BE WARNED, NOT A 24 HOUR STORE. Wasted gasoline driving over here right now as they are falsely advertising that they are supposedly a 24 hour location. Money in hand, ready to buy a basket full of toiletries, essentials, etc. I guess they didnt need my business? No signs posted on the door to explain. Nothing. Incredibly disappointing experience.

The only positive for this location is 24 hr availability, period! Management has changed several times & regardless of whos running it, it remains absolutely the WORST pharmacy in Escondido. Inept automated prescription refill system, poor communication with customers, ridiculously long lines and shuffling customers from window to window only to wait in another long line, poor response to doctors office staff. Consistently terrible!

All the workers are super friendly and efficient. I got my vaccine here and the whole process was very smooth. It only took a couple of minutes between entering to getting the shot.

This has to be the worst CVS I have ever visited. Not a single employee knew how to do their simple job. The manager was rude and disrespectful. And dont even bother getting a COVID-19 test here. The results that were supposed to come in 1-2 days took 5. This CVS is not well kept up at all. I pray for the next poor customer who stops by.

It is Friday April 16th, 2021 @ 1:53 AM and I came to my local 24 hour store to get something I needed urgently, or I wouldnt be here at this time considering I reside in Valley Center. I did look at the website to make sure they were still a 24 hour store. It said open 24hours, so I headed out for some over the counter medicine for my disabled husband and I get here and there are people inside working but the door is locked. Why does the website say theyre open 24hours still? Why are they closed? Im gonna be calling corporate as soon as they open to let them know too. Because this was not only a waste of my time but a waste of my gas as well, and Im going to have to go tell my husband to just suffer through till my local pharmacy opens at 8AM and this is just another item on my list of why CVS is my LAST RESORT STOP. I can not stand this corporation and I wish Walgreens would buy them out. At least they are customer driven not money driven.

Wonderful experience. After being in the ER for over 7 hours, it was nice to be greeted with a smile. I was told it would take 15 minutes to fill my prescriptions and it was done in less than five. Both pharmacists and assistant were friendly and informative. This is my new hometown pharmacy.

This place only has 2.4 stars - coincidentally I left there feeling like they deserved a 2 star rating. Grouchy old man was the cashier who did not seem in the mood for doing anything helpful. I asked if they had international stamps and he practically shouted No! Well, thats one way to get the message across... No reason to go back to this unfriendly place. Their 2 star review is deserved and almost unanimous. Oof CVS

I am a DoorDash driver and I was sent to go pick up a couple of item at 10:43pm and when I got there it was a very rude old man that did not want to let me in! I also was not let in by the manager! This caused my perfect completion rate on DoorDash to drop! If your not allowed to shop then why do you say it open for DoorDash costumers to order? Very bad CVC. Don’t accept DoorDash orders of your not gonna let them in!!!

Although I had to give this review one star in order to post it, I would have given them 0 stars. Very disappointed with their customer service as employees were rude and did not have any intentions to help. They did not feel the need to notify me that my insurance was no longer covered, and when I asked to have my prescription sent to another pharmacy, the representative that was “assisting” me rolled her eyes at me before asking management. It appears that they could have sent my prescription to eliminate/reduce wait time, but the representative chose not not help me.After reading similar reviews, I wonder if anyone from CVS actually takes the time read customer feedback as the customer service at this location is nonexistent. I will no longer go to CVS for any purchases and will not recommend this CVS to my friends and family.

Today I came in to print a photo book as a birthday gift. I get on the computer and connect my phone and as I am choosing the photos this short lady with black and gray hair was rushing me, Do you know how long you are going to be? One of our computers are down and this gentleman needs to print photos.I said it shouldnt be long but I am creating a photo book and I want it to be special. I ended up getting off the computer to allow the man to get on and print his photos although I was there first. Very rude and the lady, Loretta says to me ,Yeah, we arent supposed to be charging our phones on there. I replied, I have my phone connected to the USB in order to create a book is that okay? She rolls her eyes and says, Okay.That is extremely rude of her and CVS needs to talk to their employees ESPECIALLY managers about customer service.

The new policy is to NOT FILL prescriptions your insurance doesn’t cover. Then when you go to pick up the person at pick up acts as if the non covered prescription never showed up. This is very inconvenient when you are expecting prescriptions from specialists for tests, since NO ONE answers the phone or returns calls before the next day. JUST CHOOSE ANOTHER PHARMACY THEY ARE INTERESTED IN TRAPPING YOU IN THE STORE FOR 30 MINUTES SO YOU BUY MORE STUFF. Much more profitable for them than serving you by calling and telling you the insurance won’t cover.

Actually, my 5 stars are not for CVS, But for El Norte Pharmacy a couple of blocks over..Ive been dealing with Miguel and Kathy for a number of years and am very happy they they decided to open up their own pharmacy. These are the kindest, most helpful people Ive dealt with for my pharmacy needs. I recommend them and you wont ever be upset walking into a pharmacy again

If I could put zero stars I would. I went to pick up a prescription at 10:02pm on Saturday night and my 13 year old son needed to use the restroom. They would not open the bathroom since it was past 10pm and no exceptions were to be made. I spoke with the night person in charge and she said no. Thankfully Vons understood customer service. I picked up my prescription, but will never give this store my business again.

I was sent here by Kaiser because this CVS fills Kaiser prescriptions. On my first visit I explained that I switched over to Kaiser and need to get my Kaiser prescription filled. After a LOT of back and forth for over a month, I still don’t have my meds. The reason? CVS doesn’t have my Kaiser prescription on file. They keep trying to use a prescription from Sharp despite the fact that I tell them it’s the wrong prescription and to get the prescription from Kaiser EVERY SINGLE TIME I talk to them. Their incompetence is affecting people’s health. I’ve missed work because without my meds I get really sick. Honestly, it should be illegal to be so bad at your job when you work in healthcare.Update: it took 6 weeks and filing a formal complaint with Kaiser before CVS would finally fill my prescription. Now, nearly a month later, I’m going through the same aggravating experience trying to get a refill. I told the people at this CVS THREE times that they have to call Kaiser to get the updated prescription, but they never did. After spending my entire lunch break talking to extremely incompetent people, and being put on hold forever, I finally gave up. I went in after work and finally was able to talk to someone who knows how to do their job, but by that time Kaiser was already closed, so yet another day wasted by the incompetence of CVS, and another day closer to running out of my meds.

There reorder by phone is screwed up. Said they would be ready Sept 1 2019. This is Nov 12 2019. There website reorder said the store number didnt match the prescription number. Got all the info off the bottle. Then I phoned them and got some girl that had no clue and wouldnt stop talking so I could tell her what I needed. I gave her one that Im out of and she said Ill remove it from your profile. She just kept yaking and I finally had to get rude and tell her to stop talking and listen to what I was saying. Terrible service.

The management needs to replace who ever was operating the pharmacy last night. She was very rude to the lady who came in from the ER last night. When people are having the worst time of there lives, people in medical and pharmacy need to understand that there job means more than just a pay check. Hypacratic Oath, she took her lunch instead of helping them real quick. They were the only people there and had to wait 35 minutes. Not good CVS, no wonder this location has a poor rating.

The pharmacy tends to make up rules as they go! Seems they think their patients are stupid! Refills can not be filled until the day they are due. The fact is they CAN be filled at 28 days. So if you going in to fill RX before work on the 30th day they CLAIME they can’t fill the prescription before 10 am on the due date. Or they CLAIM they HAVE to wait two hours to fill it! There is NO such law or rules! Stuff like we need the doctors approval! The signature PROVES the doctor approves! They lose a truckload of narcotics & in response to that degree of negligence on their part they choose to waste the patients time and money!

I went in last night was going to buy a cup. But noticed there were noticeble scratches on it. Just my luck it was the only one. As I showed the lady that worked there. She was a older lady with short red hair, said she cant do anything about it. Take it or leave it. I was surprised how rude she was. As I read the reviews in yelp. The people that work there really do act like they hate working there. If you dont like working for costumer service you shouldnt be working there in the first place.

Certainly understaffed but it has gotten better from previous years. Some employees must be avoided as they move very slow. Meds have always been correct and they are simply VERY busy. Do not expect fast service and go during non rush hours and it is much better.If you go right after work... your going to wait. Dont fool yourself.

Been coming here for about 10 years and service has become a nightmare. This place used to be friendly, efficient and organized. Staff telling you the medication is pending an authorization 3 days after your request was placed. Infant daughter needs the medication asap and I decide to cpme in and there is nothing documenting that I called to refill or that auth is pending. Can another pharmacy in escondido just extend your hours please??? I am willing to pay extra for exceptional service. Not the staff that lies, looses prescriptions, tell patients meds werent sent in when u have obtained paperwork indicating otherwise. Terrible service. Never getting medication here again.

My husband was injured from his back and can barely walk so we had his prescription sent here. They asked us to have a seat and they would call us up in about 15min. We waited for about 45min and no one ever called our name. I go to ask and the SAME lady who asked us to have a seat said oh, youre still here? No one called you Remind you shes been checking out people as they walked in. Ugh, so IRRITATING! SECOND! I call to check on my prescription since they had an automated system call me TWICE to say its been ready and to my surprise the lady says its NOT READY! umm, really? I ask the woman how much is the prescription, she says do you have insurance, I say yes, then she says I dont know, Im not a geenie.... ALL I wanted was the price of the bottle because then I know that with my insurance it would be cheaper!! The geenies name is BECKY!THEY NEED TO TRAIN THESE PEOPLE BETTER OR SEND THEM TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE TEACHING COURSE! However, respect & manners should come naturally...maybe the blame should be the PARENTS!

They need more people to help the extremely long line of customers. Ive had it with this place and am in the process of looking for a different pharmacy. I had been going to this CVS for over 15 years. I enjoyed going here and the employees made it feel like it was a small neighborhood pharmacy. In the last couple years the employees have changed and the excellent ones hours have been cut back. Now I sultry to injury my sons medication which we have been filling for over 15 years we are told has to be verified by his doctor because his doctor is not in escondido. We are not meth heads and they have seen our faces for 15 years and they look at us with no empathy. They say the pharmacy manager policy. Would have been nice to have been notified first off. Secondly , our doctor is horrible at returning calls. And due to how strict the FDA and I esurance is you only have a 5 day window to fill the prescription. So between work and that you want to then make it harder. Well, you lost our business at this location. Between my son, my husband and myself you lost at least a $1,000/mo of prescriptions. Hope that is working out for ya and your meth head policy. Why dont you actually take the time to use your judgement and know your clientele then you would know which you are prescribing to.

This place is awful! Ive been in here numerous times, and each time it was a Id rather not come back here experience. Let me start with reason ONE : I came in here at 5am before work one day (im a younger girl) & the creepiest guy comes up to me asking me all these personal questions. I had my work shirt on ( Krispy Kreme in Carmel mountain) & he was asking me oh you work there but live here thats fAr, and started asking where around here do I live, where I go to school, how old I am, etc ; I literally felt like I was being stalked by an EMPLOYEE! now reason TWO: I came in there a few weeks before the last incident because I noticed a hiring sign so I went in to ask the lady about it. It was fairly busy. But I walked up to a lady just standing there watching the line, and I said,excuse me maam, I noticed the now hiring ad on the door... she didnt even let me finish. She cut me off, put her hand in my face to stop my sentence & told me goonline to our website someone will call you have a nice day. I was so appalled. I just hate this cvs & I think the managers need to do some revising on their staff.

Forced to do business with them from health insurance. Worst service imaginable. Besides 45 min. on hold, every employee except for John the manager, is incompetent. Ive caught them lying so many times! They say your doctor hasnt sent your prescription but two different times, my Dr. DID send the prescription. Someone told me today that they lose them sometimes so I said that should never happen. They hung up on me.
