I love this place. More often then not you are greeted with a Hello upon arrival. The staff is usually available and ready to help you out, answer questions, help you find things you are looking for. Theyll even walk you through your project if they are knowledgeable about it. After your done shopping theyll even help you take things out to your car and help load it up if you need the assistance. Highly recommend this store.

Walmart of hardware stores. Great paint selection, misc home supplies, many tools on hand as well. Usually not too crowded. They also send a nice gift out on your birthday so you should register with them.

Always good customer service and have all product in stock. Summer, yard supplies are excellent. They hire many high school staff which is outstanding and teaching them the ways of good work ethic. Nice community minded store.

Got some on sale bird seed for the feeders. Went during a rain storm and the city seriously needs to clean out parking lot sewers. There was a flood in the parking lot! Better marking of Handicap Parking could be done also. Noted a number of regular customers parking in Handicap Parking area due to heavy rain. Less space for those who needed it!!!

On this particular visit to Valu Home Centers; I was looking to replace a toilet seat that had broken.Upon arrival to the store and beginning to start walking toward the aisle where said toilet seats are located; I was greeted by an employee asking me Can I help you with anything Sir?. Normally Im not a big fan of unprompted interactions from store personnel; however in this case the employees polite demeanor made the interaction quite pleasant.The fact that the employee was polite and courteous; using words such as please, thanks and sir; made a world of difference. It was a very welcome and unexpected bright spot in an otherwise aggravating day. As simple common courtesy has become a rarity sadly enough.As this was my second experience with having to replace my toilet seat; my frustration level was high. The employees actions helped to improve my mood; a big plus for what would normally be an irritating shopping trip at best.As stated being my second time getting a replacement toilet seat; I was familiar with the location of the seats and as such politely declined the employees offer of assistance and thanked them for the courteousy of asking me nicely if I needed any help.I proceeded to get the seat I had come for; as I already knew what I wanted when I arrived. The selection of seats was decent and they had what I was looking for in stock.I purchased the seat I was looking for; in what again was a surprisingly courteous conversation. The polite employees, ease of locating what I was looking for and the fact they had what I needed in stock made for an overall great shopping trip.The fact that the shopping trip also unexpectedly brightened my day makes it a 5 star visit. Overall from my experiences with this store; Id have to say that I recommend this location.

I had AMAZING service from 2 associates(Alex Rocchi & Gavin).Alex loaded numerous bags(I think 56?) of potting soil on a cart for me TWICE! AND helped me load it in my truck! He also helped me find fencing I needed & decide what kind of posts to use for it. He was EXTREMELY kind & patient with me, my questions & babbling!Gavin quickly rang me out so I could leave to load my truck!Both employees are an asset to Valu Hardware!Gavin even stated how much he admired Alex for his mechanical abilities!Of course Ill return!♡ this place!

I came across two employees that were so helpful but at the register I was asked about a rewards card but never offered to sign me up. Just pointed to a brochure. Thats not an aggressive way to drive loyalty and your rewards program I see advertised on TV. You should register them right at checkout

Convient and great values on things

Good prices and selection, makes a good first job for teens, but because of that if you need more help than the location of your item, like tool or material advice find an older employee to ask, most hardware stores are like that

I love this store. Super helpful staff. I always find things I need and if they dont have it, it can be ordered. Only had to do that once for a hose timer. I rent the carpet cleaner regularly. Everything is always clean and organized.

Great people - Really crappy paint. The Infinity brand is the absolute worst paint with which I have ever painted in 45 years.A client asked me to do a job, but wanted to buy the paint herself. you have to put it on thick to cover, but its so thin, that it runs everywhere. Avoid if you possibly can afford to buy a better brand.

This place in Southport Plaza and they have good sturdy tools at a reasonable price the employees are always very helpful and will help you when available. Only downside is that me and my wife saw a mouse in the middle of the store running around. and the neighborhood is a nice place to live as well.
