I had a tailgate issue on my Ram. Went to Eds for an estimate on a Friday. I spoke with Debbie who was incredibly helpful with the assessment. My problem was going to require a bit more than a R&R and I spoke to Ed as well. Got a quote email early the next week. Knowing what was involved, I recognized the quote as very reasonable and made an appointment.Repair day came and they did everything they said they would 100% to my satisfaction. The shop fixed my tailgate, making it functional again. The tech was even willing to come out and explain to me the situation (there was previous damage unbeknownst to me that was not repaired correctly) and we discussed my options. I was treated well and respectfully. There were no shenanigans, and I got charged for the actual work done.Lets be real, no one wants to need a body shop, but if I do, it is going to be Eds.

I was in a car accident on 4/3. After calling multiple places in the area I was told to contact EDS. They did such an amazing job on my car and handled the insurance portion for me. They also made me aware of everything that was going on with the car.

Debbie was extremely helpful in contacting the insurance companies to make sure my repair got handled. Thank you for high quality work and professional service. I will be returning here if anyone hits my car again in the future.

Friendly, professional, dedicated to working on , and taking pride in the work they do to your vehicle, as if it were their own is really rare to find these days. Ed is always on the job, employing workers who share his insistence on doing the best possible job. And Deb worked with the appraiser to obtain as many OEM parts as possible. When I arrived to pick up my car, not only did they repair what was damaged, but did some kind of magic to make my 2011 Camry look like it had just come out of the showroom! A worker was taking pride in the final touches of the detailing. I mean, I hope I never have another accident, but if I do, Eds (in Easthampton, MA!) will be the place I have the work done. Ed was fantastic. My car looks better than new. He even fixed an old dent that was beginning to rust -- for free! And when I came to get my car it had been detailed! The wheels looked like the day I drove it off the lot - 8 years ago! Joe, his son, was very helpful, too. Both men gave me great explanations for what was happening every step of the way, worked on my behalf with the insurance company, and delivered to me a great car and right on time. In fact, Ed came in on a Sunday to let me pick it up!I highly recommend this auto body shop!!!

My experience was similar to most other reviews on here - perfect. Deb and Ed were wonderfully friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented. Ed explained what needed to be fixed, how they would fix it, and what other options might be available. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company and made the whole process simple. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needed auto body work.

Did you ever find a place you knew was safe? Where they seem genuinely interested in helping you maintain your vehicle? And they are willing to give you local rides home and then come pick you up when the cars ready? I thought I had lost that when I moved 90 minutes from my mechanic of 25 years but I found it again at Eds Auto.I was beyond worry when I first drove into Eds. The highly rated place I had had my oil changed in Northampton had done something and couldnt see me to figure out what it was for a week. Meanwhile I was using oil like crazy! I took a chance and drove in. Within 5 minutes Dana had figured out that I had a loose oil filter. He cleaned the mess up, screwed it in tight and topped off the oil. The charge? Nothing.Since then Ive been in twice more - once for an oil change and general checkup (the more expensive of the two oil change options) and again to have a burned out headlamp replaced. Each time, Ive been made to feel welcome, when the oil was changed I got chauffeured , and above all Im treated with respect, not like some mid 60s know nothing woman.In short, I highly recommend Eds. Dana, Ed & Joanne are a great team of people.

I love Ed’s Auto Body. My family and I have used them for about 6 years for everything from air conditioning, timing belts, minor fender benders and fuel issues. Ed and Dana do top notch work and the customer service is great. I always leave with a full understanding of what the process of the repair was and the cost is fair and reasonable. Don’t know what I would do without Ed’s.Update: It has been over a year since my last review and I had to update to sing their praises again. I had a paperwork problem with a car that significantly postponed appropriate business transactions. Joanne and Ed were BEYOND patient and professional where anyone else would have good reason to loose their patients. They were understanding and kind every step of the way. All worked out in the end. I am so grateful I was with Eds. I dont know what I would have done without them!

My first visit to Eds was wonderful. They quoted fair prices and did great work. I continued to go for a few other repairs until a few male friends told me I was paying way too high a price for repairs. I decided to shop around. I was quoted a price of $650 for a new timing belt when the dealer told me $500. Of course I went to the dealer and got a new car to drive to boot while my car was being fixed. I called again for a quote for a new oil pan... I was quoted a price that was $120 higher than I ended up being charged elsewhere. I gave them a glowing review on their website and wish it could be erased as, now, I think I was given high prices because I was female. Beware. Check around before going here.

I brought my car to Ed after I got hit by someone making a left turn. The right-front side of my car was pretty bashed up, and the accident knocked my wheel out of alignment and damaged the strut.Joanne was super helpful in walking me through the claim process, getting the insurance company to respond, and setting me up with a loaner car so I could get to work.The work Ed, Dana, and the crew did is phenomenal. Car looks better than when I bought it! The paint job looks great, a perfect color match. The fender is completely replaced, the headlights working again. I am so happy!Ill definitely take my car back to Ed for oil changes and mechanical work, and I have already recommended Eds to a friend who was rear-ended. Very happy customer!

We had a crash and asked 10 friends which was the best auto repair shop and 4 out of the 10 said Eddies. Our car was towed there and they could not have been more helpful during the time we were waiting to have the insurance company make a determination about the needed repairs.We were having many problems dealing with the insurance company and Debbie, the office manager, offered advice on how to deal with the company and when we got an inaccurate police report she intervened with the police to get it corrected. We could not have done that on our own.Unfortunately, the insurance company decided to declare it a total loss bc they could make more money bc the car had very limited damage and was a 2018 w low mileage.So unfortunately, they did not get to fix it and we were stuck buying a new car.I was disappointed that they would not allow it to be fixed and I could tell by the caring, professional and careful manner that they would have done a greta job.I would highly recommend them and their interest in excellent customer service!

New to the area a few years ago, I took a chance on a local place and Im so thankful that place was Eds. Theres never an issue with squeezing my car in, even if just for a basic oil change, and they always take the time to explain the work theyve done on my car. I think its a rare thing to find a business you can truly trust to not only take great care of your vehicle, but to be honest with you when it comes to cost, time, and expectations. Eds is a warm, friendly place where you can always expect amazing service and an excellent sense of humor. Its the only place Ill bring my car (pending out-of-state breakdowns, of course)!

Awhile back I brought my f150 to Eds to see if he could push out a dent near the taillight. When I picked up the truck all they did was paint over the missing paint with touch up paint. I could have done that! He said he could not push it out. I went home and pushed it out with some basic tools. Not sure why so highly rated.

Ed is great, he always makes sure to explain the repairs so even a layman can understand the auto work. The workmen are always friendly and courteous and the office staff (especially Joanne) are beyond helpful. Weve had both cars worked on and it was smooth sailing both times. I especially appreciated how they took care of the insurance end of it all; they worked with the adjustors and insurance reps to get everything taken care of. Knowing that I have Eds to go to in-case of an accident has made me a lot less afraid of dealing with auto work. Its been especially nice since we are new to the area and didnt initially know our way around town, much less the weird Massachusetts insurance requirements. We would definitely recommend Eds to friends and family!!!

I went in for a estimate on a simple repair. I was a little surprised when the owner suggested to repair an already bad repair. When I questioned his suggestion he got very short tempered and rude. He was also put off by the fact that I came to him as a second opinion. Being new to the area I thought it would be best to get a couple quotes. Apparently thats not how things work at Eds.That being said Eds wife who works the front desk is amazing! I cant speak for the quality of their workmanship since I wont take my car there. They may do nice work, but there are other options without having to deal with an ego. I cant imagine how he handles customers if the repairs dont meet the their expectations.

I first went to Eds Auto Body and Repairs after someone made an illegal left turn and totally smashed my entire front end. Ed and his amazingly friendly and focused crew spent a very long time building the car back up. I have continued to take my cars there over the years and even go there for oil changes. It is an incredibly well run shop, they explain all pricing in advance, there are never surprises, things are always done on time, and Ed has always talked to me about the quality of parts I might need. The body work is exceptionally well done. Best auto repair experience ever! (And so much better prices than the dealership....)

Wow...just wow. My son wrecked his car and had it towed to another auto body. The estimate there was more than what he paid for the car(2001). We took the car to Eds and not only was he willing to work with us to do what it took to get the cost down but he also showed great compassion and intregrity, allowed us to get our own parts, but he also kept my sons SAFETY on the road a priority. To top that off, he amazingly got him back on the road again more quickly than I have ever seen in 40+ yrs of driving, which was crucial to his job ( and my chaufer sanity!). I wish Ed still did regular maintenance on vehicles because I would gladly make him my mechanic and I recommend him highly.

When you look for an auto body shop, you hope for three things: great work, great value, and great service. It may be blasphemy to say it, but Eds Auto Body is the holy trinity of car shops.I recently bought a used 2012 VW Golf, which was in great shape but needed the rocker panel repaired. I got four estimates, which came in at A) $500 (Eds, estimating two days for the work), B) $500 (a different shop owned by a somewhat sketchy-seeming guy, who estimated four days to do the work), C) $850, and D) $1300. Obviously, all things considered, I chose option A: a great price with a quick turnaround.Once I saw my repaired car, it was obvious that Id made the right decision. As Ed explained what theyd done, I saw that theyd gone out of their way to match edges, texture, and paint to make the seam invisible—even though the repair had required that they cross a structural line on the car that could have been unsightly. Beautiful work.Three months later, I brought the car in for a regular oil change. I was surprised to get an appointment the day I called, but it turned out that their phones were working only intermittently (not their fault; a storm-related problem), and people werent necessarily able to get in touch. Joanne, who works the office, was quite distraught that the phones were down—not because they might lose business, but because, as she said, What if our customers need us?And THIS is the element that makes Eds Auto Body something special. Its a real pleasure to deal with Joanne, Ed, Dana, and everyone else youll run into there. They actually CARE about you, in what seems like a throwback to an earlier era of customer service, and they do whatever it takes to get you on your way as quickly and easily as possible. While I was sitting in the office waiting for the oil change to be done, I heard them discussing the best way to serve several other customers, arranging, for instance, to have a special kind of battery delivered after-hours to Danas HOME so that he could have the car ready early for the customer the next morning.Above and beyond, in every way. Theyve made a customer for life.

I brought my toyota tacoma to Eds after getting rear-ended. My bumper was hanging off, my tailgate was bent pretty badly, and the back of my cab was dented in (with huge bits of paint missing) from where the bed hit the cab on impact. After going to a few different auto-body shops in the area, I finally decided on Eds. It was definitely the right choice.First of all, everyone that works here is so incredibly friendly. Joanne and Ed both took plenty of time to answer all my questions (about the repair process, the insurance process, etc). Joanne even remembered when I said work nights and usually sleep until about 1pm - she always made sure to wait until late afternoon to call me.They provided me with a great rental car when I dropped my truck off. The repairs themselves took about a week; and they did an *amazing* job. Honestly, I think the truck looked better when I picked it up than before I got hit in the first place. The new tailgate and bumper were perfect matches to the original ones. The paint job they did on the back of the cab was perfect - Im not sure how, but they managed to blend the paint perfectly so I cant even tell where the original paint ends and the new paint starts. They even finished doing my insurance paper-work for me (I started it myself, which I wouldnt recommend). I cant think of a single bad thing to say about Eds. Seriously, if you are considering bring your car here, do it.
