When contacting Jayco about a custom armadillo mailbox, I spoke to Stacy who directed me to Freddie at the shop so I could actually discuss the building process with him. Both Stacy and Freddie were extremely helpful with info. I was put in touch with Jayco owner, Jeff, who patiently spent considerable time on the phone with me explaining the hows and whys of the best options to include in my particular design. The whole process was above what I expected. My custom armadillo turned out exactly as Jay and I decided on, with him assuring me hed have a watchful eye on the build. This was a five star experience all the way!

I contacted Jayco Industries at the end of October, 2019 to order an Armadillo mailbox with front access.The total cost for the mailboxes, (mine and my neighbors) was $3, 090.31. I was told it came with a Black Powder Coat Finish and was constructed of 14 gauge steel and equipped with a Master Lock, I was advised that there would be a lead time of 2-3 weeks.I ordered two boxes because my neighbor and I share a post and our old mailbox was becoming unsightly, rusty and in some places deteriorating.The old mailbox, an Armadillo was approximately 10 years old. Since we live near the ocean we understand that outdoor items have a short shelf life as the sun, salt, and humidity takes a toll.(Below is the warranty in its entirety).Immediately after installation, the master lock began to fail. To their credit they sent a service employee over to replace the lock. The photo of the lock is below.After leaving several voicemails for Stacy, Jay and Laurie, I finally wrote a note on July 30, 2020. Only eight months after installation.(Jay was ccd on this email.Hi Laurie,I hope this email finds you all well.As you know I have contacted you, Stacy and Jay several times over the course of the last month and have not received a response from Jay or anyone willing to provide me with an update in regard to the mailboxes that my neighbor and I purchased from Jayco Industries in October 30, 2019, and installed on November 20, 2019. I believe our communication has been clear and friendly, but honestly I am getting frustrated that it appears to be a one way communication process. I have been told several times that Jay will call me. To date, and after leaving several voicemail messages, he has not made the call.Ive been asked to take photos of the mailboxes, which I did immediately and sent in email directly to you, Laurie on July 10th. I followed up with phone calls, left voicemail messages on every contact number Ive been given. I have been told that Jay will contact me. To date, I have not spoken with Jay. He has not called me. I have, however, left him several voicemail messages. I have not received a phone call back. When I speak with someone (Stacy), I am told that Jay will contact me directly. Again, that has not happened either. I understand there is a pandemic but a phone call should not be an impediment during this time.Jayco Industries, LLC provides a one (1) year limited warranty to the original purchase covering defects in material and workmanship if reported in writing to Jayco Industries within one (1) year of the delivery date. This warranty is limited to the cost of the products and odes not include installation costs, transportation, neglect or costs, misuse or alterations by the customer. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, as such this limitation and exclusion may not apply to you.
