Definitely check here first for lighting needs. A very surprising selection of bulbs, fixtures, shades, and switches. They were very awesome to me and I plan to return next time I have lighting needs. Ive wasted enough trips to big name hardware stores looking for special bulbs, ballasts and fixtures next time Ill go here first.

Service and selection here are great! Im a return customer and they are very helpful with finding exactly what Im looking for. Katina was so understanding when I asked to replace a part of glass that I didnt know was broken until I got it home. I got a replacement the same day at no charge 😊

Reputable store with great staff. I bought a small chandelier and quickly knocked one of the crystals off and broke it. My fault, but the staff contacted the manufacturer, matched up which crystal it was, and ordered me a new crystal at no charge. Great job.

Capitol Lighting, Inc in Lansing has been my go to lighting supply store for many years. You will appreciate the diverse selection they offer. They have everything you need, from elegant traditional lighting, to more contemporary fixtures. The staff is knowledgeable and so helpful! Highly recommend!

I drove all over town looking for a lamp shade that I could not find. I finally stoped at Capitol lighting. They had the type of lamp shade I needed and it matched my project perfectly! Although, apparently all harps are not created equal. The one I bought didnt have a long enough screw at the top to allow the shade to mount. Not a problem here. They have me a new harp and the finishing nut that holds the shade on. Oh, and they have me a deal on the lamp shade. These are some great people! Ill be back for sure.

I called and asked if they could stay open 5 extra minutes and they said No. My husband drove all the way across town to meet me so I could show him the fixture I wanted. We knew exactly what we wanted to purchase and it would have taken no longer than 5 minutes to get us in and out. We arrived at 6:03 and the worker was locking the door. Then he saw us and quickly scooted around the corner into his car and drove off the other way. It was very rude and I will not be giving my business to them. I love supporting small business- as I own one of my own- but believe great customer service is key and this is something Captiol LIghting failed to provide. Very disappointed! :(

Ordered a light on 5/31/19 and paid for it. It didnt arrive after 1 month so I called to see the status. They were having trouble getting it from the distributor. I waited until today, 8/22/19 but still no light. I looked on Amazon and found the same light for $10 less and it would be delivered by 8/27/19. Called Capital Lighting to cancel the order. They did so but without an acknowledgement of the long delay or an apology for not following up on the order. Customer Service?

Went their to look at fans found one in a book was told that they would text on Tuesday to let me know if it was on back order.Tuesday came and went no text,Wednesday no text. Called them on Thursday they said he was busywould call me back two hours later i had to call him.He than ask me my order # i told i was at work and didnt have it he said he could look it up and would the factory to see how long it will be on back order. So i am thing to myself this is what you told me you would do on Tuesday and you havent done it yet.I said no thank you i will go some place else he said fine good by.This is to bad i am sure the owner work real hard in building a businessand to have help like that is bad

Watch your head if youre over 6ft tall. Lots of low hanging lights.

The staff was very nolidgable and helpful, we purchased 3 Hinkley fixture they look great and well worth the money. This is a lighting store that supplies higher end fixtures not at home depot prices.

Way too many lights in small space... Way way way over priced... Lamps dont need to cost that much... Had little choice in retro... Went over to House to Home and found lamps as soon as we walked in...90. For the pair... My husband thought staff was a little snooty..

Never been treated so rudely. An employee asked us if we needed help and we told her what we needed (asked for dimensions of a light fixture they had on display) and then asked another customer if they had a question and walked awY and helped them and never came back to us, who she was helping first.

Best selection in the greater Lansing area with knowledgeable, friendly employees.
