My husband and I (not mechanics at all) had the hardest week with our John Deere, that all of a sudden no longer wanted to move forward or backwards. After reviewing fixes online and YouTube master mechanics we decided this was a challenge that was way over our heads. I first want to say that when we called United Ag & Turf that we were not expecting much of anything but maybe an appointment and to watch our grass continue to grow over the summer. To our surprise, without even knowing our names, they were trying immediately to help over the phone and have us try a few things. Unfortunately, simple fixes were not in our future. As we held our heads low, we were saved by the Service Manager Marc. Not only did he get us in, the same day, on a Saturday but put Dana (30+ year mechanic on the task). Within moments they knew what to do and how to fix it and told us to come back in an hour. Now mind you, we are not some huge business but just a couple wanting to mow our yard and clean up some brush with no prior experience with United Ag & Turf. We left happy to have it fixed, while dreading what a bill for this would be on a Saturday with no appointment set. To our surprise we didnt have to take out a loan or live on ramen for the next year. They just charged for a simple hours labor and the parts. Not only did they fix our John Deere but they pressure washed the whole thing, leveled the mower deck and did a quick check through. Now remember how I said in the beginning that we are not mechanics? They could have told us we needed headlight fluid and we would have believed them. I appreciate how they took care of us and treated us like one of the family. You have a lifelong customer here!

One of the best places I’ve ever had work done! Had the pleasure of Halie as my service advisor. She was right on top of things. From the little mouse that chewed my wires to the crack in the transmission.Wires were no problem. Transmission on the other hand, well let’s just say she did all she could. The first new one was wrong. Then they didn’t send all that was needed for the second.. but she was right there answering all my questions and taking my frustration with a smile. Assuring me they were getting it done ASAP. If it wasn’t for her I don’t know if I would take my tractor back there.. she took the time to give me options on the repair. Understood that getting it back (on time) in working order was important.

My wife and I worked with Ryan M. from sales and he was over-the-top helpful. He got us into the machine that we needed without overselling or being pushy. He was knowledgeable, patient with us new farmers, had fast and easy communication, and even helped me coordinate an early delivery surprise. Whether you are a brand new tractor owner or a seasoned veteran, go to see Ryan and the crew at United Ag and Turf Northeast and you will be in good hands.

Cant even bother to answer their phones. Ive called several times to try and order a part and no one ever answers in the parts department.---No need to contact marketing. Its pretty cut and dry, Ive called several times at several different times of day while youre open. its obvious that this is part of your work flow business strategy. If you planned on routinely answering your phone I wouldnt get kicked back to the directory to try ringing through again, or asked to leave a voicemail during business hours. Its important for people to answer when you call. If I didnt want to talk to someone Id just order the part online.

As always, fast, friendly and knowledgeable parts staff. Second year in a row Brian happened to be the person to help me when picking up annual home service kit. Only this year added some new blades. See you again next year.

Nice people by the book that only gets you so far in life delivered here and made me wait their whole lunch break I unloaded the product for them all they had to do was read the bol and verify it wasnt damaged and the right model and vin manager couldnt do anything about it he wasnt trained to sign the papers or anyone else apparently,There is the hero of the day also😆

Called and spoke to sales about purchasing a piece of equipment. They couldnt even tell me if they could sell it to me. Had to call back and was told that they would get an answer to the problem and get back to me. No call back so I called back again and havent received any response. It may not have been a $100000 tractor but I think it deserves a little better customer service.

Bought a lawn tractor 5 years ago. Ive had nothing but trouble. The reason Im posting this is because the service is so horrible at Hammond. Even my wife cant stand it. They are arrogant, slow, not attentive to a customer who didnt buy a big expensive tractor. Id hoped it would change with United Ag but with the same people there, the place is still the same unfortunately. Good thing Wallingford equipment isnt far away!

I am a John Deere lover but when its time to trade it in they wont give you anything for it. When they sell used its almost retail. They dont want to deal . They want to make 10,000 of new product and 10,000 of your trade, I understand a profit...but I dont want to pay for the whole dealership.

Ive never met anyone so helpful at a supply store in my life. Jenny was the parts girl that tolk care of me she went above and beyond to to print out extra things that might be helpful for our tractor. They did have one part I needed and she tracked one down for me at a different store. Store is large clean lots of inventory. Great place. I wont go anywhere else again.

Called with questions about a tractor I picked up at an estate sale. Spoke with Austin who took the time to answer all my questions throughouly, got me my new tractor scheduled for service and made recommendations on items I should focus on to increase the life of my tractor. I dropped the tractor off a few days later. Quick in and out. Tractor was ready in the timeframe quoted. Will be using them again for all my tractor needs.

Visited last year while comparing pricing on something we were intending to purchase. Their prices were very good, but we got a much better deal with the company we usually buy from. I would not discourage anyone from going to Hammond Tractor because I think they offer a wide variety of outdoor equipment equipped to handle the many different jobs necessary over any time of the year. You should give them a try.

Their service and parts department is outstanding! Huge selection of in stock parts and special orders arrive in days. They are most accommodating in they will even ship parts as they arrive. Brian on the desk is a wealth of practical knowledge and shares great tips in making a job easier.

Awesome experience at Hammond Tractor.I have been dreaming of a JD tractor for years and Tim Covert helped make it happen! Very patient and willing to answer all of my questions. I looked at numerous 4 and 5 series tractors and ended up with 4044R. Tim was great at pointing out the differences btw models and helped sway me to the 4044R - very glad he did! I couldnt be happier with entire process from start to finish.Great company and will continue to be my only stop for tractor and power equipment needs.

John Deere. Enough said. UPDATE: I called to get a price on a carburetor and they quoted over twice what it can be purchased online for. Not aftermarket junk. Oem part. They wont price match so I am forced to go to a competitor. This makes me very unhappy. Everything Ive ever bought for this mower, including the mower brand new, Ive bought from them. Not counting gas and seafoam treatment. For the last 7 years Ive been a loyal customer. Also purchased chainsaw and weed whacker. Anyway, while I like to stay loyal, if they cant price match a competitor.........

Had to wait at parts counter for 20 minutes and do not carry kubota anymore Ill go else where.

Went there last night with a leaking hydraulic hose for my snow blower. Paid absolute top dollar for them to make me a replacement hose because they said they could not replace the leaking fitting. Having been sick for several days it was not worth my effort to run around to maybe save $20 or so and paid the $55. Problem was, that when I got home and tried to install the hydraulic hose they had put the wrong fitting on in spite of having supplied them the original. I would have given them a 4 star rating had they not wasted an hour and a half of my life driving in a snow storm this morning to take it back and get a new one made correctly. Sure, I got an aplolgy but no offer to refund any money or compensate me in any way. Not enthusiastic about going back again any time soon.

With a blizzard bearing down on us, Hammond showed up at 7:30 in the morning to put in a new super battery in our 14-yo Kubota, which had been trouble getting started on cold mornings. I wasnt looking forward to attacking 3-foot drifts the next day with the little tractor thats little more than a glorified lawn mower. The new battery was even 100 amp-hours MORE than the factory original it replaced - and then that baby started up like the car: immediately! And to have them come out at a time when most other area businesses and all schools were closing for the day, was just way beyond what one could expect. We bought tractor new from Hammond, and theyve always been there for us!

Dave has not let me down. He has no real obligation to pay for my parts that i need for the used tractor i bought from him 5 months ago.. But he is ! . he is even giveing me the parts i need that i said i would pay for.. Im not sure if he knows how much that helped me and my family. I dig clams and well decembers not a good time ... Ty very much

Purchased my 1025r tractor loader backhoe with 54 inch mower deck from Andy Mann awesome guy , no pressure just facts, about machine ,hammond delivered l love it ,come time for cab Andy Mann did all legwork ,came up with nice curtis cab,backhoe capable, heater,wiper, lights,sliding door windows,nice cab.love it .sales parts and service give them a big ten . I went to Hammond Tractor to get some help with my JohnDeere 4105 farm tractor that I bought at Greenway eguipment in Bangor Maine. When I arrived I was greeted with open arms. The sales department had stated to me that they had worked on Greenway equipment before. I told them about my situation,so Scott, the salesman took me to look at some JohnDeere tractors that would be a better fit for my business. Scott was a real good salesman, He told me everything that I needed to know about the machine, and more. It was an awesome experience. This is where it all goes down hill. I walked into the showroom and a man was saying, wheres this 4105, wheres this 4015. I said, I think your talking about my tractor. He said, where is it. I said that it wasnt here but I have pictures. He said, well lets see it. I tried to show him the tractor but he was making me nervous, so I mess up getting the pictures on my phone. He said, well let me know when you find them, He started to walk away and I said that I found them and he said let me see. He looked at the picture and said, I wouldnt even sell you one of my tractors. I couldnt believe what he had just said to me.Thats what I said to him also. I turned around and started walking out. He was trying to get me to come back, I just couldnt. I felt so low and useless. He was looking down his nose to me. Who does that. Who has the right to make a person feel belittled. He called me later on and apologized. At the same time he told me to stop calling his salesman. They had nothing to do with this and that they work for him. He then says that by the looks of the tractor I need a couple more skidders. That Farm tractor with a farmy winch is how I get on these wood lots.What the hell. He didnt even know the situation. Just so you all know a piece of ice fell out of the bucket and landed on the hood. I was insured. The man that made me feel like I was nothing was DAVE HAMMOND.
