A huge selection to choose from and tons of great products. If you’re newer or have questions I’d avoid the place, the workers love to let you know they’re smarter without actually sharing any knowledge.

Great staff helped me find everything I needed for growing my own big healthy tomatoes! Well priced soil additives, pots and grow lights. They also have stuff for ponds, and they breed koi. Unfortunately they just got rid of their aquarium fish department though.

So many different nutrients, growing mediums and set ups to choose from. Helpful, kind staff. I was super impressed by the variety. So happy to have a local shop to give my business too.

Been shopping here since it was just a hallway through the front of the building some 20 years ago. Great selection, helpful staff and basically everything you could possibly need for your gardening adventures.

What a great place. I didnt buy anything today but next paycheck Ill be in to update my hydroponics nutrients to a new system but others I have used in the past were in their as well as some one Ive havent been able to online. I didnt see the fish side like I want to it looked like it was being redone. Differently a place to check out if you grow any plants and want to up your game, they even answered the most stupid of questions with a real face.

I love (loved?) Aqua Serene for their wonderful and glorius fish area. They are going through some changes I guess and I am just really hoping they will still have at least some of the incredible selection they had before. Otherwise, I might have to start heading up to Portland for my fish nerd needs.

Probably great for hydroponic gardening, but contrary to the signage and website they no longer sell any aquarium stuff. The man at the counter was pretty short with me when I asked.

We went here expecting to find aquarium fish. This business is now basically about ponds and gardens. Which they have a wonderful selection for that including coy. However they do not have anything to do with small aquariums for your home. so keep that in mind if youre going to visit the store

If you are going in for marijuana growing supplies the customer service seems excellent. If you are going in for pond supplies, guidance, assistance, or recommendations the customer service is very poor and you may be ignored entirely.

Typically a decent store although pretty overpriced. That being said....if you’re going to close for weeks on end maybe update your website or your voicemail or something so people don’t waste a big chunk of their day driving there to an empty store.

It used to be a great place to buy fish salt or tropicals and all the various items needed for aquariums.i also enjoyed the myriad of wood carvings statuary and many other delightful things to buy.unfortunaelty it has turned into a full blown cannabis supply store which sucks as if eugene needs another one.the staff i found rude the lprices insultingly high. avoid this place like the plagie

Best place for your growing supplies.

We are putting together our first planted tank and we needed some insight. After googling and youtubing, Shell helped us make our final decisions. Shell made our experience at Aqua Serene amazing. She is knowledgable and humble and has helped us on multiple occasions. Definitely seek out her help. Additionally, there is a great selection of plants/substrate/driftwood/rock/etc to start a tank! We highly recommend this place and Shell!

I just moved to Eugene from the SF Bay Area and very glad I found this place! Just visit and walk in the front door and youll see what I mean.They have great gear selection from basic to top of the line, healthy fish and inverts, some amazing salt and fresh tanks (big ones!) in the store, and great folks working there.Definitely highly recommend. Very high level information and advice available too if you need that for any reason/issues/setups.

Customer service I experienced here was incredible. Having purchased an expensive product 2 years and 3 months ago and not having the receipt anymore, they thankfully went out of their way to help me out when they surely didnt need to. Knowing the time I purchased within 2 months and listing out some other items I remember getting at the same time, their employee was able to search back and go through a handful of purchases around that time frame to find mine and offer me the full 3 year warranty that product offered. Needless to say I was thrilled.

Beautiful tanks and amazing fish!!!! The staff are knowledgeable and patient with new people. They have a wide selection of fresh and saltwater fish. The prices are clearly marked on the tanks as well. Large selection of loaches too which is amazing!

Aqua Serene Is it perfect example of a local business that does a great job in our community. Located on West 11th by oak patch near taco Bell its easily spotted by the mural on the building. They have everything for fish and ponds. Whats not so common knowledge is they have great import gifts from rocks, crystals, geodes, to statues, art, and pottery! Gideon is a wealth of knowledge along with the rest of the staff.This is one shopping experience you will enjoy. When I need dirt supplements or sound growing advice... this is where I go.Highly recommended!!!

Was recommended to get a $200 filter that did not work with the tank I bought from them. When I brought it back they would not refund it or give in store credit. I would do your own research before buying anything. 😕I will not be a returning customer.

Wonderful experience! I came into their building to establish treatment in our 20 gallon tank and left feeling inspired to take on fish tanking as a hobby. I visited twice back to back and spent upwards of $80, yet feeling like I left with far more in expertise and knowledge to go forward with confidence. The few staff I worked with were more concerned over the health of our fish rather than selling me unneeded products. I received a few free plants and sample tall water treatments for my time. The only drawback was when I recorded the technique to siphon rocks from our tank, only to find I failed since the technique was not properly described. A quick YouTube and now Im an expert. I am strongly considering a second tank for saltwater fish, and this is after going in with a 7yr old goldfish living solitary. I plan on going in many more times over the next few months to gradually build our tank into something beautiful and functional. After two cleanings as described for a regimen, our tank is crystal clear and will only get better. The staff lives their passion and it really shows in how thorough they are in helping you care for your pets 😁👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Aqua Serene is the best Fish and Coral shop in Eugene!They are the epitome of why local is best. The staff are pros: knowledgeable and helpful and genuinely care about getting you what you need. Chris & Paul have been super helpful and friendly as Ive learned how to care for my 55 gallon Salt Water tank over the last 6 months.They have a large collection of tropical fish, soft and hard coral and also large amounts of other aquarium supplies.My wife and love walking around and looking at the wide selection of cool fish and coral, also we always have fun with Chris. I think theyre a responsible vendor too. Am a regular customer now. Thanks guys!

This is such an awesome place. Love the environment there and everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. This will definitely be the place we will go to get any aquarium needs. And they have their own koi fish too. Amazing place!

We brought in a fish as trade for a shrimp, it was a $45 fish and the shrimp was $20, no big deal, we were fine with that. I also decided to purchase a orchid dotty back who appeared to look healthy, took them home, acclimated and the shrimp didn’t look right and died within a few hours of acclimating, mind you I have a well established tank, great parameters and everyone else is heathy. The dottyback was fine for about 4 days when I noticed it started developing brooklynella like symptoms, before I could act it died in less than a day of me seeing the illness and I check my fish every morning and night. I’m not sure I’ll be a returning customer and now I don’t know what’s going to happen with the rest of my tank. :(

Great fish as always. Was there for a new bulb for our in indoor plants. Had what I needed and for a good price to. Gave my daughter fish food so she could feed the Koi. Very cool made her day.

Wow, we went in looking for fish tank supplies....no longer doing fish tanks. We tried to buy some rock for our tank, they couldnt sell it to us because they couldnt find a price.

After losing a key employe, the saltwater section is quite depressing, and the current staff arent very knowledgeable, obviously after seeing how the once beautiful lagoon is all but gone and the other display tanks have little effort put into them. I dont feel as confident coming here anymore. Presentation is everything be it the product or staff.
