Awful experience. Had to bring the car back multiple times. Got the car back with more problems than I had when I originally brought it there. Very slow to get the car back. Repairs needed to be fixed again, within a months time. Expensive place for amateur work. I will NEVER be back to Adam or his shop. Seemed like a nice guy, wow was I fooled. Have to take my car to another shop to fix things properly.

The team at J&Z is very experienced and knowledgeable with foreign car brands. Theyve done quite a bit of work on my Porsche 911 and Mazda MX5 (Miata). Joe came over to pick up the vehicle and run it back to the shop to evaluate the system. The truck was gone for a couple hours and it wasgetting late in the day so I thought I’d walk down the street to pick it up, save him a trip.It wasn’t ten minutes later, Joe pulls up in the truck, he walks in with what I thought was a quote. I’ve been using them on and off for the past 16 years. The thing I respect most about this shop is they tell you how it is. My first car was falling apart, and they fixed a few things but finally gave me a quote how much it would cost to repair and said it’s not worth it because the car was beat up over the years by prior owners… Since then I’ve had 3 other cars serviced with them and was never disappointed. They are not the cheapest out there but at the same time I never had to bring my car back for the same problem which I feel means a lot. I personally like to drop off my car once and get it done right and not waste time.

The team at J&Z has worked on multiple vehicles of mine, saving me thousands from the dealer. For my Mazda MX5, the dealer quoted me over 1k for brakes and these guys did it for much less. Also to note, they are family owned & operated and have been in the area for a long time, just a testament to their great work.

I was so nervous because my car was making a weird noise. They were extremely kind and transparent about the issue and fixed her up in a timely manner. So honest and not slimy like a lot of shops... Very appreciative I’ve found them and issue is gone!

So I reach out to this mechanic and ask them exactly how much time will they need for the repair it turned out that a two-day repair turn into 15 days it only took a 5 days to tell me exactly what I told them was wrong. So they only lied to me just to get me in. I have taken my car to different mechanics but these have been the worst experience I ever had these people are con artist and crooks. I was better off taking my truck to a dealership please avoid this mechanic hes a liar.

Just had an opportunity to use J & Z for the first time. They were recommended a while back, but I was sticking with a shop I had used years ago in Jefferson Park. An excellent overall experience with J&Z. Joe took a close thoughtful look at my Civic, told me all about what needed done, and why, and about possible other options. Then did exactly what he promised, at exactly the price he quoted. Adam in the reception keeps you informed and feeling like you, the customer, actually matter. Neat!

I can not recommend this place enough! They saved me $1,000. I first brought my car to a dealership for an oil change. They then told me I needed all this work done on my brakes and it would be $1,000. I hadn’t noticed anything wrong, but honestly don’t know a ton about cars. So I brought my car to J & Z Garage, and they were amazing to work with. I told them what the dealer had told me, and they said they would take a look. They then let me know that my brakes looked completely fine and the pads had some wear, and would want to get them changed durning my next oil change. I am 100% coming to J & Z for any mechanic work I need on my car from now on!

I am from out of town and was looking for a shop to get my brakes fixed, as they were grinding pretty bad. I saw many good reviews on J & Z and decided to give them a try. I couldnt have been more pleased with the outcome. These are some really nice people! Not only did they do a great job in a timely manner at a fair price, but they also kindly offered to give me a ride both back to my motel and then again to the shop to pick up my vehicle when it was ready. Ive been coming to J&Z Garage for years with several cars, thanks to a friends recommendation originally, and Ive always found the service here to be pleasant, trustworthy, very competent and reasonably priced. Most recently I came in the evening to fix something which was causing the engine to run rough. They knew right away what was the cause, and fixed it promptly the next day. They even fixed a mechanical problem with the drivers door that I mentioned but hadnt expected to be fixed! Thats going above and beyond expectations! Thank you Joe & Adam!!!

Very bad customer service, they don’t know anything about Honda cars, and their employees have really bad attitude, I took my 2014 Honda to have them checked out and they they tried to take good parts out of my car without my knowledge and that’s why they asked me to sit outside and they took my car inside soon as they opened up hood I stopped them because there mechanic tried to get into my cars engine. People be ware of this place before you take your car.

DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!First almost impossible to setup appointment. Next I paid $150 for the oil change for Mercedes because its close to my work place. They didnt have the machine to reset maintenance counter so I had to go the dealer service. It turns out the oil change was so HORRIBLY done that oil was overly filled and split everywhere.Now I have to pay for dealer service to re-do the oil change properly and the cleaning.

This is the best garage in the area. Their services are amazing. Location is fantastic.

Wonderful garage They repaired our car after a serious accident. They did a fantastic work. We couldnt be more happier.

Went in because I had a big nail stuck in my tire and needed a flat repair. Another shop had tried to sell me a new tire for $200 but J&Z just took a look at it, pulled out the nail, confirmed that it didnt go all the way through and sent me on my way. It was great to have someone honest take care of this problem!

Chevy couldnt figure it out, Joe and Adam did.An annoying clicking on my relatively new Chevy Silverado was driving me nuts. Chevy dealer thought that dried leaves had somehow entered my vehicles heating system and were being hit by the fan. I took it to Joe when nothing changed.The next thing I see is Joe checking the area with a stethoscope. They found it.. Turns out that a CD was stuck (for months) in my player. They ejected it. Problem solved. No charge. Always Excellent Service!!!!

I have taken my car to this repair shop, since my co-worker suggested me. I thought I should give them a try since they are cheaper than the people I used to take.They told me they will look at my car today and call me.I took my car in at 8:15am and they had the whole day to just check under my car where I had my fuel leaking.I waited for the call but they did not call so I called them at 4pm to check if my car was ok. They told me that they have not looked under my car yet and will look at it right now and give me a call about it.They did not.I need my car so went there to get my car at 6pm but they made me wait until 6:30pm. I thought some one will help me but no one did and an old man was talking with another customer. It seemed like they were just chatting. I did not like that service.He man told me he will fix it first thing tomorrow morning, But I could not trust them anymore so I took my car back.I live in the sub burbs and I need a car to move around.They could at least call and told me earlier so that I could go rent a car or something. I dont think you can call this place good service When they dont follow what they promise. When you tell a person you will call that is a promise to a customer and need to keep the promise or you will loose your trust.Trust is hard to build but it is so easy to break.

Was recommended highly to go there, but disappointed with service. Only had an oil change with agreement to top off all fluids. Found myself with no windshield washer solvent while driving on the interstate late at night in a snow storm.

I’m not writing this 5 STAR review because they’re friends, great guys, with a great business, and perform exceptional work, this review is about “Customer Service”I’m writing this review, not to boost the business, they’ve already proved themselves in the community, I’m writing this review because of Adam, and the way he treated my customer. as busy as he was yesterday, stopped what he was doing to do a diagnostic check on a TPMS system for a twenty plus year customer of mine. I recommended Adam at J & Z to Harry, told him to stop by or call for an appointment as it usually takes a while to check it out, and they’d probably be extremely busy. Harry drove over toJ & Z, asked for Adam, explained the problem, and the rest couldn’t have turned out better.Harry stopped back at my shop, a short time after his visit with Adam. Harry came back so impressed, not only with the way Adam treated him, but the fact that they were extremely busy, and Adam took care of him right away.I’ve got a really good feeling Adam, you, and J & Z Garage just picked up a new customer, as a matter of fact, I know it.THANK YOU SO MUCH

I dropped off my BMW X5 to do the necessary repairs. They kept it for 4 days. When I came to pick it up (fixed or not!) I noticed that the odometer read 208 miles more than when I left it there. (I took a picture of the odometer right when I dropped off the car). I had to wait 1.5 to get it back. I also pulled up my IPass account report. Another disappointment...my car was used in all the far places, sometimes after 9:00 PM. The shop is only opened till 6:00PM.They also had a nerve to charge me for additional gas because the full tank of $70.00 that I pumped before leaving the car with them wasnt enough.I have all the hard evidence that my car was used for a joy ride or turned into a temporary loaner for 4 days. I dont like that the car mechanic was beating privately on my car.They think they can get away with it because I am woman.Unfortunately my next complaint is to the State Attorney General for customer fraud, police and BBB.

Excellent auto repair at J&Z, have three high mileage vehicles that are serviced at J&Z, keeps things running at reasonable rates.Been going there for 5+ years, highly recommend J&Z.

This is a Father Son business and these guys are great. They can get busy at times so you just need to confirm if and when your service will be available, but Ive never had an issue with them in five years of car service. They even got me a friendly discount at a Transmission shop when I had to have my old tranny rebuilt. Its nice to have somebody to talk to about any car problems and they will walk you through any explanations. Its a shame to see some bad reviews on here, I cant help but think that those people just told them to do whatever work was required, then got sticker shock when they saw the bill. These guys have never done anything without talking to me first. As long as its convenient, Ill keep going here because I trust them.

Used them several times and I am kicking myself for going back. First, they do not inform you of the issues with your car, if they find new issues while fixing the main problem they dont call or ask permission. In the end you have no choice but to pay the bill. I dont mind paying for quality service that costs a premium but paying premium prices and skimping on parts is unacceptable. I was charged for top tier spark plugs when in reality I got junk installed. I will never go back there.

Brought my car there with running air suspension pump, just needed to adjust it. After 1,5 day they called me and said they cant fix it. Came in to pickup my vehicle, paid 160$ for changing some connector. And the main thing - Pump was Not turning on automatically like it was before. If you hate your car, bring it at J&Z, theyll brake it!

Better go to dealer ,they are create fake problems. At winter time they just ripping people like crazy.

The water pump and thermostat went out on my car. i had it towed here without making an appointment and they had my car ready for me in 3 days. i’ll only be taking it to them for now on. thanks adam & crew!!
