Best place to get all your lumber needs. Everytime I go i get really good custumer service, they answer all my questions. Every kind of lumber that I need they have it, from purple heart, padauk, chery, maple and ect. this is the only place I got, very good prices too.

Folks here are very knowledgeable and friendly. They have hardwoods not available at the big box stores and they have a better price on better quality plywood than youll find anywhere. Worth checking out for your next project.

We regularly purchase boards here and have had a great experience until today. We were informed by the “warehouse manager” (who lacks general customer service skills based on previous interactions with him) that we are unable to sort through boards more than 5 layers down. This policy is ridiculous for small hobbyists like us who need specific board widths and colors for our projects. The policy is only designed to sell more wood, obviously, at the expense of others because there is literally ZERO local competition. We will gladly travel to Albuquerque to take our business elsewhere— where there is better customer service and selection anyway.

Good material, but be careful with their crew in warehouse, they put in the note more material than the youre taking, and the supervisor is complicit.

I found Dakota Premium Hardwoods because I was looking for Baltic Birch plywood and boy do they have BALTIC BIRCH!!! 5 x 5, 4 x 8, 3/4, 5/8, 1/2, 3/8, 1/4, and thats just one tiny part of what they have to offer. Premium Hardwoods is more than just their name, its a very accurate description of what they offer. Unfortunately/Fortunately they have way to much to describe, but you will not be disappointed.Then theres everybody that works work there. To say theyrefriendly is an understatement. Its more like when Norm walks into Cheers. What more can I say.And their prices...as a long time amateur woodworker, who recently moved here and is about to retire here, my biggest concern isnt going to be how much and what type of wood can I afford, itll be Where do I put all the things that Im making?

I went by this place last weekend after reading reviews, thinking this would be a newbie friendly place. Im not really sure if its because they were busy (I couldnt tell) or because I looked like a total newb and wasnt asking the right questions, or because I had three of my kids in tow, but the guy that was asked by the front desk to help us was anything but helpful.He came across as if I was bothering him, and that he would rather be doing something else. I ended up buying lower quality wood at Lowes, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid since the last two pieces of furniture didnt come out as good as I would have liked due to the wood from the big box.I hope I can find another place in town that offers better wood options than the big boxes, but I havent found one yet. I wish I had come to this place with someone that knows what questions to ask so Im not made to feel like an idiot.

Was inquiring on Solid Surface Countertop, and it wasnt my day. The receptionist didnt have any idea what I was talking about. Another short lady answered me but it seemed like everyone was in a bad mood. I also asked about wood boards and in the back area three men just talking and not one would help until they finish their own conversation. Will not go back there again!I forgot to mention, the majority of the employees there need to be wearing masks before they get fined.

I have been dealing with Dakota since they came to El Paso. I have never been disappointed with their product or their service. I have found them to be most helpful and accommodating. I now drive for 4 hrs just to purchase product from them. Their hardwood selection is outstanding. If they dont have it you probably dont need it. Their pricing is also most attractive.

I found everything i was looking for, had no problem with that. But the waiting time was ridiculous 1 hour 40 mins for them to get my wood out to my truck.

These folks know their products. And they are most helpful to the customer coming in. If you dont quite know what it is you need, tell them what youre doing & they will be glad to help you with your selection(s).Ive shopped there several times in the last 3 months or so and highly recommend them.

The check out process and overall purchase experience is a little slow and a little confusing. However Im giving them 5 stars for friendly customer service, quality products and reasonable prices.

I’ve been to a few places in the region for hardwoods and this place by far has the best prices. I wish they had a couple more exotics but they have all you need!

The only real hardwood store in El Paso. They know they have a corner on the market. Prices are decent but if you are looking for project wood be prepared to dig around..and then plane it yourself. Prices are per board foot ,they wont cut anything down , and it rough hewn so its as raw as kiln dried can be.
