Average. Dont do any more than they have to. Probably not paid very well and for that I blame the directors and executives that determine the companys trajectory. Satisfactory work.In other areas, they could and should be better neighbors and keep the outside cleaner. Bottles, plastic and paper litter the parking lot. They should consider themselves lucky that the town provides a garbage can in front of their store.

I Would like to express that I had an awesome experience , they truly offer the best service. I went in for 1 tire and ended up getting 4 instead due to additional savings great management experience from Tito. I spent more then I initially planned but how could I not! The manager really helped me see the benefits of replacing all my tires, especially since this winter is suppose to be an intense one. Thank you Tito, I wish I could give you more stars.

Came upon this shop by calling the main Mavis # to find out if they had a particular set of tires. While they only had one, John and Tito made sure to order the 2nd tire and promptly called me when it arrived. Like the 1st tire, the 2nd was installed very quickly. I asked them to check the rear brakes and John, the manager, and I discussed the best options for the car based on his personal and professional experience. The same day, John obtained the parts and the rear brakes and rotor were installed while I waited. Every step of the way, the team at Mavis Fair Lawn was personable, prompt and professional with reasonable prices. I have now been here several times and trust their work, the attention to detail, and the care they have for their customers.

Stay away from them, they will find the way to rip you off. They charged me for work I didnt ask for. I complained about it, they offered me a $20.00 voucher for my next visit, so they believe they can rip me off again, they just lost a customer.

Make sure to ask for Tito or John at the Mavis on River Road in Fair Lawn! They are the best! They were so helpful and assisted me with everything I needed. I got two flat tires in one day, and they allowed me to tow my car to them right before they closed and leave it overnight so that they could start on it the next morning. I used my extended tire warranty, which I had originally purchased with them to get those tires replaced, so I didnt have to pay full price for new tires. This saved me a lot of money! I will never not get the tire warranty program. These guys are reliable, friendly, and there when you need them.

I had an accident on Saturday evening of 6/19 where 2 tires were blown out on the drivers side of my car. As per usual, John and Tito at the Fair Lawn, NJ location went above and beyond to assist me with resolving my issues expeditiously on Sunday morning. I followed John Nunez from the Bergenfield, NJ store to here when he became Manager at this location. I live in NYC so for me to cross the GWB to have my car serviced here says it all!!! This location is the absolute BEST and every single employee deserves BONUSES on a continual basis for the OUTSTANDING service they provide to their customers. And I would like to commend Barry, the technician as well. He usually works on my car and is such a great young man.

I met the guys in Fair Lawn to fix a flat. They were extremely quick and got me in and out fast. It didnt last so I went back to try again but needed Tires they got me great 100.000 Mile tires again got me in and out Quick. While I waited for the completion of the job I got to know the Guys working there, we had great rapport and they were extremely friendly and knowledgable and a lot fun (when they werent too busy. Also I got the Mavis Credit card 6 Months no interest so I did not pay a dime when job was done. I now trust these guys to do what they say at the price they quote or close enough. I like when a Service station treats you with respect but its not forced because they are genuine people. Got my brakes done so car is good for a while. But I will go out of my way to use them. I live 35 miles away.

Went in on a Sunday to get 4 tires mounted and balanced to a set of new rims, but Im guessing they forgot to balance them because as soon as I installed the wheels back at home and went for a drive, the car would vibrate at highway speeds.I went to a different shop the next day for rebalancing, where the mechanic told me that Mavis most likely skipped/forgot balancing because they were just not balanced properly.

They tried to charge me $120 for an oil change on my 2020 Honda Pilot. Honda dealer quoted me $60. When I questioned the price the employee walked away and didnt respond to me. Not the first time I went there to get service done but I dont know if I can trust them again after that experience.

In a heavy winter storm I needed blades.Came in to Mavis and had an amazing experience.My car was worked on with great timing and the prices were great . I brought my 2003 Expedition in for a brake issue. very hard pedal. After leaving it there for a few hours I was told my front calipers were frozen. Not working to stop the vehicle. I was also told I needed a complete brake job, pads and rotors front and rear. Oh and calipers for the rear as well. I opted for the break job all the way around and the calipers for the front. Although I felt all along i really didnt need a complete brake job. But thats on me. I picked up the vehicle one day later. the pedal felt exactly the same. So I took my truck to a friends shop to check it out. Mavis was right the caliper was not working but not because the caliper was frozen it was because the brake line that supplies the fluid to the caliper so it depresses was clogged. When you take the line off the caliper to replace it was it not evident that there was no fluid there. When you bleed the line to get the air out was it not obvious there was no fluid coming out? This is disgusting that I was sold a bill of goods. All they saw was a $1000.00 bill. Awful. The place that i took it to wouldnt let me drive it until they changed the brake line. I was told if the brake line broke open because of the pressure I would lose all the brake fluid in the system and completely lose the brakes. Imagine that. I could have died or killed someone else. Hope no one else takes their vehicle there for work. You should be embarrassed employing someone like that.

Great service BUT beware of the false claims of shocks and suspension being bad.They tried to scare me into thinking my shocks were leaking and control arms were broken requiring immediate attention. Took it to my dealer since my car was under warranty and they laughed and they walked me through a thorough inspection.

Went in to get new tires they gave me a great deal on tires and alignment. Had a couple of other things done that I needed and the store manager John was very helpful with getting things done in a timely matter and they didn’t charge me an arm and leg. I got new tires and alignment at Mavis Fair Lawn NJ. Cat provided impeccable service and her knowledge on tires, services and warranty protection made me very comfortable. They should definitely give her a promotion and a raise. They was shorthanded and she was physically removing tires from the rims and installing them.

Very bad service. I had to change tires of my car and I called them to ask about the prices. On the phone they told me there is a discount on the tires which is $65 instead of $85 and all together it came out to be round $155, they took my information too. When I went there they told me they only had hancook tires for $125 each. They shouldve told me on the phone that, instead of making me drive there and telling me this. He said he didnt have any information about the discount and I ended up getting the $125 each ones, which the total came out to be $405 for 2 tires with balancing and alignment. I had no other option and once I got there I wasnt able to return without getting it done. I am very disappointed in this service. Please dont do this again to other people.

Not professional mechanics do not know what they are doing.How do u go to charge rear rotors and rear breaks and passenger rear calpier then when u get ur car back left rear side is scrapping and emergency breaks dont work.Take it back to get fixed and emergency break still not working and now front breaks are sounding like crushed metal. Today I had to get tires changed on my 2011 dodge durango. So I decided to try Mavis Discount Tire in Fair Lawn. I was extremely please with the service and price that I was given. My whole experience was made even better by Kimarra, a very nice/knowledgeable receptionist/worker. Thank you all for your kindness and quick/efficient work! Would def recommend!

Horrible experience I must say. First and last time I will go there. Why have a appointment system if they dont honor it. I was there to long. I was told a hour and half and it became three hours long. No communication with the customer of issues they were having with there bay door. When I ask a question (Why is it taking so long) to the Supervisor/Manager the gentleman got nasty with me. I requested the return of the vehicle and refused the wheel alignment. I had to come back to the shop twice because they didnt return to me the lug nut lock, tire air caps plus the hood and the spare tire system was lefted open. What a nightmare.

I want to share an uncomfortable experience of repairing a car in this shop. Last time I just wanted to change the tires of the car. During the repair process, they strongly suggested that I need to replace all the brake rotors, otherwise it would be dangerous or something. I listened to their suggestions. My brake rotors was replaced at 64000 miles. When I drive to 80,000 miles, the brakes are always noisy. At that time I felt I was deceived. So I went to another car repair company and they said that my brake rotors was broken and needed to be replaced. It also includes replacing the brake pads. Finally repaired. There is no more noise. I took the brake rotors that I just used 16000 miles, and went back to question them. They said that the brake rotors has passed the warranty period of 12000 miles, and there is no way to help me. What I dont understand is that, as a professional car repair company, since it is recommended that I change the brake rotors, why not recommend that I also replace the brake pads. This caused me to replace the four brake rotors again. And the price is ridiculously expensive. Its uncomfortable.I just feel cheated。

Appontment 9am for changing 2tires. They didnt touch my car over 1,5 hour. Then another 40min work. Really, 2 tires? Install guy was more on phone than on the wokr. I was all set up after 11:30am. So cheap and unprofessional! Never again!

My wife sent our son to this shop to have a flat fixed on her car. She had just had one fixed a few weeks earlier and they charged her around $20 which is fair. This time they charged $43 and did the same exact thing but on the receipt they added that they balanced the tire and checked the tire valve. My son said he watched the whole process and they just pulled the tire off and plugged it then put it back on. My wife called the next morning to inquire and the person she spoke to who claimed was the manager was rude, nasty very unprofessional over the phone then hung up on her. My wife the reached out to the corporate office and they took her complaint but didn’t seem too interested either. Stay away from this place bad customer service would’ve given “0” stars. We live locally and try supporting local businesses but not with this type of treatment and disrespect.

Purchased the tires on Amazon with optional installation at this mavis location. Got all the updates on the shipment and confirmation of the appointment from Amazon.Arriving for my appointment 11 am, they couldnt find me at all in the system even though my tires were sitting in the lobby. One guy in charge said they will take care of my tires changing and will figure out the corporate next day.My appointment was 11am and they said it would take couple of hours, so i asked if its ok for me to drop off the car and come back at 2pm. That same guy said 2-2:30 the car will be ready and theyll call me in advance.Not getting any response, I came back at 3pm just to find out that my car has not ever moved from where I parked it. As soon I walked into the store another person at the desk asked me where the keys for the car were. In my stunning response that i handed the keys to the person who handled the situation in the morning, he said they dont have the keys. After me questioning the whole deal they immediately found the keys to my car and the very same person said they will change my tires right away and it will take half an hour.I drove away with a friend to come back 30 minutes later to find out they just started working on my car. It took a tech another 50 minutes to swap the tires and myself to get my tires changed 5+ hours later.Totally ruined my day. The worst service of all kinds Ive ever had by far.

My experience with mavis from fair lawn was horrible, (be aware)the warranty by tread depth i bought it in litte fall nj on 8/30/2020 for the day 9/23/2020 my tire was damaged by the sidewalk which is covered by the warranty .. i call and talk to someone he told me that there was no problem that everything was covered but when I got to the mavis fair lawn they told me it was not that the person who installed it in another branch told me a lie( little fall) which i call and told to take my car there because was not fair what they was tryingto do .. it took 2 days to They gave me my vehicle because supposedly they did not have the tire in stock, even so they had told me by phone that if they had it .. after they called me 2 days later to deliver my vehicle they charged me 113 dollars for a new tire even though I had my warranty .. I called customer service and I feel that they did not pay attention to my complaints and they only called me to return 42 dollars of the 113 ... even so I installed the new tire and 3 days later it was flat because the valve they installed was damaged.. how a company like that give me wreck a tire without even looking at it, I could have made a complaint about that but I know that I was going to go deaf ear good luck with you company but I dont think that is the way to do business

They are scammer my son went their to get his breaks fix , it took them about 7 hours to get fix , I spoke to them on the phone bc I need to them to explain to me what they was fixing , at which time told me that my son need the front and back break that break pads &rotors at which time they give me a price 7+, so I agree even thou I thought it was too pricey, and the reason I agree is bc it started to snow and I wanted my son to be safe . When my son came home he was telling me his breaks where bad and it felt like they didn’t fix nothing . I which time I took it to another reputable place they said that the front breaks was not fixed or rotors Then I had to go get it fix , pay more money , so it can be done the right way ,after that my son breaks was working find , then I called them and told them what they had done and the person said to me I never said the front breaks was getting fix only the back so I said so why you charged me 7+ the man said it was the back breaks with rotors , I told them I needed to talk to a manager the manager said he need to talk to them he came back saying that his employee said he never said the 4 breaks was going to get fix . DO NOT USE: Mavis Tire - fairlawn NJ I had brought my vehicle into Mavis tire for an oil change and was informed via phone that my front outer tie rod needed replacement. I have noticed a little bit of slack in steering, so I agreed to have it replaced and fix suspension issues, costing a total of $500+.Then at the next scheduled, an oil change later received a call that my front axle was broken and needed replacement, and the vehicle was un-driveable. I became immediately suspicious, and the representative was not getting the hint; he eventually restored to saying my axle was leaking even.Then, I took the vehicle to a trusted shop to view what was happening under the vehicle and found Mavis tire installed a garbage tie-rod one and tried to fleece me a second time to have unnecessary repairs.- Ive since replaced both tie-rods and no other issues with vehicle.
