I just bought a Sienna yesterday from Stanley. It was my first time buying from this dealership and it wont be my last. For years I have been a Jerrys girl but after recent events of them up-charging their customers thousands, I decided to go elsewhere. Thank God I found Thompsons! Stanley was beyond helpful, always had great communication skills, and was honest about what he could do and couldnt do upfront with me unlike most others! Stanley wasnt just the only member of the Thompsons team that was fantastic, so was Matt the sales manager and Tony the finance manager who personally took their time to sit with me to make feel comfortable. Again I had bought from one place for years and change can be scary, but this change was great! Take this from someone who has bought Toyotas since 2003! Go to Thompsons!

Dwayne my sales specialist was super friendly and easy to work with. I ordered a car during the microchip shortage era and they had no BS during the process and got me straight to what I wanted. No market adjustment, no forced purchase like paint protection.

Well worth the 1-hour drive from Delaware. Kevin Walker (Sales) and Nick Sutton (Finance Mgr) were responsive, efficient and respectful. Not a moment of my time was wasted, and furthermore they treated me as a valued customer in a time when inventory is scarce and demand is high. While most other dealerships have lost sight of the customer by acting with arrogance and charging excessive mark-ups, at Thompson it felt like they still actually wanted to do all they could to *earn* my business and to make it a fair deal. No market adjustment games were played, and no high-pressure tactics were used. Highly recommend.

Seriously, Their service department will rip you off. If possible take you car else where. They will charge you $150 just to take a look at something. That’s how much they appreciate you purchasing the car from them.

I had been dreading the sale/trade in process after dealing with a dozen or so Toyota dealerships in the DC Metro area either in-person or over email/phone. We knew exactly what car we wanted, the trim level and color, but getting the out-the-door price was like pulling teeth and when we finally got those quotes they had ridiculous added fees that were no where to be found on the dealer websites.We felt super lucky to have found Thompson Toyota. Stanley quickly provided a reasonable out-the-door price for our new Venza over text message.  We also discussed trading in our Prius and we were happy with the trade in quote he provided.It was well worth the effort to drive an hour and a half from DC. Stanley had our new Venza waiting, sparking clean with a full tank of gas, in the front of the dealership. All of our paperwork was already printed out, ready to sign. The price was exactly what we we discussed over text message for the new car and for the trade in. No games, no BS.Stanley showed us all the car features, explained each button we asked about and then we signed the paperwork.  It couldnt have been simpler or quicker!  We drove back to DC with our new car feeling great about the purchase. I bought my car online. I talked to a few dealerships all over the country. I found Thompson Toyota was very efficient and helpful. The process was easy. Stanley even came to the airport to get my husband. My husband is sad we don’t live closer, they are much more friendly than our local dealerships.

This is a excellent team to work with but Ive gotta give Mike Pagliaro and Jim Waters a specific shout out. These guys went above an beyond to help me today. I have been going through a total nightmare with a previous vehicle due to some aftermarket additions. They worked with me for hours to get me in a vehicle that I love. I cant explain the weight lifted off of me but it was all thanks to these 2 gentlemen. Honest, fair and hardworking 👏 I would HIGHLY recommend going straight to Mike Pagliaro for any inquiries. Had a great experience with Thompson Toyota. OBrian Giles was awesome. The dealership was willing to hold the 2021 RAV4 Hybrid we wanted for a full week while we finished dealing with our insurance company. We needed to know that they were totaling our previous vehicle before we were able to pull the trigger on the new. In the current environment, most dealers wont hold a car and will sell it out from under you for the right price. OB stayed in touch with us everyday without pressuring us. When we were finally ready, both the sales and finance teams had everything ready to go. We were in and out quickly. We will definitely shop there again.

Even though I gave my current address with my driving license, the address on my registration listed my old address. I told the salesperson Kevin immediately before I left the dealership but didnt change and told him to fix it. However, till today nothing has changed, and MVA sent my registration to my old address......again I called and left a message to Tim (manager)......so far no change. I will update the status soon.

My complaint is with the service department. I tried to schedule a oil and filter change on their website but that option wasnt available. Ive had no problem in the past with the exception of the online procedure constantly changing. Most likely a Toyota decision. Anyway, the website says to call the service department to schedule an appointment. I tried 3 different times. The first time the operator transferred me and no one ever answered the call. The second time I was transferred and was hung up on. The third time I was transferred and again no one answered. Why is customer service so bad? Im done with Thompson Toyota! From now on Buddys Auto will handle all my service and repair needs.

I am very happy with the whole process of buying my new Avalon at Thompson Toyota. O’Bryant was my sales guy, and he was so very helpful, and answered all of the questions I had, and some I didn’t think to ask. He was readily available when I needed to call or text him. The finance guys were also very nice (I’m sorry I can’t remember their names off-hand!), as well as the gentleman that I ordered my new floor mats from. I know if I have a question in the future about my car, even though the sale is complete, O’Bryant will help me. Super-nice guy.

On a 16 hour drive my alternator went out on 95 south - 10 pm and was able to get my vehicle towed to the closest Toyota dealership which ended up being Thompson Toyota - I spoke with a man in service at 7am Tony Martin who completely understood what my situation was and they jumped on it immediately - thankfully I was back on the road by 11am thankfully with a long drive ahead still - communication during everything was great and I was entirely happy during the whole process - I’d like to thank the technician that worked on my vehicle as well even though I don’t know their name but MAJOR APPRECIATION to Thompson Toyota, Tony Martin and especially the technician who repaired my vehicle and got me back on my way

I have only had experience with the used car lot but the staff is great to work with, no high pressure tactics and very patient. Go see Jim Waters, he is terrific and honest. Just an all around good person you can trust. Great selection of quality used cars reasonably priced for any buyer.

Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at any business. I showed up for an appointment on 4/30 only to be told by the customer service rep it was too late in the day and she wasnt sure why the appointment was allowed to be scheduled. Rather than accommodate for wasting an hour and a half of my Friday evening I was told nothing was available on Saturday and needed to come back the following week but a rental car would be available. Fast forward a week (today 5/7), I show up for my 8am appointment to no rental car available like I was told. An hour and a half later they were still unable to locate me a rental car but they were sorry. You would think after screwing up the week prior they would make sure there were no issues but this wasnt the case. Avoid this service center at all costs if you value your time.

Service department will try and rip you off! Went in for md inspection. Toyota said needed over 3k in repairs. Took it to another shop for a second opinion and they passed it saying nothing was wrong. Shoppers beware!!

Husband and I bought our 2020 RAV4 Hybrid back in November 2019 and are super happy with our purchase Our car salesperson, Kevin, and sales manager, Matt, were great to work with and they and the rest of the team at Thompson Toyota took great care of us. Great experience and will return for future vehicles.

Wish we didnt have to go through such hurdles to get the RAV4 prime but here it goes. So back in March I contacted Thompson Auto in Edgewood, MD to inquire about this car. The saleman named Ron Jackson was very nice and told us they have a red one being built and will be here end of April. We agreed on the price, 49,776 (~300 over MSRP) and I put down a $1,000 deposit. I still remember vividly at the end of our conversation I asked him to confirm the final price before tax and fees to be 49,776 so I can prepare the loan or cashier check. He confirmed. Throughout the months of March, April, and early May, he kept me informed of the status of the car which was very nice of him. I also reached out to him several times to ask if he could provide us a sale/purchase agreement so we can submit it to DCU to get our loan approved. Weirdly, he kept saying he will get it to me the next day or within this week but never was able to provide me one throughout the whole month of April. Yesterday, he informed me that the car will be arriving today. I asked him again for the sale/purchade agreement so we can get the loan rolling and pick up the car ASAP. He said let him work on it and he will give to me by the end of the day. Later, he called and said his manager said they wont provide the agreement until the sale is finalized. I called our bank and confirmed that is not true. Ron then called me and said the price he quoted me in March is only if we go with Toyota financing and offered to talk to his manager to see if they can match our banks term (dirty tactic #1), which of course they couldnt. I then said we will have to go with our bank because their rate is so much better, which he said he will send me the pricing sheet. Here comes another dirty tactic - the final price in the pricing sheet is $1000 more than what we agreed on in March. I had our whole conversation in text, screenshot it and sent to him and reminded him that this is the final price that he confirmed. He then tried to pull reasons like oh this is the price before the options, adding all the options will increase the price. Our agreement in March of 49,776 is AFTER all the options were added. He then tried to get me to bite the bait and said well if you say no on this, you will have to wait a long time for this car. To his surprise, I already had another dealership lined up with a the smae car only different color which is set to arrive at the dealership first week of June, paying MSRP, not a damn cent over. I politely declined, walked away and reminded myseld to never use this dealership ever again. $1,000 dont make or break the bank but out of principle, I dont want to give my business to a crooked dealership trying to nickle and dime customers on every single thing. The RAV4 Prime is in short supply and high demand and this dealership became greedy so quickly.

My daughter purchased a used car back in December and we live in Florida they knew that when we purchased the vehicle to this date we still have not received the title from them. I have spoken to Jim Waters multiple time and now 3 months later still no title. I have left multiple messages with no call back so Im guessing that my next option would be bring the vehicle back and get a refund or legal options.

They tried to tell me the rate I signed for wasn’t good and that I had to sign a new contract because it was conditional, except MD doesn’t have conditional contracts for auto purchases. But I gave them a second chance as the salesman and finance guy from the first time were no longer working there. My salesman the second time around,Joe, was great! He was super friendly and made me feel comfortable with my purchase! Would definitely go back to purchase again.

I went into the dealership to get trade in information on my 4Runner and to get prices on new cars. I spoke to Ron Jackson and he was very professional and well versed on the different features and benefits of the cars I was interested in! I’ve talked to other sales associates and by far he was the most knowledgeable and made me feel like I was getting the best deal! Also as a woman a lot of sales associates talk down to you and make you feel like you don’t know what you need or want in a car but not Mr Jackson! Old guy who work on financial is rude unprofessional I never come back this dealer even I don’t prefer to my family friend to go there if they have option to get 0 I will give never trust financial old guy because I was surprised my apr is 4.9 any one buy if you know you’re apr is high.Even he don’t show me the paper to sign I just sign digital even he don’t explain about me I only know when my first billing statement is seeing.

Went to Thompsons for an air bag recall. As I have posted before I am very unhappy with the other local Toyota dealer.. Apparently that is not an uncommon opinion. Thompsons did the job quickly and was pleasant.

Just recently brought my new Toyota RAV4 from Mario Locco. I told him what I wanted and he was able to pull 2 cars for me. The whole process was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend buying from him.

I Dropped my truck overnight for a diagnostic repair. I came two days later to pick up my car and they did not have any paperwork detailing the itemized list of what is needed for the repair. I asked for it and I was provided a receipt of the $105 that I’ve just made for the diagnostic and was told to come back and talk to the person (lady since it was on a phone conversation) that was working at the customer service the day I dropped the Truck.

Great and friendly service in the Used vehicle department but did not have a good experience in the service department. I had an appointment at 9:30am to simply rotate my tires and I didnt end up leaving until 2 hours later at 11:30am when I had to ask for my vehicle due to having to be at work. The man was condescending as he had to take walk-ins as well and couldnt justsnap his fingers to get my car on the lift. I wont be servicing my car there any time soon.

Made an appointment to see a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. When I arrived, someone else was test driving it. Few moments later was told the vehicle was no longer available as the person had bought it. Tried to show me other cars I had no interest in. Not a way to treat a customer. Promptly left and went to another dealer where I bought a car.

My Tundra stopped running last Sunday. Had it towed to Thompsons in edgewood.Got a call it was the alternator, serpentine belt , and a new battery was needed.Almost $1900 was the damage.Upon picking my truck up I looked under the hood and noticed that the connector cables had not been changed and they still had corrosion on them. Called the service manager, Tony, we played phone tag but left a message stating I could bring it in, as if my schedule isnt busy enough . And as though I wanna sit is a show room when it should been done initially.I expressed this to him and have yet to hear back from him. It would be just as easy to send out a mobile crew andmaje the repair convenient for me.
