Extremely helpful. And knowledgeable. They might be a little higher than the bigger stores but Ill pay it. You get one on one service with no pressure to buy anything. They will answer any questions and explain to you in detail step by step as they walk with you through the store helping you get everything you need. When our electric was out due to a storm they were open and assisting customers with flashlights. Ive never heard of any store going that far to help customers! There is always a lot of things to look through. From nuts, screws, nails, bathroom Plumbing, tools, dog food, cat food, grills, seeds, paint, candy, gardening tools, and way more. My store I go to is always clean. The workers are very friendly. They even have yard furniture and barbecue equipment. The only issue is the prices are a little higher. They carry heaters, fans, hooks, bracket and yes again much more. Worth the look. They have a lot of great products.

Went here to get two 60 lb sand bags for the trunk of my 2009 Ford Focus to help with keeping it from sliding on the snow and ice (which it slid off the road and into a ditch several days ago, dont worry both car and myself were alright!! 😌😌) they were quick to put my order through and had someone help me with putting both into my trunk. Very friendly and not that crowded. Only cost me under 14.00 for two of them!

Wow What a experience I am new to the Excelsior area And I needed a few thing So Westlake Hardware with the place I went I was in there a good hour Walking up and down the aisles and nobody said anything to me I was trying to match bolts & nuts to fix a countertop dishwasher. I couldnt recollect my high school knowledge of a basic ruler. Which made my job harder.1/4,5/8,3/16..etc. @ the 2 hour mark and still no one asked. I decided Ill wait til closing time, (45min) then when they FINALLY ASK, CAN I HELP YOU? I can reply with sure now that the stores clothing this is what I need and I got your undivided attention . And thats what happened They werent real happy that it took them about 35 minutes to find what I needed I had so many piles Bolts and nuts and Different kinds of Connections in piles down every row Too bad so sad for them They had To figure out where they went Its I would have asked me in the beginning he could have found exact size I needed and I would have been on my way Back If I had to rely on Westlake Hardware for all my projects that I do I wouldnt do any projects . I wasnt a happy camper when I left .

Good place to go when your in a pinch and have to have a part fast. Little pricey but saves time and gas money going to bigger stores one town over.

Busy shop but had some great plants and seeds to put in the garden. Clerks were very friendly and store was neat and clean.

Friendly people only problem is not enough workers to help you out. Im a handicapped senior citizen who needs help couldnt find anybody so sad because it is a clean store.

Love having a local hardware store. They carry great products you cant find anywhere else in town. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff if you have questions about which product you need. Only suggestion is that the checkout process is slow.

Nice place to shop for hardware needs or plants. The customer service has always been excellent. The store is clean organized and theres always someone ready to help you with whatever questions you have.

The employees were very helpful. They carry farm and home items. Christmas trees are sold here. They have tools, grills, snow blowers. If youre planning to feed birds this winter. I cant imagine buying food anywhere else. The store feels a little small and crowded, but they have a lot of inventory.

Westlake is a very good general purpose hardware store. Additionally the one in my town seems to be expanding its bbq items. That makes me happy

Westlake Hardware in Excelsior is one of my favorite places to go. I could spend hours there just looking at all the things they have. If Im not just looking and I need help with something they almost always have what I need and they are pleasant and friendly.

I wasnt feeling very good that day and I went in to get light bulbs. To find out they were at the very back of the store and so I looked back to get some. I was limping very bad that day I want to ask about the light bulbs and they told me it was clear in the back of the store would have been nice if they offered to go pick some up for me. The girl was too busy watching like I was going to shoplift. I wasnt really impressed with the store this time for that very reason

The sales associate showed me how to fix a plumbing fixture for less than $5, when I thought I was going to have to purchase a $45 part. He went above and beyond to show me how to fix the problem and save me money.

Great local hardware store with a great staff.

I took my trimmer in for service ie. tune up and new air filter cover. I went back two weeks later to check on it and the person I spoke with (Lora) was rude with an attitude. She told me that it would take another week to get the filter and cover in and then she would work on it. So basically It hadn’t been touched for 2 weeks.I went back a week later and still hadn’t been touched , this time they were waiting on a carberator part.As I was leaving she approached me and asked if I had the deflector shield for it, I said no. She then told me that they couldn’t work on it or release it to me without it. I told her to go get it and i would just take it home, so she did. So she contradicted herself. It was just her way of getting rid of me.I called another Ace who services STIHL and its only taking them 4 days to get a filter and cover and I don’t need any Carberator parts.While this store does have good customer service, it only takes a few to ruin it for the rest. I will shop elsewhere.
