The manager of the place (Ronnie or Robbie) is so personable! I love his attitude and the way he chit chats with customers. He’s the main reason I keep coming back!

I honestly havent went to my appointment yet. My concern is when I called Monro ( fairmont wv) I got 2 different quotes on a putting MY new tires I purchased myself. My question is to the company responders are. Do eat mechanic have different prices. Or is it a company based price for putting tires on your vehicle .???

Staff was nice. Experiance was just a bit odd. We had an appointment for an oil change at 10am this morning. We took the car, were told theyd call us, and went home. We waiting and waited and waited...around 5pm we got suspicious And drove up there. The guy said its been done for hours and his assistant forgot to call. He took 10 dollars off our total which was nice. But it was still over $70... then we found a dirty rag in my car

A Fine staff of people work there.I went there in desperation and in major rush. These guys took me in and fixed my problem and in the end , just said Have a nice day. No charge, just Have a nice day. WOW

I cant say enough good things about the staff and service. Last month, my wife and I were traveling from Charlotte, NC to Buffalo, NY for a funeral service. On Saturday we drove through the night, something we have done incident free for years when visiting. However, at about midnight, we hit one the infamous I-79 potholes near mile marker 137. Luckily we were approaching an exit and were able to get off the interstate quickly. I changed the front tire with the donut spare, and hesitantly, got a hotel around the corner. My wife looked up repairs shops open on Sunday. Monroe Auto Service in Fairmont seemed like the only one open. A lack of choice usually isnt good. In this case it was a blessing. Manager, Ron, and his staff treated us like gold. We got there right when they opened at 9:00am. Although they had plenty of appointments and walk up customers, they were able to fit us in. Our repair was quick, the explanation on what we needed was thorough, and the price was fantastic! Although it sounds like an exaggeration, but I wish I could bring the whole shop and staff back to Charlotte for my own in town. They were that great! Thank you Ron for making our disaster in the middle of the night turn into one where we felt safe to get back on the road and to our destination without worry! I would highly recommend Ron, his staff, and Monroe Auto Service for a one time repair or routine maintenance. As bad as the blow out was at that time of night, it couldnt have happened in a better location! Thank you again Ron!

I went in to get my car looked at for overheating, they found out I need a new cooling system. I called and they said I needed a new radiator too. I paid almost $800 for it and when I asked if I could bring in a part they said no, but that’s not the problem. Ever since I got home yesterday my car hasn’t been wanting to catch whenever I push on the gas and my headlight is out. I’ve never ever had a problem with that happening before I went in. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Great work and customer service! Called early Saturday morning and Ronnie (the manager) got me in around 1! Needed something done quickly to our vehicle and it got taken care of without hesitation. Service is a lost art today and Ronnie at Monro has found it and lives it. My wife and I had a blowout on Route 79 in our RV and he and his team came to our aide in spite of being up to their eyeballs in work on a Saturday. Enough said, Ronnie and Monro Auto are the best!

Paid in cash for new tires, counted out money infront of the older guy behind the counter, he took the money, wrote down the DOT number for the tires, counted the money and was a hundred dollar bill short, nothing I could do but hand him another hundred. Didnt get any change back said they didnt have any, they put 3 white walls out and one white wall in. Pathetic pieces of low life scum here. Do not go here

The price for the part cost more than I could get it online. At the time I wasnt able to get it myself so had to settle for going to a place like this to get my wheel bearing fixed. Maybe you should explore cheaper options to help out your customers.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I usually do my own work and Monro in Fairmont are the only guys I would trust. Specifically Darrel, he is a straight shooter who doesnt try to up-sell you or pull any greasy moves like most mechanics will. He has serviced my car twice, and as long as he works there he will be my mechanic. He also truly does go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. Monro if you are reading this that man needs a raise!

Great workers. Pretty fast service too! Need a wheel bearing pretty fast on a weekend. Everyone was closed, and I really needed some help. Monroe Muffler was there. The guys treated me with respect. (Im a girl) So after finishing putting in my axle, I somehow popped that wheel bearing putting on my axle nut.... they immediately took me in at 5pm, and got it fixed that evening and I had it back to me by 11am the next morning. Since they open at 9am, I was pretty impressed with their speed. Everything is working great, and I would recommend this shop to most that need fast help. Thanks guys! You rock!

This crew at this location were awesome! I was headed home to Ohio from Maryland and ended up with a nail in my tire. Decent prices but making an appointment doesnt help you get in or out any faster! A simple oil change on my truck took1 hour and 40 minutes. The only positive thing about my visit was my service technician Kathleen! She was fast, knowledgeable, and gave very pleasant customer service! I highly recommend her as a technician. ☆☆☆☆

We are from New Jersey and our car broke down in Fairmont on our way to Charleston. Thankfully, we were about 10 minutes from this shop and managed to get our car towed there. Also as it was the Fourth of July, we were so lucky to have found a shop that was open. We couldn’t be more thankful for the level of professionalism and compassion that we were met with. Unbeatable. Not only did they show to us and explain EXACTLY what the issue was with our car, they also worked and were able to resolve the problem in a timely manner. We are so lucky to have been so close to this shop and so happy that they were able to help us out.

These guys here were AWESOME!!!!! I had bent my rim and busted my tire from jumping a sidewalk (with some cosmetic damage also.) they were able to not only fix my steel rim but got me tire and the cost of labor at $250. Price ehh more then I hoped for but my cars purrs just like it did before I jumped that sidewalk and the tire sensor still works so that’s an added plus. Thank you guys I appreciate the work that was done!

After trying at the dealership first and having horrible customer service I took it here. They really took great care of me and got my car fixed quickly.

Brought my friends in from Canada that had some brake issues and they fit them in despite being slammed. They had to get home and it was their last day. Always fast, courteous and professional and most reasonable prices. Tim the manager is awesome.

I had an amazing experience at Monroe today. Every employee were welcoming and made me feel right at home. They found the solutions to my auto repair issues and easily explained and helped to the best of their abilities. Being recently out of college I was weary about coming to a garage because of past experiences.. and being a female I was even more weary. But they did an amazing job with my vehicle and replaced my belt and I got new tires and breaks at a great deal. Super friendly employees and the best deal in town. They saved my car and made me feel like they genuinely cared about my car and safety. The manager Aaron was wonderful and I highly recommend this garage to anyone looking for great service and price!

I am so thankful to the staff at Monroe tire and auto! My rear fender was damaged by debris while traveling near Fairmont on the interstate. Being out of town, I was relieved when I was told to bring my car in and they would look at it right away. They repaired my car and within one hour, I was safely driving and able to continue my trip. I really appreciated their excellent customer service and willingness to help. Anyone in Fairmont, or traveling thru, should trust them to help you. Thanks again!

Been here several times, was happy when they sold my tires got them for a good price. Young kid thats works there tightened my lug nuts using a 3 foot breaker bar. I could not get them off using a impact gun turned all the way up. They are full service but do not appear to have trained staff. I would say they have good prices but I wouldnt trust their work

By far the best most relaxed experience I’ve had with an automotive service center. Today’s visit was just as friendly as the first a few months ago. Was treated more like a friend / family rather than just another customer and the mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Don’t change a thing and I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Im always surprised here. I needed an oil change. A quick Google and I wound up with an Air Filter for the engine, a safety sticker, tires rotated balanced and correct air pressure, oil, filter and wiper blades, a new bulb for the license plate light-installed- plus coupons for a friend who only needed an oil change. My bill came in under $30.00 taxes included. They have a $19.99 special for oil changes which hasnt gotten outdated or expired for about two or three years. I even had coupons that the staff couldnt believe! Check them out!!

Very nice gentleman helped me. I came for a tire rotation he told me my tires were too worn. I bought them at a different location. Still under warranty his shop put on 4 new tires.

Let me list everywhere I took my car before coming here to figure out the issue. In and Out Tire, Ervins of Morgantown, Gwynn, MCS, and 2 out of home mechanics. Non of them could fix it.Finally went to Monroe in Fairmont, and my car is FINALLY FIXED. Ive honestly not met a more determined mechanic and crew. Very professional, friendly and reasonably priced, especially for the service. Wheel bearing* replacement only took about 2 hours, if that. Thank you so much!

Brought my car to Monro to look at my Chevy Cobalt after spending over a grand on it in hopes of fixing things that I thought would fix the problem. They are the first place that makes me feel at ease when it comes to pricing and parts where I’ve been screwed over several times. Hands down, the most honest work from some amazing hard workers I’ve ever seen. Kind and understanding bunch of guys! Thanks to Ivan and his supervisor for taking care of me!

Daryl did my oil change and tire rotation and was very nice and explained everything he did with the car (how much oil, how much tread was left on my tires, what condition the breaks were in). Most people try to over sell you stuff but they didnt. Zach (I believe) is the new manager and checked me out. He was very personable and nice.

My car was in need of an alignment in the worst way possible. This place was within walking distance so I took it there. They aligned the right tire which was way off but then had my left tire sticking out an extra inch or so. I took it to Gwen’s after that. They said it was a simple adjustment. Monro’s has gotten my last dollar.

Needed them to look over my car. They only looked over the front end and couldnt find where the noise was coming from. They also didnt even look at my brakes. I wouldnt go back since I had to go to two other mechanics and they could diagnose my car better. There were atleast three things wrong with my car that I could tell and they didnt find anything.

I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but in this case I needed too. I took my SUV in for front brakes the other day because it was so cold outside that I didn’t feel like doing the work myself. Thank God I did. In addition to needing brakes, I had a nasty thumping noise coming from the front passenger side wheel. To be honest I thought it was a CV joint going bad as the wheel bearing had been replaced 4 weeks ago at another shop.I asked the gentleman at the counter it they could look at the CV and see if there was a problem. A few minutes later they ask me to come into the garage to show me that they had found the source of the noise. It turns out that the noise was coming from the wheel bearing that had just been replaced. In fact, the wheel was so loose that everyone was surprised that it hadn’t come off while I was driving down the highway that morning. As I live in Morgantown, which is 40 minutes away, I needed the vehicle to get back home that night. The guys at the shop told me that they couldn’t in good conscience let me drive home in a vehicle that unsafe. Instead of trying to schedule the work for the next day they got to work on it right away even though it was close to 6pm at this point and they were closing in an hour.Unfortunately, the further in they went the more damage they found as a result of the incorrect installation of the wheel bearing by the other shop. It turns out that an axle nut had been cross threaded and not torqued to the proper poundage. The nut had become extremely loose and the resulting damage required them to replace not only the wheel bearing but also the rotor, and the entire axle assembly. It took two trips to the parts store and two mechanics working until 9pm to get my vehicle back together.To say that the guys went above and beyond in this case is an understatement. The fact that they took time out of their own evening to make sure that I was able to drive home safely showed me that they are not only really good mechanics but also really good people.If you’re looking for an auto shop that will treat you right in the Fairmont area, this is the place to take your vehicle. I know I will be from now on.

Went in needing some tires mounted and their technicians were fast and friendly, Luke and I think Ivan did a great job. Their manager was even pretty awesome. Its a great place will definitely come in again.

We came here after an invitation from this store because the one on the mileground was 45 minutes late in opening and then after having the 8 o clock appointment they bumped TWO MEN ahead of us buying tires. But Fairmont Monroe was very efficient and courteous

Gave me a great deal on tires after the initial tires that they were going to get me were back-ordered. Installation was quick and was back on the road in no time. Only had minor issues and communication needs to improve a small bit, but overall Im satisfied with the service. Definitely would recommend and go to this location again.

I will never bring my car here again. I used to bring the car in every time I needed an oil change. Then my water pump went, and I brought it to Monro to get it fixed. I ended up getting my water pump, thermostat, and radiator sensor fixed. This cost me $900. Took the car to the dealer shop because things still were not working right. The water pump they put in was not right, so that needed replaced again, and the radiator sensor they did not even fix or replace, they zip tied the broken one back in place. $900 at Monro, and another $2200 at the dealer shop. Not. Happy.UPDATE: I am getting so disgusted with this company. I spoke with Theresa on the phone, and she had me email her about the repairs with photos, then she never calls me back. I have tried calling her several times, and she does not call me back.

We were traveling to Pittsburgh when we ran what lools to be a piece of gear or some type of metal through the tire tread. I called them in hopes they could get us in and send us on our way asap. We had run flat tires so we could continue our drive to this shop and he seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. He communicated well about the damage and repair and I could tell he and the other guy (cant remember his name) wanted to do their best to make it work. They showed care with the car too when moving and working on it. We were quickly on our way. Good pricing and thank you all so much.

This group regularly cares for my vehicles. I choose the Fairmont location above all others because of the education level of the staff. These are real mechanics that know what they are doing. I highly recommend!

I am an employee at Monro in Fairmont the main reason that I am still at Monro is the customers and the local managment. The pay at Monro is not the best, the company for the most part tries to keep the pay as low as possible. When you help a customer by solving a problem that they are having makes it worth while. Came in on 1/16/2018 without an appointment to get my muffler system that was broken in half replaced. ~$250 later everything was fixed. Back in on 1/30/2018 because the new system came unattached from the converter. Monroe Muffle fixed the issue quickly and free of charge. They also apologized for the inconvenience. Great shop. I will be back in the future.

Told me 850 dollars for the parts got the parts at auto zone for 1/3 of the price. Paid them to do the work and none of the problems were fixed my parking break doesnt even work now. My car was in better shape before it went in then when it came out. Not to mention I dropped my car off at 9am and there were not done with it till 8pm.

Messed up my tire bent the rim was visiting from out of town. This place got me in and out the door with a new tire in less than 45 min. All of the employees were especially helpful and friendly. I believe a young man by the name of Zachary helped us and did an excellent job. This place saved our day and got us back on the road when no one else was open on a Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I was in last Wednesday for tire issues and the girl in the office was very helpful and efficient. She and Robbie were the only ones working and were still very quick and helped me with my tires. Thanks!

Overpriced and unprofessional work if you are going to pay for work pay for it at a quality and qualified shop. Stores claim to have certified techs most tech have no education and the work you could have the neighborhood wrench turner do the work at least the price will match the work. You maybe better off with the neighbors if they have pride in the quality of work they do.

15 minutes past appointment time and car was never even pulled into the bay. Gentleman next to us apparently waited 2 hours for some type of basic service. One technician is out back smoking when there is a lobby full of customers waiting to get their car serviced. On top of all of this, the man behind the desk had some less than flattering things to say to a female customer that came across as sexist. Absolutely hate this place.

I’ve had bad experiences in the past the but new management and workers are fantastic! Very friendly!! Good and affordable work done on my vehicle.

Customers are great employees are great. Just wish I was not talked down upon or talked down about. My was great never complained once when I first got here but here recently I work more hours and get paid less.. those are more corporate problems then shop problems.

I took my Jeep there for a alignment and inspection I use to be a mechanic and had my inspection license in PA they dident try to screw me over like most garages try to they were honest and prompt with the work the manager was friendly and got me in for the work on a Sunday on a moments notice great place great people great prices after talking with the new manager they are trying to rebuild the business and customer base would definitely recommend them to anyone

Although I got my rear brakes replaced in a semi-timely manor, the atmosphere was unpleasant. It hadnt rained in a few days and the lounge floor was gross. Out-dated magazines, gross-worn-out chairs, techs smoking in the shop near; basically inside your vehicle, the shop floor looked as if it wasnt swept in months, and the business lacks management to a critical level. One thing i suggest, clean the place and make your paying customers feel valued and convenienced.

RIPPED OFF Id never have been so disappointed in a service garage, my car is running rough so i had a tune up and i went to Monroe in Fairmont, well here it is again coding out with the engine light, so I take it to Hillside to have it looked at and find that Monroe had not changed the spark plugs and yet I was charged over 300.00 for this. Please dont go here and if you decide to be sure they are actually doing the work.

This place is by far the worst it has been. Went for an oil change/tire rotation/state inspection. Manager said cannot complete inspection because their tint machine is down and they cannot verify even stock tint -- so I said fine just do the oil and tires. Along with all employees smoking all around my truck, the oil change took well over 45 minutes. When finished I asked if they rotated my tires - which I already knew they did not because I watched. He informed me that they dont usually rotate them if the tread is even on all 4. I specifically asked for them to be rotated before winter. When I got my receipt I looked over the information and it said all my tires were checked and rotated and set at 35psi - my truck has an automatic tire system and they are set at 40 (which I did myself). Now I have to pay someone else to rotate my tires, complete my inspection, and probably double check that they did not screw up my oil change. Truck smells like smoke, have to love good service.

I was here around 6 months ago because I had a tired that was slowly leaking air. The gentleman had my car in the shop for like 20 minutes and swears it was leaking around the rim and he cleaned it and all was well. I should have questioned the fact that my wheel and tire were both dry and still slightly dirty. Paid cash as requested. Fast forward 2 days, still leaking. Take back into the shop and explain everything to the manager. The manager had my tire pulled and could see it was physically wet this time from checking for leaks. They found a screw in the tire. Got my tire fixed and my cash back. Wish I didnt have to make multiple trips and that original mechanic wasnt lazy, but it was fixed in the end.

The manager @ the fairmont monro does all he can to help his customers. He is very knowledgeable about cars, very kind, does what he can to give customers a good Deal!
