give a sh## about helping thier customers. They have simply given up. On top of that, 3 used guitars, 5 used amps, a few used basses. I remember when Guitar Center was the place to be. I could spend hours in there checking out all the killer gear. Hardly any new gear. Empty spaces everywhere. Sad, sad, day. I guess its time to wrap it up guys. Looks like brick and mortar is dead. Farewell good ole days, farewell

Although this Guitar Center is a bit on the small side, they offer a decent selection of instruments including guitars, basses, keyboards, drums, mics and accessories, along with several different brands of amplifiers. They sell both new and used equipment, and also provide instrument instruction, tune-ups, mods and repairs. I have purchased 2 guitars, 2 combo amps, and several pedals from this location. The 3-star rating is due to the staff. Some have been great, while a few have been very disappointing. The prices are competitive. But as always, the best part is that they will let you try out almost any product in the store. But be careful what you pick up to play! I purchased a beautiful and expensive Gibson Les Paul on a day I went in only to buy some guitar picks and strings. After playing it, my hands and my ears simply would not allow me to leave the store without buying it!

Huge shoutout to Daniel that helped me yesterday in the Drum Department. Incredible customer service and even more incredible people.I went into the Fairview Heights location in search of a mic stand and walked out with the most gorgeous drumset I have ever owned. I’ve been playing for 16 years and I was surprised with how knowledgeable Daniel was in the drum department. He gave me some good tips on how to improve my sound and was super patient when looking at my trade in equipment. Yesterday was probably the best service I’ve had at a Guitar Center. Daniel even helped me load my set in my car after I had purchased it.You guys made a lifetime customer.*EHEM* Daniel probably deserves a raise *end cough*

So I came across the idea I should get a harmonica. So very excited to start learning something new so I went down there because after calling a few people Guitar Center was the only want who had them in stock. The girl at the front immediately pointed me to where I need to go and boom, found it. Took it to check out and guy in his late 30s offered to ring me up, still all good. Then as Im checking out he starts asking me for information like my name, then my email, and then my home address. I said Id decline from giving him that information to which he said I had to give it to him if I wanted to make a purchase. I say Ive always been able to decline and he says thats not how it worked there. He said it was because if I didnt pay then they wouldnt be stuck with the bill. Well then my card will decline and I cant make the sale....pretty simple. I was kinda shocked that he was pushing the issue so long. I eventually had to say that if he didnt accept my card then Id just take my business somewhere else. He finally get frustrated with me being stubborn and decides to finally move on. Whats your telephone number? I give a slight chuckle in disbelief that he would ask me that after I said no to my address and say I didnt want to give that either. After giving me a condescending look he just sarcastically accepted my form of payment, I swiped my card, put in my pin, and boom. Transaction completed. So I took it and left.Anytime Ive ever been asked for my personal information I just decline and theyre fine, onto the transaction. I felt a little insulted at his condescending tone and disregard for my personal privacy. After that I feel like I should just drive the extra 20 minutes just so I dont have to be talked down to .

Good customer service when we went back. A different employee sold my husband the wrong pedal for his amp earlier that day. Even though the sale was over they honored the price. Ended up well.
