The staff is friendly and the shop is clean. The thing is the selection is pretty lacking. They have a fantastic kids section, if you have kids it is well worth checking them out. However, unless you are looking for a cookbook or a new fiction read, there isnt much here. They have zero crafting books in the store. That being said, if you look on their website they have a ton of crafting books from independent publishers. So, hard to say.

This is great local bookstore and it’s keeping the proud tradition of independent bookstores alive and well. The store is well appointed and well stocked. You are free to browse here in a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is knowledgeable and if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will help you get it or find it. We never visit Edmonds without visiting this great store. And, we never leave the store without making purchases!

Great selection of new and used. Fun gifts as well. Picked up a puzzle and a children’s book. Felt welcomed by the staff and atmosphere was lovely.

This little jewel has friendly staff, a pluthera of books, cards, gifts, and community events such as a book club! I had a marvelous time perusing the many choices of jornal supplies,calendars, and cards as well. The childrens section is a fun mix of new authors, old ones, and games or puzzles that are individually chosen rather than things found everywhere. I highly recommend this store if your looking for a gift that appeals to heartfelt choices!

Gladly pay bookstore prices to support this place. People working here love what they do. They don’t have what you need, they’ll get it. During the onset of COVID days, they delivered my books to my door, same day. They’ll always have my business.

They are super friendly and helpful! A wonderful local store to go to especially right now during COVID restrictions. Everyone was wearing masks and making the buying process as quick and least contact as possible! Highly recommend!

Bookstore had wide variety but extremely thin. Do not expect them to have more than 1-2 books of your favorite author. Also won’t buy back book if they have it in stock. I’m sure whatever it takes to survive but I’ll go to Barnes and Noble next time.

Great little store

My go-to bookshop. If they dont have it, theyll find any book you want so I dont have to use Amazon -- its almost always there within 2 days. The people are friendly and kind. I love this place. Edmonds is lucky to have it.

I order books here and they come in around the same time it takes Amazon. Support local instead and have a great experience at Edmonds Bookshop!

One the last great solo bookshops. Still going strong with lots of local support. Walk in often enough and they will probably remember your name and can add you to the loyalty club, my next book is free BTW. Many books with personal reviews on them to help make a selection.

Its not every day that I walk by a shop and learn something just from their window display. When I was visiting they had caution tape strewn across some books saying, Banned Books Month. Of course, Catcher in the Rye was on display, but I was shocked when I saw Hop on Pop The Outsiders and Harry Potter -- especially when this was required reading (sans the first one) when I was a kid. So I asked inside and learned the startling truth behind these.I know brick and mortar book stores are dying, but this is the way to engage the public -- I mean it got me inside faster than a Pokemon Go lure outside of a pizza shop.

Neighborhood bookstore. Good selection of new books despite its smallish size. Features local authors, a plus. Author signings and book club meetings further the stores cozy charm. Employees are readers, not clerks, so they are able to recommend books apart from best sellers. Along with Spangler Book Exchange (a few blocks away) the local arts and letters scene is well covered.

This is my hometown bookshop, Ive been coming in here since my adult children were tiny, it hasnt changed much and Im happy about that. ou wont find the cheap pricing of Amazon or Barnes and Noble here but you will find deep book lover knowledge by the awesome owner and staff, get personalized recommendations and contribute to a small business owners livelihood, which imo is WAY better than saving a few bucks. Its small and can get crowded easily but everyone is super nice and you can always find a little nook to tuck yourself into to flip through the pages of a book. I love walking through Edmonds, getting a coffee, grabbing a bite to eat and then hitting up the tea shop and this bookstore. If Namas was still in business it would be a perfect day!
