When spending my money with any company, I expect good service. When I receive excellent service I like to write about it, and thats what I received with Computer Essentials, in particular Mike Slicer and Ethan at the Ellsworth Location.About a year ago I purchased a relatively high end business laptop from Dell (regrettably I did not purchase from CE!). Over the past few weeks Ive had rather strange problems with it which were random and hard to duplicate at times.Mike & Ethan not only found the problem in less than an hour, they also discovered that I was still covered under warranty for one more day! They took the time to find the information I needed on the computer, and emailed me a direct link to the folks at Dell I needed to speak with. Im a layperson, but something important inside the computer fried, and the replacement part would have cost me about $1,000. Mike and Ethan did not have to tell me about my warranty...I would have never known. They didnt have to go above and beyond to get me right where I needed to be with Dell, but they did.Its that level of service and integrity that reminds me why doing business locally with the little guys is far superior to the big box stores. I can assure you that every computer purchase and repair from this point forward will be only with Computer Essentials. They are now my computer go-to people.Thanks again!

If I could give 10 stars I would. While on vacation I went into the store looking for a very specific charging cord that I left at home by accident. These guys were THE ONLY store in the area that had what I needed. Joel was extremely helpful and so kind. He was knowledgeable on his products and was extremely fair priced. My husband and I have been customers of Computer Essentials for almost 10 years. We tried two other places once, and we quickly returned to C.E. Love the staff and their knowledge. My only complaint is the turnaround time for service. In this day and age of instant gratification, most people do not want to wait 3-4 days for their repair. That being said, I wont take our laptop anywhere else, even if we have to wait a few days. Thank you.

I had Mike and his team build me a custom computer of a specific design that would be blazingly fast and have high capacity for storage. To quote the late Yogi Berra, They exceeded my expectations and did even better! I am not a gamer but I do want a computer that loads programs very quickly and can store a lot of pictures, old classic movies, and documents. They delivered on what Mike said they could do. Great job! Im totally satisfied.UPDATE 10/10/20 In the last year our family purchased 2 new ASUS laptops with Computer Essentials. In both cases Joel did the setup by installing the software and getting the computers ready right out of the box. Everything has worked flawlessly. For much of the week Joel is working alone in the store doing repairs, ordering new computers for clients, setting them up as he did for us, answering the phones, and so on. He is one busy guy, but he certainly served our family well. He deserves a 5 star review!

Purchased a computer case that was broken, which was no fault of there own it appears to have been damaged in shipping. Their customer service was great when doing the return.

Good service good pricing and they know their stuff

I took a new laptop with a damaged screen into this business for repairs. The repairs were made timely but in doing so the processor was damaged. Mistakes happen, but this was a major inconvenience as this was my work computer. However, I have to say they made it right, which in the end involved replacing the computer. They took responsibility for the damage without excuses. I would recommend them for their competence, but more importantly their honesty and integrity.

The most expensive computer repairs around, and are still paying their employees less than the gas station next door. There is so much dirt on this place, it isnt even funny. IF you happen to take your computer in here for repairs, purchase your own parts first so you know you are getting genuine OEM product as opposed to Chinese garbage off of E-Bay.

We called and explained the problem, went to the store, explained problem again, while they took notes. The repair tech never got the notes. After a week we called and had to explain problem to technician who had no clue why he had my p,c. Tech said he couldnt reproduce the error. Got p.c. back, same error popped up after about 10 minutes, problem NOT FIXED.

I have had three experiences with Computer Essentials within the past year. Twice to repair my computer and once to sell them my used MacBook Air. The first visit was when I changed out the hard drive to a solid state drive for my MacBook Pro. I tried to do it myself and when I couldnt I took it to Computer Essentials. The technician, Paul made short work of it and is friendly as well. The second trip was to sell them my MacBook Air. The manager, Brian gave me a fair price that matched Gazelle. The third trip was recently when I tried to change out the battery on my MacBook Pro. I stripped the screws holding the battery in place and again Paul repaired the computer.They are friendly, helpful, and charge reasonable prices. Thank you Computer Essentials in Ellsworth.

Most expensive repair place in the area. Only thing cheap about this place is its quality of service.

Great service...but I may be biased since I work there too sometimes.

I am not computer savvy. Mike and Joel treated me with respect and did not treat me like a blinking idiot. We have done business with these folks for years and wouldnt think of going elsewhere.
