I dont really write reviews since I joined google 11 years ago, but this time I wanted to share my experience and how I felt at this store. Im from Asia, but this time was just different, when it comes to races.When I got in to the store, Don, the guy who just finished helping a woman, said how are you after 30 secs without even looking at me. This how are you is just the rudest difference that every single customer can feel when they are welcomed. OKAY, I dont care because he might have been really busy and stressed, and I could be nicer to him.I made an appointment for oil change by selecting not so busy moment (3PM Friday), and Don got me a quote and said it would take 1 hour. And he even said that he would send a message when done. I waited one full hour at a cafe across the street, and got back to the store.What I saw was that he was helping the other customers who walked in (no appointment) even after me, and I even waited until the customers left. He said, havent started with a different voice again without looking at me. I said, maybe I can visit next time thank you.I dont blame the entire store, but this guy never deserves the position as long as he provides SERVICE to customers. I understand that work is stressful and he might have been busy at the moment. However, the thing is he was treating me like Im not the same customer as others, and this is something that cannot happen and something that customers should NOT feel. Thank god I could learn that this kind of human being also exists.

Direly understaffed. Must fight to give them your business. After being turned away in person and over the phone over the course of 48 hours, I eventually gave up and went to big-o tires where they were happy to take my money.

I made an appt for one day and when I arrived the person told me they were really booked and only had one person. He rescheduled my appt to 8 am several days later saying I should be able to get in and out, it was just 1 new tire. I arrived shortly before 8 to see a line of people waiting to check in while one person at the front was busy selling tires. After I waited 20 minutes and the line did not move, I left.

Made an appointment for brake inspection at 10 a.m. Apparently, there was only one mechanic working at that store today but the receptionist neglected that important detail. Waited and waited and nothing.. Had to call to verify what was going on with my car and no news... So, dissatisfied and disappointed... Not going back thats for sure. You would think that when you make an appointment the time slot will be open but nope.. cant lie and fool people wasted 3.5 hours when I couldve gone somewhere else. Advice, dont go there ever or to any firestone. Sucks.

When I arrived the gentleman Gerald was helping me to get my tire plugged, he was extremely nice. He went on break and a different guy then helped me and at that moment my tire was magically not repairable and I was forced into buying a new tire. That’s not the worst part, the WORST part of this visit was he was never wearing a mask and most of the workers were not wearing a mask either. Totally unacceptable!!!!! The other guy that was “helping” me also made and inappropriate comment about my tattoo stating “What the hell is wrong with you”. I have a business account where we service our 40+ vehicles with Firestone. From this one guys treatment and the way he acted is really making me debate going back to a Firestone ever again.

All the other reviews stating you will wait forever for nothing to happen are spot on. Truly insane Don is a manager - I guess when your life peaks at managing a tire repair shop, you feel justified in being incredibly rude and condescending to customers. Sad. Glad I didnt end up spending any money here, and will never visit another Firestone again.

They have always been super understanding and nice and respectful. I bought a pair of tires and got the warranty and got some nails in them sadly but they fixed it for free because it was covered. Also they have a life time alignment so if you keep your car for a long time definitely look into it. Also they filled up my air in my tires when ever super handy and nice.

The worst firestone I have ever been to!, dropped my vehicle to get a oil change andwheel alignment done at 10am, I come back at 2pm (4 hours later) and they told me we havent touched your vehicle yet, can you reschedule,

Again head and shoulders above the rest, great service, some services are high, but the basic services are reasonable

I use to go here before and always had good service. So when my dad needed new tires I recommended him to this shop. As soon as he pulled up one of the workers was extremely rude. So disappointing. Another worker and the manager apologized and I appreciate that but I will never go or tell anyone about this shop ever again. Just because you are having a bad day doesn’t mean it’s okay to take it out on others especially paying customers

Got here 30 minutes before closing and the cashier was extremely rude and said he absolutely could not help me out because I Came way too late well no need to be rude about it go somewhere else if you don’t want to deal with rude sarcastic men.

Terrible experience. I had an appointment for 1pm and didnt get my car off the lot until 3pm. The front desk lady asked me to wait 10 minutes for an estimate after being there for 3 hours. Ten minutes was 20 minutes as she received a door dash lunch order and left me waiting for this so called maintenance check. Once she returned she came out with a $5500 bill.My tires are new however, Firestone claimed I needed new tires... secondly, Firestone claimed my battery was not in good condition. Today, I had my battery checked by specialist and the voltage on my battery was in great condition. The front desk clerk claimed they did not have any parts to fix any of the 12 problems car listed. Will not return to this Firestone again, go to Broadway (Oakland) Firestone location, much better timely, and accurate service.

They put greasy (plastic envelope) on top of my dashboard... leaving grease stains behind. Made me go to dealership and buy a part, just to drive back, for them to tell me they won’t need it today/not able to fix my car because they already “turned off” all the lights/fix engine lights... maybe next time, don’t turn off the engine light unless you actually fixed it. Now my car continues to have problems,(ticking noise, died at traffic lights, stalling). Seems like they turned off multiple lights for good, haven’t been able to read what’s wrong with my car since. Horrible experience. They even charged me money for bs work. Ie, looking at my car, “inspection”, “running a test”... but somehow can’t figure out the problem with it. So I lost money over a test, that gave me no results.

Poor customer communication, took 4 days for my car and never been fixed , overpriced and under delivery.Don’t waste you time and money in this location

They just told me they are unavailable to do the work scheduled. They changed my appointment for one hour earlier without call me or text me. Horrible service.

Recently I needed two new tires because I got flat tires suddenly when I was on the way to somewhere. I booked an appointment here as other major shops like Costco have no next-day appointment. Although I waited for the service completion for about two hours, sitting there, drinking coffee mixed with cream powder and watching TV news, I am satisfied with the staffs attitude and accuracy on auto part installation. This shop, as I observed, has just three or four staffers, one mechanic repairing four cars at the same time, one receptionist ( providing logistics as well ), and other one or two people are doing other things.So dont blame them for slow service completion, they are working very hard just to make sure everything is perfect. They have plenty of orders and vehicles to fix, so dont take some missing trivial details seriously.Anyway, great service, excellent attitude.

Unless you have hours of your life that you want to waste and you don’t mind don’t even bother showing up here

To my surprise I need new tires again after a year of use. My current set came at the recommendation of the Firestone staff for daily commuting. Im not a tire/car expert so I went with their choice. Besides being expensive, the tires I got are performance tires meant to last only 5-8k. I will not be going back to Firestone.

Terrible service my truck sat there all day they kept claiming they would work on it and it never happened. There is no excuse for my truck to sit there multiple nights in a row.

I came here on a Sunday morning , Greg help me out really quick. These guys are simply amazing, I would give them more then 5 stars if I could. highly recommended

Accommodating, fair and respectful manager, but extremely busy on a Sunday, so prepare to wait patiently or even leave your car there for the day and pick up hours later. They could have told me I needed a new tire to replace my leaking one, but they repaired it and sent me on my way for less than $40. I would go back for service if needed.

Ok why I cant get a better job on some grate shop in Firestone shop so I went to Elcerrto shop andits grate.

I appreciate the warranty on alignments. That keeps me coming back. The only major issue is the hold times when calling for an appointment. Last time I was on hold for 12 minutes.

Nicholas and Juan were super fast and friendly! I felt comfortable and confident in their work. Juan was extremely personable and checked to make sure my son and I were taken care of. I love the excellent service I always receive here, and go out of my way to only use the El Cerrito Firestone.

I really dont recomend it! Went for a flat tire and took them more than 1 hr 30m, because the guys kept talking to themselfs i saw the guy just standing there looking at the car doing nothing for like about 10 minutes, they not even cheap and all that time for a flat tire really!!!??

Ive come here with schedule time at 1030 am for a simple inspection.Its almost 2 PM and they didnt even start the job. Surely I have unless one more hour here.Why I need to make an appointment if Im not getting priority?Completely disrespect with the costumer .Worst service in town.

Horrible experience! Old guy named Ron tried to hook me up with the firestone credit card in a sneaky way. Tries to oversell things which is not needed. i was waiting on a line and totally ignored me and made a call went outside was on the cell phone for 10-15 minutes .he should have assisted customer first and deal with his things later.looks little bit resist when he saw young asian face.

Got a set of 5 tires here. The team is courteous and knowledgeable, but I came in for four tires with the fourth wheel in the trunk. They ended up taking the spare, but were willing to negotiate a discount on a fifth tire to replace my spare. I plan on returning for future work on my car.

Especially glad to see that Marcus has joined the team. Ive worked with him else where and hes absolutely tops! Smart, on the ball, and very responsive. And - an extra plus - he keeps me laughing while hes attending to every detail of my car. Im impressed by the manager, Steve, and this has been a reliable store before but Marcus tops them all!

Staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Service is pretty fast!. I had all four tires replaced and the price I paid was very decent. They had a lot deals/coupons online which is always a plus!! This place is very busy though I would suggest making an appointment but even with out the apppintment I only waited a hour and a half and it was packed at least 7 other people came at the same time as me.

Wow at first glance I gave these guys a 5 star rating. Until I found out they hooked up a battery charger to my battery to fix a nail in the tire. Now my navigation does not work and this is a 2017. Why are you hooking a battery Charger up to fix a nail in a tire? Wife is traveling back from California to Colorado. I am out of factory Warranty. Absolute zero reason to open a hood to fix and nail in the tire!!!!

I took my car to this shop on a Tuesday afternoon to get 4 new tires installed. Called them ahead to make sure they would be able to do it since I live nearby and they always seem to be busy and they said they would and that it would take a couple of hours.Couple of hours later they called me saying they weren’t going to be able to do the job and that they would do it the next morning. At this point it was my understanding that they were really busy and doing their best so I decided to come back the next morning.Went back the next morning, left my car in the shop, went home and returned 4 hours later to see that they had not even started to work on my car. Asked how much longer it would take and was told another 20 min so I sat there at the shop and waited. Half hour later I saw that nothing was done so I asked for my keys back and left.I wouldn’t recommend unless you have a lifetime to wait on it.

Generally they get the service done in a reasonable amount of time and thats great! But the bizarre upselling they do is annoying. They constantly try to add on something that actually doesnt need to be done.

I dont know why all the low reviews. The wait here is pretty long but if they are giving you good service I dont care. I would rather wait a bit longer and get a more complete service than to get in and out in 30 minutes and have to come back the next day.Francis D is the store manager and very friendly. They didnt try to push anything on me like other shops and dealerships and this is my second time using a Firestone around the area (Berkeley one closed down). So this is likely going to be my go to place for stuff.I had them patch a tire and rotate my tires (which they do some basic inspects as well.) In total it took about 1.5 hours (because there were 3 people ahead of me) and it was much faster than they had told me it would take which was a relief I guess. The price cant be beat $30 for the whole thing because they had a $10 tire rotation deal.

I bought a set of 4 new tires and been have problems every since! One time i caught a flat took the tire in and was told it was unrepairable that I needed a new one, ok lets get a new one. One week later I get a flat in the same tire so again I go back and he tells me I need a new tire again. I said this tire is supposed to be new I had a large nail in the other one that was unrepairable! The man looked at me like I was crazy said he was going to go check, I told him I wanted to see it to to make sure they did give me a new tire he never let me look.

I just wanted to check their loyalty towards regular costumer . I went there to see if there is any problem with my right rear tyre so i decided to put more air pressure and they charged me 23$ lol for no problem . And when i left a store the tyre pressure was high and same . They dinot even bother to look in to it because they knew there was no problem and made me wait 6 hour lol .Stop being fraud !!Never coming back to this store ..They also told me to change other stuff which i changed a month ago and was in good condition .You guys are joke !!🤬🤬

I brought my vehicle in there to repair a hole in the tire caused by a nail, it was a simple flat tire plug repair. The technician Greg gave me an estimated time of 1 1/2 hours to repair, I returned 2 hours later assuming they would either be done with the vehicle or in the middle of repairing the tire and they hadnt even started on it yet but thats not why I am leaving a bad review. I just wanted to take the car and go so when I asked for the key Greg went back into the back and shouted to another technician that we didnt want to wait for the repair to be done, how he said it was rude and condescending as if he didnt give me an estimated amount of time that it would be finished. He had a very unprofessional attitude and I can only imagine how many customers they lose over this poor service.

I get all my tires from here. Their new tires have lasted me almost a year now. Cost me $80+ for each for my car but worth it. Customer service was great, they even helped to save me some money.

Being that I have a Chrysler I needed factory part so they were very good at getting them ordered on time because I had a time constraint to get to work on time this afternoon

The other reviewer was right theyll mess up your car so you have to go back and have them fix it. They told me they wanted 80$ just to LOOK at my car and then after they found the problem it would cost more depending on what needed to be fixed. AND THEY WERE THE ONES WHO MESSED IT UP IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I had a 12:00 appt (this time was at there suggestion). When I got there they said they would have to order my oil change filter (which they knew about in advance) and that would take 25 minutes. One hour later they still hadnt started work on my car. When I went out to check they said there were two more cars before me. I told them I had a noon appt and so he said okay Ill do it now. I didnt leave till 2:00 for what was estimated as a 30 minute process. NOT very efficient!

Excellent Customer Service!

They charged me $80 for whole body inspection but It was $20 they overcharged customer. I would not recommend this auto care.They take a whole day to repair anything’s I went there to change oil but they gave my car another day .

The guy that helped me greeted me and was very polite. I had a nice experience.

Quick service with a well explained and recommended upgrade to their service. I will be back for sure.

The staff here are always friendly, however theres a pretty heavy push to buy extra products and theres almost always a long wait no matter when you visit. Make an appointment or be prepared to be there several hours even for quick maintenance.

They took 2 hours to do a simple uber inspection. 1 and half hour to replace all 4 tires.

The price was right they got us in and out and we were truly satisfied s/o to Peter for helping us we will be back again.

Ive been coming here for several years and they give consistently mediocre service but today was the last straw. I called yesterday afternoon and was told that the wait for an oil change was 1.5-2 hours but that they could finish in about an hour if I made an appointment for the following day. When I showed up for my appointment this morning, I was told the wait would be 1.5-2 hours. This has unfortunately been my experience many times and today will be the last.Other than timeliness, their service has generally been good. The only other major complaint I have is about a time when I asked them to lock the keys in the car so I could pick it up after business hours. I came back to find an obvious note on the seat saying keys in car and the windows cracked. This was especially disturbing because theyre not in the nicest part of town and there was indeed someone rooting through the nearby garbage bin when I got there. Im glad to still have my car after they gave thieves ample opportunity!

I was Charged $20 for NO work done on my car AFTER being reassured they could do wheel alignment on fiats.

Usually friendly and fast. Have had issues with defective parts lately, but they have fixed any issues with no hassle.

Don’t wast your time here

Yay! Open on Memorial Day for my flat tire repair! I think $30 was a shade high, but thats inflation for ya. Technician also has to deal with the new tire pressure sensors.

They will always try to cheat on you and sell the tires by failing from any inspection. Dont go there. They are pretending as if they have cheap labour but they are cheating on you. Go somewhere else.
