The guy is nice but gives off a weird vibe. He The store is not clean, all bottles are very dusty, like they havent been cleaned in years.Everything is very expensive and while tending the register he was making polite conversation as indistracting me from paying attention to the prices . No receipt was tendered after paying 38 dls and I left with the impression that the total was 32. I didnt have time to compare prices but he charged me 18 dls for a bottle of wine that wouldve cost me 8 elsewhere .

So hospitable and friendly! I picked out something and he actually suggested a different bottle that was cheaper on sale and better quality and made sure to give me a cold bottle out of the back rather then the warm stuff on a shelf up front. Lovely funny man. And they are open earlier then other places in the area! Won’t be going anywhere else.

Went there cause Chicago stops selling at 9pm and they are open til 10pm. Very friendly guy. We chatted a bit. I recommend this store.

Neil was always a Nice Guy that is when you were buying his something at his store. Higher prices but it’s local. Then came the day I purchased a 4 pack of Toppling Goliath Golden Nugget IPA, I had the beer at Marianos the day before and it was delicious. He suggested I purchase another 4 pack so I did. Got home had the four pack poured one of the cans from the other 4 pack and it tasted Horrible. I looked at the bottom of the can and it was a year older than the other 4 pack. Went back in to show Neil and he says, “ I can’t do anything”, “there is a beer missing.” I said yeah that was the bad one and they are all the same batch. He said you can take 3 from the other 4 packs I go to look at the other 4 packs and they are all way over a year old with the same born on date!I told him know I want my money back or a different beer, he says he can’t do it.I told him your distributor can reimburse you.He Was Persistent at doing Nothing for me after all these years!! Wow 😮 Sorry I won’t b back Neil. You know you bought that outdated beer For Penny’s on the Dollar and Now you lost a Loyal Customer!

I just moved here from out of state and the presumable owner told me Im using a fake id as well as threatened to keep my lisence and turn me over to local authorities. Ive never had such horrible service anywhere in my life!

The bald guy has been totally mischaracterized here - hes always down for a friendly chat and the inventory speaks for itself. Hes a liquor store owner - not a sommelier. Nice selection of domestic and craft beer - plenty of liquor and whatever else you need, even cigars.

Small neighborhood liquor store. Beer selection is hit and miss.. Owner is a real nice guy and fun to talk to.
