Store looked clean, organized, & stocked. Asked for help in electronics & was told by the mgr that the employee was on break. I guess there was no other employee who could help so I waited about 20 minutes. Went to the jewelry department & again, no employee in sight. Then I saw why...6 female employees all came out of the breakroom at the same time. This was around 8:30am. Register 6 was the only register open with a line of about 8 senior citizens waiting to be checked out. Why cant stores realize there are so many people who dont know how to use the Self checkout? My disappointment with this Walmart is poor Customer Service, and not enough open Registers, both led by poor management.

SAD. Spent $164 AND had to check myself out because there was only one register with a cashier on it and the line was super long. Had to make the 40 minute drive back to town to pick up my kids from school. One thing did not have a price tag to scan and I told the lady that was standing there watching me and she just looked at me with a blank stare. I threw the shorts on to the next register beside me. Would not go back to this Walmart ever again.

Seems every time I go in to pick up order or orders, I am waiting for long periods of time. Its seems like employees pass by and they dont notice me. I waited 15 minutes this time. I was asked by an employee that had clocked out and called on intercom for help for pick up. She even called out their names! I still waited, I had a pint if ice cream and it melted from waiting... got real soft. I did mention that I waited for a while... no one cared.

Called local store to ask about availability of a product. Put on terminal hold with hideous noise like on every other phone system on the planet. This always happens with this store assuming you can get them to pick up the phone in the first place. Rubbish store with no customer service

So four attempts to contact the store and it just rings. I even tried different departments and the one time someone finally did pick up and transferred me to the department I wanted it was only for 2 1/2 more minutes of ringing only for someone to pickup and hangup on me. Yes its Black Friday but I had just left the store and seen many employees just standing around and someone could at least answer a phone call. And those 4+ minute calls were just ringing and the system finally just disconnected. Through the years this Walmart has declined Ive seen employees horseplaying, yelling and degrading other employees I assume were training. Its sad

This is a big super store. They have everything. With Covids you have to follow face mask regulayions. The store is clean.Theres not many cashiers but a lot of self check out counters. They do have the pickup kiosk center and a pickup area on the east side. This store is a big provider for Bay City. Go by and check it out!

Only always have 2 registers open. And the 2 registers that are open have the slowest cashiers. So they almost force you to use self checkout. So basically for a short period of time, youre working for Walmart, and checking and bagging your own items. Only reason I go here is because its convenient. Other than that, I would go elsewhere.

We live in Bay City but prefer El Campos Walmart over ours. They have things out Walmart doesnt have. They also have better bargains.

Disappointed in the decline of Wal-Mart. It’s funny, I remember when Wal-Mart first opened and the attention to customer service and the customer experience actually meant something. I have noticed over the past 30 years the slow decline in the attitude not only to the customers but to the overall experience. Sam would be rolling over in his grave at the way people are treated in his stores. My mother who has had several heart attacks and is high risk for the Corona Virus asked me to drive her 30 miles to the El Campo Wal-Mart so that she could do her shopping. She was worried that the store would be closed because the hours have been amended during this pandemic. We were told that the store was open until 8:30pm. We arrived in the store about 6:45 to do the shopping. After finally finding a wheel chair for my mother and getting her into the store we made our way towards the garden center. When we got there we looked around but did not see the rakes. I asked the associate where they were and he said outside but that they had just locked the doors and he didn’t have a key. I asked him if he could call some one and he did. After waiting over 39 minutes no one came so I walked back to customer service and asked them to help me. They paged a manger who came and walked past me when I asked if she were the manager she said yeah but she didn’t have a key. After being rude to me I asked for the store manager. I could hear the first girl in the back being rude and disrespectful about the entire situation. The woman who came to talk to me finally addressed me as O you the one trying to get a rake? When I explained the entire situation she basically patronized me with a smirk and said come back tomorrow. When I told her that my mother called and that we drove there 30 miles she said there was nothing they could do and that it was too complicated of a procedure to be able to get anything from the outside department. When I told her we drove 30 miles after calling, she asked if we told them we needed a rake. No, nor did I tell them of any of the other items that we needed. The suggestion was that I drive an extra 60 miles round trip in order to buy a rake. I promise that I will not be back to the El Campo location. After leaving there I went across the street to Tractor Supply who were closing there doors and had been closed for technically 8 minutes allowed me to purchase the rake. 1 Star Wal-Mart. 5 for Tractor supply.

Im able to get the items I need but every time I go to this location its dirty and nasty. Needs a revamp especially in the bathrooms.

Well another wasted trip to this Walmart. My experience with Walmart tires has and still makes me despise this store but with the current virus scare other retailers have either inflated their prices or dont have what I need. So after checking two other places with no luck I had to go to Walmart but only to be told they cant sale me a tire because no one knows how to look them up. So I go online and find them. But to be safe I call walmart.com to inquire about shipping. But only to be told my wait time would be over an hour long. Oh and did I mention that online prices are never honored at this Walmart.

When visiting my sister and family. There is a time to go to Walmart. Since this is a smaller town. There isnt the crowds you fine in the cities. Its a lot more pleasant shopping in Walmart in smaller town.

Most associates are friendly. But there is a lot of pow pow meetings/chat groups that go on in the way. 90% of the time their shelves are stocked, so thats good, Ive seen a lot worse. It just seems they are only out of something when I really need it, but that just might be my luck.LOVE the new self check outs though!
