I was referred to ABS by a local auto parts store. The owner took great care of me himself. Everyone was polite, quick and friendly. I had a somewhat unusual situation and they took my SUV right back, and fixed my problem and didn’t even charge me!! The technician gave me a clear description of the issue. It is a clean place with a nice waiting room and terrific, friendly, knowledgeable staff. If there we’re six stars I would have given them all six!

I just got an inspection here and the people were really trustworthy and from what I could tell from other customers there they were good at finding issues and really reasonable fixing them. Im a lady but my dad was a mechanic and I was in engineering in the navy so its painful for me to go to shops and know how deceitful theyre being to me because of how I look. This shop has none of that and I would definitely come back if I needed work done.

This was the first time I use ABS. I researched via online. They had great reviews. For the past 15 years, I have always used Pohanka Lexus / Chantilly for my maintenance needs. Lately, Lexus service managers are always trying to upsell additional services. I simply have lost trust in them providing accurate diagnosis. I decided to try a different auto repair service. Pohanka Lexus had quoted a price of $1360 for the same repair I just had completed at ABS for $560. Less than half price!! The entire team at ABS was extremely ethical, professional and the repair was timely.

I wanted to avoid previous experiences. Thus, I approached ABS after doing a lot of research in advance. I have to admit, I had a great experience.I had the joy of working with Charlie, the service advisor. I had thought the fan clutch needed to be replaced since the coolant temperature was running high. Charlie advised against the work, suggesting a wait and see attitude. He was right, the timing belt maintenance required the replacement of the coolant thermostat. That work seems to have solved the higher temperature problem.I am grateful that I’ve come across a place that I can trust. I would recommend ABS to other folks who are looking for a reputable auto shop.

Went for an oil change + inspection needed to be done. I had a lightbulb out and they wanted to charge me $400 to replace it (not exaggerating). Went to an auto parts store and it was $10 for a part plus took me 5 min to replace it myself. Guy at the auto parts store said its businesses like these that give good mechanics bad names. So theyll get the job done but youll get ripped off fyi

Took my Honda CR-V to ABS for a second opinion on some repairs that a Honda dealer said I needed. Turned out front brakes replacement was the only one that they recommended. The rest were either unnecessary or not immediately necessary. Everything about ABS impressed me, from the cleanliness of the garage and waiting room, to everyone who worked there. I got the impression that the techs genuinely care and enjoy working there. I can see why Christy is the backbone of ABS; she is knowledgeable, competent, and just a very nice human being. We need more people like her! ABS has a customer for life. Never going back to the Honda dealer. I told my daughter to take her Honda to ABS also.

Had leaking power steering fluid and they were able to diagnose over the phone and give a rough estimate. Additional work was required to do the job but final total cost still much less than half of what the dealer estimated. Seems to be trustworthy and like supporting local small business. Probably the best customer service I have ever received getting my car fixed. They didnt over charge me. Could have easily lied about what the issue was but were very honest. They made me feel like I made the right choice to go here every step of the way. Inspection, oil change, and check engine light reset.

Frankly speaking I choose to go to ABS Unlimited Auto Repair because of Google Review and Yelp feedback. Due to the covid19, I contacted the workshop by email and Tim was very responsive and managed to give an estimated quotation and it was a reasonable cost. The staff are warm and friendly. It feels more like family business rather than a big company. They also gave a labor discount which I appreciated it so much. So far I am happy with the results, nothing to complain so far.

ABS Unlimited Auto Repair is the best auto repair shop in Fairfax! The mechanics do excellent work and can fix anything! They are reasonable and fair and always give a labor discount. ABS is old school. Unlike the overpriced dealerships, ABS works on older cars with no problem and they give them the same attention as newer cars. ABS will also hook you up and provide recommendations for good local shops that can provide specialized work such as autobody repairs, auto upholstery, etc. Every time I ask them for a referral I am totally pleased with the shops they refer me too. I love the great staff at ABS too - everyone is so friendly and laid back! As I said before, ABS is old school! They do all the work on our two old cars and a pickup and they keep them on the road. You can trust their work and any recommendations they make for what your vehicle needs. I will never go elsewhere!

Ive been dealing with ABS for years, and this is the ONLY shop I recommend to friends. Strictly professional, no hidden costs, no surprises. They always call before proceeding and discuss all of the issues and all of the options. This wasnt my experience with other shops.My most recent experience with ABS was for work on the power steering assembly. It got complicated because they ran into an issue with work previously done at a dealership for a factory recall involving parts that had failed again in the same assembly.Not only did they go to bat for me with the dealership and get the failed parts covered under warranty, they handed me a bill substantially under the original estimate. Once again, Im happy to have found them.I want to mention that everyone Ive referred there has come away happy as well.

When I was visiting this shop for regular state inspection, I was able to ask the estimate for four tires installation including balance & mount, also wheel alignment for my 2011 535i. The estimate was reasonable for me, good price than any other places at least with my research.After tire installation and wheel alignment done. I drove on the road,However, I clearly noticed the steering wheel was bit off set to left about -1° . I went back to the shop and explained. then the mechanic took my car back and adjusted something which I dont know what he did. He was so quick to do this. And he just told me this type of electronic steering is sometime hard to set the center of the steering.Anyway, that was not a big deal at the point.After couple of weeks later, I noticed car starts to shake at 55+ mph even on very smooth paved road. I got new tires, new balanced and alignment. But it shakes and bothers me too much.With my research, I though it was possible the brake rotor or pad issue since it was time to replace anyway.So I went to other Euro shop for the brake and mentioned the shaking. We thought its from wheel bearings damaged. I confirmed to replace the wheel bearing if needed.After long time diagnose, All 4 tires were all bad balancing.This was possible issue when I noticed very early when it started shaking. Right after I found the shaking, I went to dealership right away but dealership asked me for $100 for re-balancing them. So I skipped to do it, also I didnt want to believe it was bad balances because I just have done it.However, today we found it while doing the brakes, and all of them were the failed balances.I dont know if they found the wheel specification with VIN, but 5 series has few more options for performance, such as front and rear tires are two different sizes.I dont blame this shop. But the mechanic who installed and mounted my tires was not good as any other ones. Because of...1) steering wheel was not corrected after wheel alignment.2) tire balances were not corrected - heavy shaking at 60+ mph3) found scratches from wheels (while alignment kit attached)4) found scratches from hub caps (probably he didnt know how to remove them)I have alignment record for before & after, I might need the wheel alignment again for better result.1 stars is still too much, but its okay because I decided this shop at my fault.

Thank you, Charlie and your ABS team! My car wasn’t starting and I had to get my battery replaced as well as other things. I also had a seatbelt buckle issue which we figured I’d have to have the manufacturer look into but was pleasantly surprised when I got my car back, my seatbelt was fixed at no additional expense to me! I was touched by this surprise fix (they didn’t even mention it when I picked up the car). You all saved me a trip to my dealership and prevented me from spending more money! ABS folks are humble, hard working and have great attention to detail. Highly recommend them and definitely returning if I have anymore car issues!

They did a great job figuring out my power steering issue that had an unusual problem and fixed it at reasonable cost. I had already flushed the fluid and put in a new reservoir so I knew what it couldnt be but they found a faulty o-ring and after that fix things were much better. They gave me an option to spend a lot more to also get a whole new power steering pump but couldnt guarantee it would make things that much better and I appreciated their honesty. I certainly knew that it was possible the pump could be bad with it running under low pressure.

I found ABS through AAA. They were recommended by AAA & had great reviews online. They did not disappoint! The last time my husband took the car in to the dealership, they recommended a ton of work that the car didnt need. My husband passed away in January & Ive been dreading taking the car in. I know better than to use a dealership but also know theres a lot of disreputable shops out there. I had budgeted about $2,000 but ABS didnt find any reason to do 90% of what the dealership told my husband. After all the basic maintenance, state inspection, & 2 front tires, I came in at about 1/4 of what I budgeted. At no point was there a high-pressure up-sell. I had the experience Ive always hoped to have from an auto repair shop. Theyve definitely earned my business from now on.

The only place I take my truck for needed repairs/service.5/4/2020 update - As usual scheduling an appointment was quick and easy, they called me when they found two minor items in the 20-point inspection (tag light out and battery connections corroded, making the connections weaker), added those items to the list of work and vehicle still ready when promised. Price was very reasonable! They even helped me figure out why my radio quit working at no extra cost. Thanks for the consistent great work!1/26/2021 Update - Took my truck in for an oil change and during the free battery check they noticed that my battery was not putting out adequate voltage. The last time they told me this happened almost 5 years ago during another free battery check. I told them I would wait because to me everything was working fine. I ended up having a dead battery on a holiday a few days later when not much was open. So, having learned my lesson from that experience, I had them change my battery. Now no worries about a dead battery when I go to start my truck :-)They always give recommendations for maintenance work but NEVER push to have it done right away unless they truly believe that it is an urgent problem. Appreciate their honesty, trustworthiness and reliability - will never use anyplace else for my auto repairs and maintenance.

All of my experiences have been great. The one thing you should focus on: dont get in the interior of somebodys car without a mask and gloves. I appreciate your offering disinfectant afterwards, but whoever is driving the car should be wearing protection (for you, as well as for us).

Where do I began,I have 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. I went to the locate dealership to diagnose a issue which I was very upset about because I just had my truck serviced. The dealer first told me it was the water pump and it was cost 1200.00 to replay…. After saying driving back to the dealer to schedule the work to be done… the Dealership service told me it was the Radiator and it actually cost $2000.00 estimate to repair. Needless to say, …they received some chose words from me. I place the specs on Yelp and ABS Unlimited respond. I am not from the area so I thought a smaller shop with up the price and prolong the work..right? WRONG! ABS not only gave me a fair estimate, but the estimate was actual a few dollars below the initial estimate… They correctly diagnosed the issue very quickly and the cost was half the price of the dealership. Tim, Charles or Christi we both upfront about everything and in touch with me for any major decision. ABS is a genuine hard-working business that take pride in their work. I was so impressed that came back to have my brakes down. Again, I sent the specs (scope of work) on yelp and they are the best cost and best service.ABS is my family’s auto service and repair shop… Save yourself the time and money .. ABS All the Way!

I was referred by Jose of Collision Specialist of Fairfax to see ABS Unlimited on a lug nut problem I had on my tires. When I walked in the shop, the lady manning the front desk greeted me courteously and she called Charlie who I spoke to regarding my tire issues and right away he took my keys and told me to give him 30 minutes. I sat down and waited. The waiting room is clean, comfortable and nice with TV, some games and other amenities. Charlie came back before 30 minutes was over and handed me my car keys and told me I was all set. My tire lug nut problem was all fixed. They are so professional, trustworthy and nice people there, very highly recommended indeed. I will take this opportunity to thank Charlie again and everyone there in ABS Unlimited, thank you.

I was initially led to this shop by it’s volume of great online reviews. Going to the mechanic is one of those things that is necessary from time to time, like going to the doctor, and in a similar way, you may know little about the mechanics of cars and so can be, if you’re not careful, “taken to the cleaners.” It was my first time coming to this shop, and Kristy at the counter was awesome, empathetic, and helpful. Not only did they complete the work on my car the same day in time for a birthday road trip a couple days later I was a bit stressed about, but she took the time to explain what the car issue was, the parts warranty, and even offered their assistance in checking the air in my tires whenever I’m in the neighborhood. I may not be that high maintenance, but I really appreciated the sincerity of the offer seconded by the owner. I wasn’t expecting that level if hospitality and transparency, but it’s obvious now why this family business basically has a 5 star rating from all their customers. They seem like good people. Nicely done and thanks so much!

I had been experiencing a rattling coming from my back axel for over 2 years and no repair shop could determine the source.
