— I gave this place a call and asked how much was the labor cost (I had already purchased the parts online) for replacing my brakes and rotors. They gave me a price and then I took it first thing the next morning.— I decided to wait while they did the job, and was there for about 3 hours and, when they finished the replacement, they asked me to pay a higher price than agreed upon at the beginning because the mechanic “didn’t know” that he was changing the brakes as well as the rotors and his rate was higher.— After paying and getting my keys, I went to test drive my car and I noticed that, whereas before, the car was braking somewhat, now, after replacing the brakes, the car was not braking at all. Immediately I went back to the shoppe and told them about the issue. The mechanic test drove the car and then he told me he would check the brakes and see what was going on.— I waited for another hour and decided to go back home while they looked to see what was wrong with the car. About 3 hours later, they call me back and say that they found out why the car was not braking.— According to the mechanic, they bled the brakes and looked to see if there was any issue and they determined that the master cylinder needs to be replaced.— They told me that the price for a new master cylinder is $250 and the labor cost is $220, and they offered to do the job for $500. I told them I didn’t have that kind of money and that I would call them back.— Here is the first kicker:—> I searched online for the price of the master cylinder from the car’s original manufacturers and the part is worth at most $120, NOT $250. Also, it’s not so much trouble to change it.—> When I called them back, I asked why the price was so high and they said that their system searches for original parts and that’s why it was so high. See the problem here? I decided not to spend more money and just went to pick up the car.— Here is the second kicker:—> When I got home, my brother and I lifted up the car and checked the brakes. They DID do the replacement properly, but they did NOT bleed the brakes as they said they had. My brother and I had to bleed the brakes ourselves and that’s how we confirmed the mechanics had not done this and lied when they said they did—> AFTER my brother and I bled the brakes is when the car started braking properly. And just to confirm, we went out to try the brakes at high speeds and they were working fine.Lastly, I can’t say for certain, but I think they had an apprentice mechanic working on the car (an expensive car at that). Next time, unless it’s a big job where I need a power lift on the car, I think I’ll just do the job myself.

They partially repaired the problem, the work quality was horrible I can weld pipes better in my sleep. I gave them the opportunity to do honest good work, instead I get charged an arm and leg for poor quality welds. I can fix the issue myself but I don’t mind paying for ethics so long as it completely fixes the problem with high quality l workmanship. Saves me the time, instead sams guy replaced the part but the weld is bad and exhaust still escapes. I’d go back but, I already went for something as simple as diagnostic and I saw the pattern. It’s non stop charge on top of charge on top charge. You try saying hey this is something that should been addressed and they will deny it’s covered so OK good bye. Lost a customer good luck. BY the way I fixed the misfire issues. No seals new coils new coil wiring and cleaned the inside of the cylinder chambers….cars running great oh I also charged the a/c myself. I told you I’m. A mechanic I don’t mind paying for work but if this what I get then I’ll just do it myself, instead of bleeding out. $2000++++ dollars

This location is excellent!!! Came in after dropping the kids at school because my brakes already needed a change asap! Have in mind that if you come in without appointment they will take it’s time to get you in. But it’s not a crazy hospital wait! 😅Once they took my car in they had to change front rotors and brakes (I figured this before taking my car in) and just the back brakes. I used a Groupon code for one of the services that they honor without problem. They have Apple pay and make the payment so easy. Chris in the front desk and in charge of the place makes and excellent job! Super friendly and professional. They speak English and Spanish as well!

I had an appointment for a 2:00 oil change and showed up on time but was told to wait to speak to the manager who had left and would be returning shortly. After waiting 10 mins, I called the number from the parking lot and was told that there were 2 people ahead of me who had appointments at 2:30! How are they gonna tell me to wait to speak to a manager and then take people ahead of me who had appointments later? So, I left and they didnt even call me back! Very unprofessional! Will never do business there again!

The guys always do a great job. My only issue is the wait time. Sometimes I’m there 30-45minutes more than I plan to be. But they’re a professional group of guys.

If u want to fix a problem that u dont know whats going on dont go here i went because my car was jumping i went the manager did something to it but that wasnt the problem i went back and the manager is literary telling me he doesnt know the problem like your a mechanic didnt u go to school for this and i called corporate they left me a message saying return the car but didnt even tell the place about it then when i called corporate back they act like they didnt know what i was talking about told me theyll call me back to figure it out and havent got a call back to this day and im a uber driver i always go here 4 my repairs but not any more

Last year, I had a car accident the auto body shop replaced wrong alternator; it caused AC compressor clutch bearing make loud noise and broken the drive belt. I didnt know about it until Open Road Honda dealer at Edison checked my car. They wanted $2800 (rip off lol). Im a poor medical student lol. I bought genuine Honda CR-V parts Made in Japan from junkyards ac compressor $75, alternator $50. I cleaned and sprayed paint with Dupli-color engine enamel silver and black. Look brand new again. I called different local auto repair shops, they wanted $450, $390, $490 to install them. I called Meineke Shop at Elizabeth, NJ. $300. Ronald is the best and honest mechanic Ive known. Highly Recommended!!! SAVE ME A LOT OF MONEY!!!

Shout out to Chris for doing a great job fixing my 2011 Sonata. He took the time to explain what was wrong and even showed me the problem while the car was on the lift even though he was very busy at the time. He quoted what I felt like was a reasonable price for the repair and when I returned to pick the car up he told me he was able to save me even more money by fixing one of the parts instead of replacing it. I will be taking my cars here from now on.

Just to see my brakes working like when I first bought the car.

The team are very professional, showing me brake concerns, and not overcharging for service. However, this location is in need of a receptionist, it took from 9am to 1pm approximately to finish task, due to all customers calling and coming in with questions and concerns. This location needs a renovation, facelift and cleaning, organization and disinfecting with covid19 protocols intact. Not just mask wearing, but clean bathroom with toiletries and hand sanitizers when walking in the door with clean seating. But the kindness and professionalism is intact.

My axel broke passing by the shop on Saturday after noon it was closing time but Chris came and he stood late with me trying to roll it into the shop after closing hours and was super nice we must of been there for like 2 hours trying to figure out the best way to get it into the shop and we finally got it in and after all that by Monday my car was fixed even did my exhaust on my Subaru wrx sounds amazing thanks guys thanks for the great service and friendly ness keep up the good work! 5 star review also pricing was very fair did not try to rip me off or get one over just honest work!

The company has poor communication skills and will tell you anything just work on your vehicle. I dropped my vehicle off at 8:00am, there were two other cars there. The guy said that my car would be worked on at 11:00am. I called at 1:00 to see if the car has been worked on the guy said it was being worked on. He told a lie, I called back at 3:00 and was told that they don’t know when the car will be done but they close at 4:00pm. The guys there promised me that the car would be done today. My vehicle was there for 8 hours and has not been worked on. This was a complete waste of time especially after being promised that the car would be done today. There was no communication on their part, if I didn’t call them. They wouldn’t have told me anything about my vehicle. This place has poor communication and rude workers. Stay clear of this place if you want your vehicle fixed. Also, the website and google states that the hours are 7:30am-5:00pm, this is not true. The shop opens at 8am on Saturday and closes at 4:00pm.

Made an appointment for an oil change weeks ago. I show on time for my appointment and the place is closed, I waited over 25 mins and nothing... huge waste of time.*dont bother telling me to contact customer service... already done.

Used the Groupon for break change and paid an extra $500 to fix a problem my car was having. However, after spending the entire day waiting for my car to be fixed, I found out while driving in the highway that the problem had not been fixed. I went to another mechanic and they told me the “new” brakes I had put on were poor/cheap quality. I do not recommend.

Dont come here to get anything done. They rather have conversation and play music then working on your car. Youll spend hours here just to find out your car isnt even getting worked on. The guy whos working on your car is out walking around . I spent waiting 4 hours for what is a 1 hour job causing me to get a write up at work. Thanks meineke .

Worst mechanic I’ve ever been to - they did nothing for my car when I took it in for an AC issue but they charged me and said there was no problem. As soon as I cranked up the vehicle there was no air-conditioning and I also had them check out an overheating issue at the same time which they said was over their head and they didn’t want to waste their time trying to it – it was just a thermostat that needed to be changed!!! The manager is incompetent and unprofessional

I took my car to this location and and got a rental because I thought that they were working on my car they never received the parts never checked therefore cost me money I didnt have to dish out especially during these times , also when asked for my refund I have yet to see it and its been I believe more than a week I asked that the manager or the owner Gulzer Ahmad to give me a call back I have yet to receive a courtesy call and Im still without my refund. I feel that the owner has been very unprofessional in the fact that they have not returned my call for someone who hasing been doing business with them and who has not received their money back during these times no one has money to play with.9/28/2020I was charged on 8/14 and still havent gotten my refund and the owner hasnt called me but one of the employees there has my credit card number written down. The owner gave me a number that he knows cant help me. they are holding my money and now I have to pay interest on money they own me.

Every time I call no one answers

Staff was so friendly. they are always so busy sometimes its hard getting a spot. but i trust them so its worth the wait! my car was making a very loud noise so i brought it in and they brought me into the shop to show me the hole in the muffler (flex pipe). Best prices and friendly staff! kind of has a barbershop feel in the lobby, everyone was talking and laughing and enjoying the time.

I had a screw that was broken off that needed to be extracted. I appreciate that they took the time to try and extract it.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I took my car in and asked for them to fix the brakes 7 months ago. My ABS light was on. I told them something wasnt right. They pulled the tires off and went to work on the car. I waited nearly 6 hours for them to fix it because I had to work that day. The light was still turning on and off. Fast forward three months later. Something popped on the front of the car so I had it towed there I said something isnt right the ABS light is still coming on. We got into a discussion and I found out the never fixed the front brakes. So now Im mad. But as far as the problem it was a coil that snapped and destroyed my front tire. I got it fixed and yet they still did nothing about my ABS light. I just shook my head and left. Fast forward to today. I had almost no control on stopping my car. I just took my car in to a different auto shop and they tell me I need to get new brakes for the back of the car and a total replacement of the front brakes because they are burnt up. Now I seriously ticked off! I could had killed someone or seriously injured myself because of the unprofessionalism of this place!

I was Happy with the outcome of my car with them. The ethics is there! I would recommend going there. The manager that tended to my car was professional, honest, - not looking to rip one off like other mechanics. Had a genuine interest on the health of the car . The waiting area not the greatest, but I found them to be good mechanics at reasonable price. Im glad I found them.

Replaced my exhaust here... tips are uneven, rude, too much talking, and just all around didn’t care too much about the job. In my opinion $200 to cut off my old mufflers and clamp the new ones was definitely a rip off for the results.

Definitely this is the best place to bring your car. I had a check engine light for a few months and and have been so many places trying to fix the issue, I had to change all my sensor twice because every time the scanner read the same code. Someone asks me $1880.00 to fix it😳, by chance I google that place and get there , the guy fix it for me for $80🤓 and now I have my inspection done. Thank you guys

This place has the worst customer service I would never recommend them to anyone!! First they offer basic oil change online and in store on their flyers. It’s not u til the guy comes out and say we don’t carry that we never do to get you to pay more money. Then I had to wait over 30 minutes for my oil change when I was the o my customer o my to find them eating in the back. Go to any other place this one is not professional or considerate.

Manny is absolutely phenomenal. Hes friendly, direct, and driven to render the most amazing service to customers. Hes so genuine its unbelievable, and he actually takes the time to find out whats wrong with your car, and how he can save you time and money.....I rarely, if ever, have encountered a mechanic who was straightforward and not an up seller of things my car did not need. I simply came in for an oil change and left with a new mechanic that I can go to.

The prices here are absolutely unbeatable!! I got a few estimates for my car to have the catalytic converters replaced, I went to a few places in the area and most the quotes were well over 900 dollars to do entire job. I brought it into Meineke and they charged me under 600 dollars!!! The car is running great and I am very thankful for everyone working there. They were really friendly and explained everything so well. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely amazing job on custom exhaust work. I brought in my classic car and explained what I wanted to get done and the price was a lot cheaper than other estimates I received. The tech took his time and was very meticulous in his work. I will be bringing my other cars to them very soon!!

I went to the Meineke in Rahway Ave in Elizabeth NJ. Today 9/12/20. They told me they couldn’t do my oil change till Monday but my oil change light was on so I asked them if they can at least put some oil till I come back on Monday they said yes when I went to pay they charged me $20 just to put some oil without the oil change granted I had a coupon from Groupon from that location for a full oil change that I paid $18.00. They totally took advantage as I am a women because how can they charge me more to just put some oil than the full oil change. Horrible attitude from owner as he responded this is America and nothing is for free!!

The manager was very friendly and honest. I had previously gone to a different repair shop and they told me I needed almost 1000 dollars worth of work. When I brought it to this Meineke the manager said I did not need all that stuff and he did only the necessary repairs and out the door I paid 200 bucks. Honest, friendly and the coffee is pretty good. HIghly Recommended!!!

Went there to fix a exhaust leak The pipe was suppose to be cat back to muffler on a mini van but the mechanic only change 15 inches of the pipe and left 10 inches rusty pipe and charge $300 and now the rusty he was supposed to change is now leaking bad the mechanic not there no more maybe he got fired but went back to get it fixed and now he refuse to fix it where it was there mistake. Never go to this place again
