We purchased a home that had been vacant for several years. An outside wall of the attached garage is of vertical aluminum panels. The wall was covered with white paint that after 60 years started to bubble and peel from the hot sun. Buhrmesters gave me great advice about a primer (STIX), a good quality paint and even recommended an application protocol. I am very pleased with the personal service.

I loved this place!!!!! The gentleman that helped us was patient and made offers to us about the paint. I am sensitive to smells as an asthmatic, but he let me smell the types of paints to pick the right one. I have never shopped here before this past weekend. I use the Benjamin Moore Paint line, this place was cheaper than Ace Hardware, where I usually buy it. This will be my GO-TO place for my paints... great service, cheaper price and super NICE!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS #1!!!!!

I am convinced the last review had to be a competitor because… Buhrmester is THE BEST paint store in the St. Louis area. I first discovered them when renovating my 1893 Victorian. Not only did they carry the best products (Benjamin Moore) their customer service was outstanding. They kept a detailed record of my home, each room and my preferences. They know me by name (and I’m not even a contractor!!). When I was unsure about a project, they offered to come to my home to make suggestions. Their staff is knowledgeable, very approachable and always up-to-date on the latest products and color trends. I have heard from many contractors that Ray, the owner, is the only one they trust when it comes to “getting a paint job done right” I can say the same about each of their employees who have all been there for years. Buhrmesters is the last of the great family-owned businesses.

We totally agree with Donna. The Buhrmester folks are extremely sensitive to our homeowner decorating and painting needs. Ray has provided us with a lot of guidance and been very patient with us since our initial renovation in 2004. Kudos to Buhrmester!

Ive been going to Buhrmesters with my mom since childhood and now I get to go for my own home! Lisa and Lori came out to my house to help me choose paint for every single room in my house. I couldnt be happier with their products, service, and choices for my house!

Very nice staff and super helpful on a larger project than I would have had trouble figuring out. They have a ton of painting accessories and walked me through everything I needed for a project. If you need help with quality paint this is the place to go.
