Ive been really getting into magic the gathering lately and have been visiting a number of card shops. Mad Alpaca Games from a MTG perspective is really low on stock outside of bulk commons/uncommons. However, they seem to be really D&D focused with what seemed to be a decent selection in that regard. I also thought the staff was really friendly. I think they had a play area in the back room but I didnt really get to see it and it felt kind of hidden which I wasnt a fan of. Overall a 4 from me with the capacity for a 4.5 if they had better MTG stock.

These guys are always a great bunch. I regularly see Angelo running the front counter, who has always kept me up to date with obtaining any of the DC Deck Building game variants by Cryptozoic Entertainment for purchase to complete my collection. No matter what name change they go through, be it changing their name from Outflank Games before to Mad Alpaca games now to anything else they wish to call themselves in the future, the constants that still remain make any visit worth it. Many thanks to you guys for helping to make my stay in Fairfield fun!

My favorite game store. Super lovely crowd, good prices, and Angelo (owner) is just a lovely sweet guy. Good store for female gamers too, never had anyone be rude to me here.

This is a great store! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a good event schedule that always has something for you play or try out. Also the player groups for 40k, Age of sigmar, Star Wars Legion, and and other games, that go to this store have always been very friendly to very helpful to newer players and people who are interested into getting into the hobby.

Owner was an employer of the previous place, and now runs his own. Same 40k/Legion/Magic/DnD staples as most stores, but without the wasted space of funko pops. More board games, a couple niche tabletop ones. Owner was super nice too! 10% for military and I think first responders.Review update: this place is definitely worth your look. Owner is super great and really cares about his customers. Ill take MSRP over online discounts any day to support this local business.

I went in to look at some of the miniatures on the wall. I pick a few and go to the register and met with a guy saying he doesnt work at the store but hes close enough friends with the owner to run the register. Basically he was pretty obnoxious for no reason that I could understand, but what really annoyed me was when I told him I decided against one miniature he insisted that I purchase it anyways. He scans the miniature despite my objection and I tell him I really dont want that miniature pack any more, but Ill buy the rest. He retorts that he will only take it off if I walk back and put it back on the wall which actually made me pretty mad to hear this since I felt like I was being belittled now. I almost didnt post this because hobby shops like this are more rare these days, but decided maybe someone in charge can see it just in case they are not aware this is the type of customer service that may be happening in their store.

Pretty good variety of games here and they do provide a space for the peeps to play in the back. Seems to be pretty popular option too so that is good for the community to have a place were people can play games with the locals.
