This is our second Awntech motorized awning. We have a 12x 10 and now a 16 x 12. They are easy to install with two people and they work right out of the box. We mounted under a slanted roof using a combination of the roof and under soffit bracket as a set. Great quality and fast service. Recommended.

We have a south facing deck that gets very hot in the sun. This heats our house even with the blinds down. We ordered 16 and 14 motorized Maui oatmeal tweed Awntech awnings and we are extremely happy! We can keep the blinds up now (for the view and nice filtered light) and is far cooler on the deck and inside the house. We ordered the optional soffit/eve brackets and mounted these to the end of our rafter beams (that I quickly power-sanded flat and put a 1x3 wood mounting pad to lower a bit to clear the rain gutter). My wife and I put the awnings into the brackets without drama! FYI: We ordered the motors to be in the middle (left 16 and right 14) which gave a 7 gap between awning fabrics. If you order to have the motors at the outer ends (when you have two awnings side-by-side), then you would have a 5 gap between the two awning fabrics. The in and out motor stops were already set good at Awntech. It was pretty straight forward to adjust the level of the awnings to match each other.We are thrilled!

Awning install easier than expected. Extera brackets provided by Awntech helped. Looks great, Sending the colr samples made matching the house easy. It took three of us about 5 hours to do the complete job. Siding work took longer than the actual install.I would recommend AWNTECH for anyone who wants an awning.Sorry for the scaffoling in photos, We needed it to reach the end brackes of the awning. Since the south side of house gets the sun, the awning is out over the south edge of the deck by about two feet so the entire deck is shady. We dont even need to extend the full 10 feet to get complete shade.

Our front door is unprotected and boring. We needed some dimension. I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money seeing this is not my forever house. I love straight lines and I found the perfect awning that really added to my house. The structure is pretty simple but classy. We did not have any issues putting the awning up on the house thanks to the great directions provided and short videos to assist.I am So happy with this itemAnd the costumer service. This team really responded to you and in a timely fashion. I would recommend their product and will remember them when I need some class added to my next house.

I purchased one of the blue canvas awnings. It arrived in a few days. A friend and I put it up in about 1 hr. This is not a motorized unit, just a 4 wide canvas awning. Materials are great, all quality made, well engineered, and labeled. Only observation I had is the instructions are a bit confusing. But we figured it out by reading carefully and paying attention to the labels on the parts. I am very happy with my awning and if anyone wants a photo of it in place, just ask. Also, every time I called the company and left a voice message, they called back. So customer service was 5 Star as well. I am a happy customer and will buy from Awntech again.

The Awntech Destin awning looks great and works very well. Installation of wall brackets was not terribly difficult, but the 18 by 10 motorized awning is very heavy. I wish I had ordered the optional wind sensor. Overall, an excellent awning and addition to our home.Outstanding customer service by Angela and Tech support by Dale.

Just wanted to tell you how pleased we are with the two Houstonian Awnings we purchased via Home Depot Canada. We installed a 7ft and 8ft Bronze. The only video did help but overall assembly was straight forward. The quality of the product is impressive and supplying touch up paint is great! The product travelled all the way up to Canada and arrived in perfect condition...mostly due to your packaging team that do a great job. So thanks and keep up the great work!

Our awning was delivered a week ahead of schedule. We were very impressed with the ease of installation and the quality of the product. We also purchased two braces from Awntech which we mounted to the underside of the overhang of our house. The braces were a very heavy duty aluminum. We concluded the purchase was a bargain, as we could have paid twice the sum for the same quality. It is a beautiful addition to our home. We highly recommend.

I was happy with the whole process, I was replacing an older awning and were told 2200. just to replace the material. I was able to purchase a brand new complete system for 1524.00 and OTHER than directions being to basic all went well. My two maint guys erected it in 6 hours complete. Thanks Again Kevin C. The awning took some time to ship from Texas, but once it arrived we put it up and I am extremely satisfied with the quality of construction and fabric. Installation took about 3 hours and needs two people but is something most homeowners can accomplish with a minimum of tools and expertise.

The Houstonian Awning is very nice looking, and installation went fairly smoothly. It took 3 people to install the 6 footer, so know that. My only complaints are that the directions are not great, and the video contradicts some of the things in the directions. The metal parts arent really cut all that accurately, and the sheet screws they give you definitely need pilot holes to punch through the aluminum - otherwise the heads sheer right off, even with an impact gun.Overall, delivery was fast, everything was included, and the awning looks great, so I recommend this product, if it meets your needs.

My Awntech awning is really an extension to my garage/shop. The shady extension has really been nice! However, the location is subject to sudden unpredictable gusts. This year I decided to try the “Breeze Support” legs… WOW! What a nice add-on accessory! Awntech marketing doesn’t hype these enough! The legs have A ball socket on each end that snap in and out of the awning adapter and base plate. I leave the legs attached to the awning edge and let them travel with the front edge. The base sockets are permanently mounted on my driveway in the awning fully extended position… Snap… they are locked in place!SG

Awntech customer service was excellent I recently purchased a Hampton awning /I had a problem with the motor and manual control I explained in detail what was going on to Shawn Within 24 hours I had a new motor Fed exed to me and was able to switch out myself without having to uninstall the Awning Awntech walked me thru the whole process and always got back to me with anything that I was not sure of The Awning works flawlessly now and I am very happy for this purchase I would recommend this company if you are in search of a good awning and good customer service Thanks again Shawn and Awntech corp

I had a heck of a time ordering an awning. I wanted the full cassette Hampton model. First I ordered from Home Depot only to be told a week later it was out of stock with no date of when it would be available. When I called Home Depot they said it was the color I ordered. I was then told they had 37 beige in stock so I ordered that color. Again I got an email about a week later saying they were out of stock! So, I ordered one from Amazon which listed how many of which color were in stock. You guessed it, I got an email saying it was out of stock and theyd email more info when they they knew more. When I realized I could buy direct from Awntech I figured thats the way to go.I ordered the Hampton only to be called a few days later to be told it was out of stock and even they couldnt tell me when it would be available again! I was told I could get the Galveston model instead and theyd throw in my choice of a motor or winter cover for the same price. Not sure how they figure they were throwing in a motor or winter cover on a model that was $200 cheaper. So, the actual offer was we have a $200 cheaper model and well sell you your choice of a motor or winter cover that way the total will be the same and we can keep all the money youve already given us and not refund a dime. I didnt really want a motorized awning or need a winter cover so, just went with the partial cassette Galveston model 14 wide, 10 extension. They threw in rush status on the order which was nice and refunded $150.I got the awning about two weeks later! Packaging was okay but there were a few spots that poked out that werent protected well enough and had the paint rubbed off.The installation instructions left plenty to be desired but it was easy to figure out what needed to be done. I came up with my own plan of action that required no measuring or layout and ended up taking me less than an hour to install on a beam between two posts under my eaves. I highly recommend getting the optional support rods.With all this said, I like the product so far. My impression is its reasonably priced in comparison to other manufacturers (that want to send a sales person to your house and hire out the installation - all driving up the price). For these reasons I give a higher 3 stars than I would otherwise.

This review is in response to the Houstonian awning. Long story short, awnings that are five feet or larger require an extra bracket that runs across the center of the bottom of the awning. This means that it must be mounted higher then the window or door. Awntech needs to revise the measurement guide to state this. The current measuring guide and pictures shown on their website are for the smaller awnings that allow drop over a window or door. Quality control for the Houstonian could also be better. Many of the welds had slag all over them and the installation guide looked like it had been photocopied so many times it was barely readable.

Great Awning for a Great Price! I contacted Awntech for customer support and they were fantastic. Their Rep. Sarah, went above and beyond. I would definitely purchase another awning from them in the future.

These awnings are classy looking, nicely constructed and Awntech’s customer service is excellent. I appreciated the quick response to the stitching concern I had on one of the awnings and felt Awntech handled my concern professionally. I ordered a 14ft Maui retractable manual awning from the Awntech Web site in December 2019. Awntech had a sale that included free shipping. The awning arrived on time and I had it put up the next day. The installers in Las Vegas were impressed with the product and really liked the fabric and its pattern. It was a difficult soffit install due to the homes construction not the awnings. It turned out well using the Awntech soffit brackets and I am very happy with the awning.I recieved excellent help from Awntechs marketing and sales specialists (Thank you Lilly!) during the ordering, production and delivery steps. I would recomend this awning as a reasonably priced, quality retractable awning.

We purchased a motorized Awntech canopy nearly 10 years ago from Home Depot. It has done a beautiful job of shading our deck during the summer, and is easy to put away when the sun is down or just behind the trees. It has been very durable and kept its attractiveness until the last couple of years (several years past its warranty). Our last two very wet and windy winters have taken their toll on the canvas although the motor still runs great. The valance is in shreds and the canvas is stained. We reached out to Awntech directly to see about getting a replacement canvas. They have been wonderful to work with. I first contacted them through their after hours chat. Daniel got back to me quickly the next day and answered all the questions I sent via email. He even provided instructions on how to replace the canvas, so that I would know if it was easy enough to do to make it worth replacing instead of repurchasing. He then put me in touch with a customer service person to place my order with. Samantha was great. It was so refreshing to have one person to work with through the entire process. She was patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Samantha made great suggestions, including sending us fabric samples when we couldnt decide between all the choices. She was very prompt in replying to all my emails, and very positive in her manner. It makes me very happy to be able to replace the canvas for a little over half what it would cost to replace the entire canopy. I save money and the environment by keeping one more item out of the landfill . I will highly recommend Awntech to anyone who wants an attractive and durable canopy for their deck or porch.

We Hd a problem with the size of our new awning we ordered to replace one that was old and mildewed. After installing the replacement awning I noticed that it was 10 inches to short on the width and looked like it didnt belong to this awning. I called Awntech and was assigned to a customer service tech named Lilly Konda. She worked with me on what we needed to correct this issue. (measure the old awning) so we could have a new awning made to correct size due to changes made to manufacturing since the original awning was made. I gave her the measurements and she had a new awning sent to us. When this awning arrived it was the wrong fabric. I again called Awntech and talked to Lilly and she looked at the pictures I sent her of new awning and she didnt know or couldnt explain how the wrong fabric was used to make the new awning, but never the less my wife didnt like the new fabric so again Lilly ordered a new awning with correct fabric and had it shipped to me. When the new awning arrived I opened it and it was the correct fabric so I installed it and it fit and looks fantastic. I want the powers to be know that I do customer service at the customers site for over 27 years and the way that your customer service tech (Lilly Konda) handled this was very professional and I would expect that our customer service techs should be as professional as she was with all the issues that arrived while working with me.
