Do your homework and get a second quote. this company over estimates by double which is a rip off considering they have a minimum during peak season. I received a quote for 7 hrs for three men plus 30 minutes of travel which I immediately thought was ridiculous. Everything was pre wrapped and boxed at our walk through. Turns out, their estimate was really off. My husband and I moved everything in 4.5 hrs from start to finish. We are in our mid 40s. We were only TWO people, not three professional males yet we did it in half the time?!!!!! Makes u wonder. Response time is slow too. Can’t speak to the moving but they always bang things up.

RJ, Alan & Isaiah did a great job of taking great care of our belongings during our move over a period of two days and multiple pick up stops. They took care of packing our fragile items and artwork, all of which made the trip in one piece & in great shape. They were efficient and tidy. The office staff was also very accommodating and willing to help/offer solutions in a timely manner. I WOULD use Naglee movers again!

I was previously in the military, and so had multiple professional moves done. This time, I was having my moms household moved from central NY to MI so she could live near me.Naglees bid came in slightly higher than a competitors. However, I chose them because their office is well-run and communication is clear.This was the smoothest move Ive ever had. Paperwork was sent electronically. From the initial visit for the estimate to the final delivery, all work was done exactly on schedule, communication was seamless, and our goods were handled carefully. Great company with terrific customer service!

Issues:1. Payment: if you use your credit card, payment in full will be taken out almost immediately after your goods are loaded. I was given incorrect information by the agent.2. Naglees didnt move us. Browns from Syracuse did. I never had any notification from Naglees regarding this.3. I had to call Naglees on the day of the move to get an ETA. The driver was supposed to call and didnt.4. Our goods had to be moved in two trucks because the first truck didnt have enough room. Our goods were mixed in with other peoples goods.5. Not all of our goods were properly stickered.6. Packers climbed on our goods to stack other things on top.7. Not all furniture items were sufficiently protected: an antique folding bookshelf got severely scratched and splintered and our kitchen chairs had some paint rubbed off. Our sewing machine had the paint rubbed off in several places. A hope chest was packed on end.8. I didn’t find out how much our load weighed (despite several requests) until three weeks after the van was loaded. Reimbursement for weight overestimation is done 30 days after delivery.9. The process of claiming for missing and damaged items has been hindered because the movers failed to follow their own procedure.Ultimately, we have determined that four items were damaged (two minimally) and nine items are missing. (One box is missing that had two items in it that we know for sure. Whether there were other items in that box, we don’t know.) Of the missing items, only one is of any sentimental value. We have just filed a claim form for the missing and damaged items. We are getting a check for the missing/damaged items at a rate of $.60/pound for around $100 (which is the contracted rate).I asked Naglee’s personnel more than once if anyone had reached out to the people who had their possessions loaded just behind ours to see if they had any of our things. After several requests, I was told that they did that. I honestly question how diligently this was done.Space doesnt allow me to give as detailed an account as Id like. At this point I give Naglee’s a C- overall and a D- in communication - though the agent I dealt with was almost always quick to acknowledge my questions and requests and we continue to communicate while I wait for the check for the missing/damaged items and our weight difference reimbursement. I’d tell anyone who is looking for a mover to really look around before using them. I could have and probably should have done my homework on how to make sure the mover does it right, and my move may have been the “Perfect Storm” of circumstances and mistakes; however, in my opinion, Naglee’s has a lot of work to do before I’d go with them again.Addendum: After 30+ days I asked our agent where the refund on the weight difference was. Its supposed to be refunded 30 days after delivery. It was refunded 39 days after delivery. All things considered thats not horrible, but I wonder how long it would have been had I not asked for it. I do not blame our agent. This wasnt his responsibility.

I had been charged 25%, more for my auto transport without warning or a call. Also was charged $125. To pack my mattresses in boxes that the driver did not bring, and both Matts water soiled. Ryan Marsh said he would fix it for me but he hasnt called in 3 weeks. Still waiting.

My best experience of three long-distance (>4hrs) moves I have made in the last 10 years. Friendly, professional, on-time service. No damage to household goods. I highly recommend Naglee!

Nagley’s really bailed us out of a jam when another local moving company backed out on us at the very last minute. Ryan and his team really came through. Their three man crew worked extremely hard and finished our move in record time even during one of the hottest days we have had this summer. Hats off to their crew. We couldn’t be happier. I have moved 4 times in the last 6 years due simply to relocating for the company that employs me. I have had plenty of experience working with moving companies both nationally and locally and Naglee Moving and Storage is the worst company that I have dealt with. It is a shame that United Vanlines allows them to be a local representative for them because the entire service from beginning to end was less than ideal. The communication, the level of transparency, and the customer service was a great reflection on how NOT to create a business model. I would not let them move my belongings if they offered to move me for free in the future. I wish that the ratings system would allow me to leave a zero star rating but it wont so they received one star from me out of default. In full disclosure due to the failures on their end they discounted me $200 ($100 Naglee/$100 United) but in my opinion was too insufficient relative to the inconvenience caused.

Worst experience. Moved us to a new home. Multiple items are damaged. They wont stand by it and offered to pay $5.00. After delivery and setup we discovered tons of damaged items.

Thank you to Naglee and crew! They work so hard, are super efficient and knowledgeable and go above and beyond. Moving is stressful and they’re super helpful with so much as well as careful not to ding walls etc.
