I went in with a no knowledge on what I was looking for in my appliances but they have a sales guy who’s name I believe was Robert. Oh boy was he not the friendliest and knowledgeable guy I’ve ever met walked me through exactly what I should look at for what I wanted out of it. Will shop again.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator, and the salesman convinced me to purchase an Extended Protection Plan which costs around $200, and its very easy to cancel if you want to.Ive been trying over and over to cancel. First the Sears store told me that in order to cancel the protection plan I would need to contact Maytag directly. After 1.5 hours on hold at Maytag, they told me that I would need to contact Sears Home Warranty to cancel the plan. I called Sears Home Warranty, and they put me on hold for over 1.5 hours. The automated voice gave me a random PO Box to mail my cancellation request (which may be completed in 3-4 weeks).I wont be shopping with Sears again.

There is a reason for hometown stores. I have purchased all my appliances and outside yard equipment from this store. Hometown means every time I walk in they know my name. You wont find that courtesy at a big box store....ever! Beth is amazing. She can multi-task with everyone there and make you feel comfortable about waiting. She understands the products and takes time to filter your needs to find the right appliances. They literally make you feel like family. If you spend your money anywhere else, good luck getting ALL that customer service.

The gentleman working/owner is god sent! My father purchased a new dryer from a big box store and it didnt come with any leveling legs. The gentleman went to the bone yard and removed some from an old dryer. He saved the day! Keep shopping your small hometown stores

All our appliances we bought at Sears/Fairfield and we are totally happy with them and their service.: electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer/dryer, small freezer, reverse osmosis system, shop vac, and shark vacuum for the floors and carpets plus other items too numerous to mention. It is a great place to do business: their prices are more than fair and their sales people are knowledgeable and friendly. And they have great sales!!!

I had ordered a washer and dryer online and was picking up in Fairfield and my order got messed up due to an online rep that was in a hurry and didnt want to listen, eventually i had got it all figured out. Except for the delivery date. I called and spoke with Robert and he was very helpful and did everthing he could so i could still get the same delivery date. I was very impressed with the customer service that i had recieved from the employees! We will be going back if we need any other appliances!

Buyer beware!! No customer service after the sale. My very expensive SAMSUNG french door frig dead after 28 months. Smells like rotten meat and repair man has spent 4 service calls each timed at 2 weeks apart!! Dead for 2 months now with no end in sight. And Fairfield store has washed their hands to our problem!! ?? Really!! Sears used to have a good reputation. Selling inferior merchandise now with no helpful smiles at the store. Done with you guys!!!

No hard sell. Just appreciated transparency.I went in yesterday to look at a washer and dryer at my Sears Hometown. I met Robert Gilchrist - the Assistant Manager - who spent about an hour going over the various washer dryer sets. He did not TRY to sell me anything. By being informative and not forcing me to make a decision, he gained a customer.I came back today and bought the unit I decided was right for me. Robert handled all the paperwork quickly and efficiently.I would recommend adding this Sears Hometown store to your list if you are looking for appliances, outdoor machinery, sheds, tools, or some leftover Halloween candy 😬! I enjoyed my buying experience to be a return customer.
