The owner Chris is awesome. We bought a new mattress, box spring and frame from the east lansing store for my mother in assisted living. They delivered it and set it up. My mother is short and had difficulty getting into the bed. Chris arranged to get a smaller box spring and a lower profile frame. They delivered it the same day and set it all up for her. My husband and I had a great experience at this store. We came in with a good idea of what we were looking for, but the salesgirl (I forget her name) was very helpful, informative, and friendly. She even took the time to call another store for us to get a question answered. I appreciated that she was not pushy and gave us plenty of time to consider our options. The delivery guys were very nice and courteous - offered to take their shoes off when they came in our home and were in and out in a matter of minutes. Came in to exchange a bed that was recently purchased by my mother shortly before her passing. Requiring a firm mattress, it took a while for me to find a model that fit my needs, but they do have an extremely wide selection of softer, pillow top models.

After two failed attempts with a platform bed from Wayfair, I called The Mattress Source in East Lansing. I was hoping to get a box spring and frame for my sons room at State. This weekend I purchased by third mattress from this store. The first two were for kids and I didnt put a ton of thought into it honestly. However this weekend I was replacing my mattress which I knew would be more expensive and required a little more thought. After arrival in the store and a brief discussion of what I was looking for, the manager pointed out about 6 mattresses to try. He was never pushy and gave us lots of space while providing useful information. After I settled on a mattress, he mentioned that many of the deliveries had been canceled by costumers due to impending rain. He was able to squeeze me into a tight window and I had my mattress installed within an hour from arrival at the store. They took the old mattress for recycling free of charge and free delivery because I was local. Best of all, many of these mattresses are made in Lansing. Cant beat this experience!

This is the best place to buy from! We had to buy 4 new mattresses for our cottage recently. I was really nervous any store would try to sell us the most expensive ones. But Chris was amazing. He showed us some really inexpensive options for bunks and so on. In the end, we only needed two but their customer service never veered. My fiancé and I recently went to the store to look for a mattress for ourselves and our guest room. We were the only ones shopping at the time and had both employees helping us (not in a pushy way at all, like you get at some other places). I bought the Enchantment mattress from them about 7 months ago and I am still loving it every night. I bought a queen size mattress from Art Van Pure Sleep shop a year ago, and after 2 months of it we realized we were highly disappointed in it. I went back to my old mattress (I had given it to one of my daughters) and had been using that for about a year and went to the Mattress Source on a recommendation from a contractor at work who knows the manager. Chris was receptive to our info we provided of what we were looking for in a mattress, price points, and size of mattress. He came through for us on all levels, having contacted the manager at Capitol Bedding to special order the size mattress we wanted. Bought one mattress for home, and had such a good experience that we went out of our way to buy four more for our cottage. The owner, Chris, steered us in the right direction each time and was on top things every step of the way. Wish there was one closer to Detroit and/or Traverse City, but well happily make the trip to East Lansing when were in need of another mattress.
