Great place to grab a grinder/sandwich. Wish there was more consistency among employees when making orders. Some pile on the meat while others skimp.

Absolutely hands-down the best Italian food in the area. If you’re a NY transplant who is now living in Western MA, and need to ‘scratch the itch’ for a good Chicken Parm hero/wedge (!), this is the place. (Even if they call it a grinder - hah :) ) Great staff, delicious Italian food, fantastic meats and sandwiches. Highly recommend the classic Italian with oil and vinegar and fresh mozzarella.

Excellent foods! The grinders are the best Ive had in a long time! The chicken cutlet is real chicken pounded thin like mamas! The cold cuts are piled high folks! Check it out, you wont be disappointed!

If you order online and pay in advance be prepared to show up and stand there for 30 minutes after the specified time waiting for them to serve anyone who walks in before they start making your food. Let 3 people know I was there and waiting. There were others waiting in the same boat with me. Making my daughter late for work and making the client feel like they are in the wrong when things dont go as planned does not add up to a 4.6 star experience.

Food great but RUDE CASHIER/OWNER. As a young attorney I used to love the one near the courthouse in Springfield. I passed it in East Longmeadow so I stopped in. Checking out he said, Have a nice life. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Great place to get home style food to go at a very fair price. Chicken Francaise with broccoli and awesome white fish topped with bread stuffing and shrimp. Both came with rice pilaf. More than enough for 2 people! Staff is awesome, and helpful. This is a place you dont want to drive by!

The food is good but good luck getting a fish and chips if you call ahead. Its baffling how many times in a row I called ahead for my food to not even have been placed! The last time, I checked to make sure I was calling the right frigos (I was). Takeaway: Im getting my fish n chips now from a place thats competent.

As we all know there is no better place in Western mass to get a sandwich or a meal to go their housemate chips are wonderful The only disappointment I ever have is that they charge you $10 a pound for their seafood pasta salad and if you find more than 3 shrimp in one pound of salad that would be a surprise

Grabbed lunch for my staff, and everyone loved it! Also picked up there beef tips for dinner that night, and they were a hit. The sandwiches are packed and a great price for what you get. They get super busy and you just need to be patient with the line, but they try and move everyone along pretty quick. Definitely recommend stopping for lunch, even grabbing something for dinner. Its a one stop shop.

I grew up in town and always got to have Frigos at parties and events. Ive since moved away, but I STILL think its the best deli Ive ever been to. I have brought my friends from out of state and everyone agrees! Fresh cut to order Boars Head meats at surprisingly low prices. And try the soda!

Great choices and great food. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Portions are large and fairly priced. You can have a sandwich or a plated meal to go. You may even find the meatballs are better than moms!

Why would you get a classic Italian anywhere else

Great food and drinks. Dont go in hungry or youll end up leaving with bags of delicious Italian food. I love the eggplant parmesan and the kids love the meatball. If you have a good appetite get the half Vienna. If not youll be full with an eight inch sub. The deli items are perfect side dishes and they always have drinks and sweets.

This was the best Tuna sandwich Ive ever had in 40 years. Buffalo mac & cheese was good too, a bit heavy and not my thing, but very good. Three people behind the counter keeping things moving quickly.

Very disappointed with Frigos right now. I ordered a platter of food on Dec 17 to be picked up Christmas Eve morning at 10am. I know I said 10 because my husband was picking it up for me and he heard me say 10am. He showed up and was told the order was placed for noon and it wasnt ready but they could start it for him and he could come back at noon. Having other errands, noon was not going to work for us so I had to call and cancel the order. Im a forgiving person because mistakes are made however nobody my husband or I spoke with at Frigos seemed to be too concerned about our disappointment.

You walk in and you cant help but want more with your order..Love their Italian cold cut grinders and their chicken salad is so good plus the seasoned for Christmas cookiesyummy.

Have never had a bad meal from Frigos. Love their refrigerated meatballs and frozen manicotti for a semi-homemade meal, but everything at the deli counter is great too.

Absolutely outstanding quality! The staff is friendly and efficient even when the restaurant is packed which it usually is. I have never had a bad meal here. LOVE the lasagna. On ski weekends with friends and family, the take away lasagna in the large size is the superb choice for a fabulous meal after a day of skiing. Best Italian deli on the east coast !!!! :-)

Fresh foods... Interesting sandwiches. Not easy to stand and look at the menu board since there is zero standing room. I would suggest sitting in your car and reading an online menu first so you dont feel overwhelmed with people standing near you waiting to order.

You cannot get a better value for sandwiches than at Frigos! The meat is piled on and all sandwiches, and the condiments are made to order. Once you go Frigo, you can never return to an inferior Subway product which is at a higher price tag.

Best deli in the area. Uses quality meats and generous amounts. Pricing is very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The only downside to this place is it is always packed but they take online orders so you can still get in and out pretty quickly. The staff is super friendly and efficient as well. Even with a large line Im impressed by how quickly they make sandwiches and get people out.

We ordered the Tuscan Buffet for a party at our home on Feb 28, 2015. The food was delicious and ample. We were very pleased with the quality, the temperature and everyone enjoyed the variety. We love that they also deliver as it takes the stress out of hosting and their staff is always very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using them based on our two experiences as we also ordered the Tuscan Buffet for a party in June 2014.

Great place to get an Italian sub, I always stop and get the classic Italian on half a vienna roll whenever I have the chance. They put a LOT of meat on the sandwich so you are getting your money-worth at only $7-$8 a sub. Ive seen places charge twice for less.

Nice variety of foods. Prepared take out dishes are welcome on a busy day. Everything I have had there I would choose again.

If you dont know Frigos youre either not from around here or the Springfield location or dead. You cant beat their deli sandwiches by price/volume ratio. There is a lot of prepared dishes and salads. They have a few tables to eat out, (self service) if you like. Wide beverage selection and some Italian imported foods, all limited by the relatively tight quarters. Place is usually quite busy with a deli line. Be prepared to wait a few to 15 minutes at lunch time.

I think I probably had the best roast beef grinder I have ever had in my life! The roast beef was so red and so tender and so flavorful. Along with all of the different kinds of bread you can get a grinder on is amazing. I bought a full size grinder that fed me and my two children for two different meals. They have special Grinders that they make their or you can request any kind of grinder that you want to personalize. Along with the other many foods that are pre-made that you can buy that looked amazing. Things like lasagna and different kinds of pasta mixes. I highly recommend this place for any kind of lunch meats or cheeses but definitely their Grinders are absolutely to die for!

Frigos is a great place for non vegans they have some vegetarian options as well. Always fresh and great customer service. I recently got my sister some chicken parm and she loved it. You can get a veggie grinder/ wrap here if you like too. I have yet to try them but Im sure its good. Definitely give them a try if you havent already.

Very good food with generous portions but high prices. Tiny sitting area with sticky tables. Some outdoor seating in good weather behind a dumpster 🙄. Basically if you have the budget, get take-out. I return occasionally and can usually have 2 smaller meals from my purchase.

I go here for lunch and the food is incredible. They have a wide variety of food including sandwiches, salads, pasta, chicken, eggplant, and other Italian food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with their menu if you have any special requests. Take a trip there, you wont be disappointed!!

We went to this location because their Williams street location was closed due to it being a Sunday. My wife got a hot cut sandwich on a water roll. As I was getting ready to order my sandwich which was going to be a sausage grinder, I saw one of the workers microwaving another customers sandwich. This to me, as a cook is unacceptable, especially since the prices are at a premium. If I was willing to eat a microwaved sandwich Id have gone to Richards in West Springfield and it would have been cheaper. I will not return to this location. I will give the Williams street location one more shot, which pains me to say because having moved back to the area after being away for 7 years Frigos was one place I was really looking forward to eating at again.

When you cant make it to downtown to get the prime rib grinder this place has your back. To many choices to pick from all are good especially seafood pasta.

I love this place! When Im visiting from Florida I stop in as often as I can. I always bring provolone cheese back w/ me.

This place is the best! Perfect for grabbing a quick lunch as we are often in the area. Its very quaint and clean, prices are fabulous, everyone is friendly and the experience as a whole is excellent with a casual voice and an authentic feel. It reminds me of a storedown the road from my home in CT called millpond country store, but an Italian version

Had the best grinder since leaving Boston. Not only was it really tasty, but it was stuffed full. I couldnt even finish it. Cant wait to go back

One of the best food shops in the greater Springfield area in my opinion and definitely try a cannoli. It is sometimes very busy around lunch but they move pretty quick so you can get in, get your food and get out. Only problem is that there is very little seating since the building is small.

My favorite sandwiches by far! The Italian pannino is the one I get. Meats taste fresh and the vegetables too. The have some prepared foods, but I have not tried them. They do look tasty.

Gem of a Italian style take out restaurant/ market. All kinds of imported pasta, meats, cheeses, etc. Various grab and go Italian specialties, stuffed shells, lasagna, raviolis, cannoli, fresh baked cookies, home-made potato chips. The best of all is the subs. My favorite is the eggplant parm, but they have all the usual suspects.

The best Italian sandwich & grinders anywhere. ( if you order the half Viana grinder they are huge) and for the prices they charge it would coast you more to make them at home yourself. Moste of there other prepared foods and salads are verry good quality as well ( although some can be a bit on the expensive side) but are all well above average in quality and taste.

Food here is always excellent. The prices and staff are great as well! We stop by often.

Theres not much room to eat inside, but their main thing is getting stuff to go. Besides sandwiches they also have a large selection of cold beverages and various Italian foods you can take home like lasagna.
