We have been pleased with Main Street Music for many reasons and Matt Wheeler is a huge part of it. The reason that brought us to Main Street Music in the first place was the fantastic lessons provided to my daughter in acoustic and electric guitar as well as ukulele. I have also taken a few lessons from him as well. He is an excellent guitar player and is very knowledgeable about music theory. Not only is he an talented musician, he is able to take concepts that are complicated and make them easy to understand and fun to learn. My daughter has been taking lesson with him for over 2 years and we will continue.Another reason why we love Main Street Music is the owner, Jamie. Over the past few years, we have purchased instruments, amps, cords, and sound equipment. I dont know as much as some other people who have been around music a lot more. He is always very helpful and takes the time to explain things to me. Matt Wheeler GuitarI’ve been taking guitar lessons from Matt for 2 months and would highly recommend him.As a beginner with no musical background (just picked up my first guitar in June 2021) I am blown away by Matt’s ability to guide me with new songs and techniques to grow my skills.I’ve merely mentioned a song I’d like to learn, he listens to it and can break down the chords and patterns to create a plan for me to practice with.Definitely schedule lessons from Matt, just not my time slot!

Our son started with Matt Wheeler a year ago and went from a knowing very little to being pretty advanced in playing and in his knowledge of the different parts mastering guitar. My son cant say enough about how Matt has taught him and helped him learn away from the lessons as well. Matt is a pretty awesome talent as well if you search him. He is also a very nice person who expects his students to work on assignments so lessons are most valuable. Highly recommend for those that are interested in beyond the basics.

My daughter has been taking electric guitar lessons with Matt Wheeler for almost a year and a half and we couldn’t be happier about his teaching! Matt is very nice and patient and very knowledgeable about music. He does a great job of teaching the necessary basics, but also customizes his lessons based on learning styles and offers additional knowledge like music theory. My daughter has learned to much from Matt and gained so much confidence. I highly recommend Matt if anyone is interested in music lessons!

I started guitar lessons with Matt Wheeler a little over a year ago. He not only is a great instructor but can adapt to any learning style for anyone’s needs. Sometimes we spend half the lesson talking about random things and that’s what a good lesson teacher should do. When times have to get serious, they are serious but if your not having fun, your doing it wrong. Jamie at Main Street has been the most easy going and cool dude in the shop that I know. He has taught me many guitar skills and tech tips as well. Highly recommend this place as I now drive almost a hour weekly to do lessons with Matt!

I will bring all of my guitars here for any services I need in the future. I recently brought a guitar of mine here to get some pick ups replaced and to get a set up. Ordered an Ibanez guitar during covid through them. Even though things were back ordered at Ibanez, Main Street was extremely informative and gave me updates whenever available. They even set up my guitar for me when it came. Will definitely be back in the future. Thanks guys!

Called ahead about a piano music book. The phone was answered promptly. Since the store was small, it was easy to find what I needed quickly. Cashier was friendly and kindly ran to my van with my purchase when I forgot it on the counter. Its right off a busy highway, so be prepared!

Love the knowledgeable staff and small businesses atmosphere. They have great competitive prices on everything. We starting going here when my daughter started band. They have an AMAZING rental program for anyone with a kid starting band. I wont go anywhere else even though weve moved away from the area they are still my place for anything music related.

We have used Mainstreet a few times. Once was through another music store for repair and the last time we stopped ourselves taking out the middle man. They did some normal repairs to my daughters instrument. But for some reason not all of the supplies used were the same. Our music teacher said screws were loose still and it looks like a grandmas quilt with all the new stuff being different. Not sure what happened. We waited longer than we were told, and had to call several times to find out the status of our repair.

Very unprofessional. I brought an older receiver in to be repaired. The repair tech (Everett) said he would call me with the diagnosis (Damages) in a few days. A week had passed and no call....So I called and spoke with Jamie and told him of the situation. He said he would leave a message on Everetts desk because he wasnt in. Lets just say two weeks and three calls later I picked up my reciever due to no reponse. I dont believe Ill attempt to give them any of my future business. Sad I thought they were a cool store.
