Too expensive for my taste. The technician was super nice and polite etc. But $230 to put 5 or 6 screws in was a bit steep for my wallet. It took him 20 minutes. Ugggg...wishing Id just done it myself. Call someone else.

I didnt have a great experience using Exeter. Over the weekend my door would not close. When I called Exeter ProTeck they sent someone out the next day to fix it. The technician explained to me he thought there was an issue with the installation of the door, which was done by another company. The technician suggested rather than him undertake fixing it I should reach out to the other company because there should be a warrantee since the door installation was less than two years old. I appreciated this.The technician did tell me that he could replace the cable and bracket which had broken off over the weekend. The technician did so and suggested I call the other company to have them come in to check the track. I called the other installation company after the technician left to have them come by at the first available time a couple of days later. Within less than twenty four hours of the repair my garage door would not close again. I called Exeter ProTeck to ask them to come by since it had been less than a day since they repaired it, but they told me they would not come by again without charging me. They said they knew that the issue was the track and not any of the repairs to the parts that they did the prior day. They claimed to have explained to me all of this the previous day. We never would have had the repair done if I knew it wouldnt last 24 hours. If they knew the whole time the garage door wouldnt work after replacing the cable and bracket I would have appreciated them telling me that it wouldnt and I may have not paid $270 for a repair that wouldnt last a day. Maybe I am mistaken, but this doesnt seem to have been the right decision or properly explained to me. The only reason I dont provide them a lower star rating is because the technician did suggest I call the company that had done a poor job installing the tracker for the door since I should have a warranty.
