As if ripping off the customers was not enough, the store is now selling spoiled items that do not even come in sealed boxes. We got a box of dosa batter and this was completely spoiled. What shame!

Sells expired foods. Recently, I got sick because of expired masala. They did not show any concern about it. Honestly, the worst indian grocery store. Please avoid it.

Absolute apex of good food in Lansing. Ive never had a bad meal, Ive never had bad service. I also could not tell you the name of any dish Ive had, but every last scrap was delicious. The lunch buffet is a treat, food is always hot and fresh. Ive gotten delivery from them and it too was hot and fresh. Check it out, you wont regret it

I usually don’t share any review about my shopping experience, but this is something important that I thought should share. The owner is very rude, impolite, ill-mannered, and telugu language biased person. He doesn’t know how to talk to woman/customers. Rather doesn’t know how to talk to another human being. Treats customers as if he is doing a charity. I would never visit this store again. Try Swadesh or any other store, or buy online. DO NOT visit this store, unless you want to go and get offended.

I got a chicken Tikka roll covered with fungus. I am attaching the pics for proof. It costed me 11 dollars. I have called the store today and havent received a callback they promised.I would like a refund since the item was bought just two days ago and I opened the seal today itself after keeping it in the Fridge since I got it.This review is going to stay till I get my refund.

I shopped at the grocery stores today (10th May 2020) and stunned to see the grocery prices! Real blood suckers! All I can say is, they are using the Covid-19 opportunity to rip the public. They have removed all the price labels from the shelves so they can charge you anything they like. Unfortunately, people like me have to buy the groceries some how so there is no choice. When I asked the lady in the shop about the pricing labels, she said oh, I can tell you the price. Today, the prices are at least 30% more than regular price. Are these people not getting aid from the Government as small business owners? If they did, and they sell at this price, they are extremely greedy. You can clearly understand their motive of removing the price tag labels from the shelves - just to rip the public using the covid-19 opportunity.

Rating one star only because I had to input something. It is tooo expensive and most of the products did not mention with the price tags and the owner is very rude who doesn’t even know to respect customers and he charges very high during this hard (covid) situation.Would suggest rather visit swadesh store for Indian groceries.

An average Indian grocery shop where you would get your Indian food essentials, but the discount coupon here has no meaning. Though my discount coupon was valid, and I had forgotten to use it during a purchase made the very same day. Upon requesting to apply the coupon later during the day to this very purchase, the storekeeper blatantly refused. Would advice people to be careful while making any purchases here.

This store usually has everything you need from fresh Indian vegetables to spices and flour. They also have a good selection of Indian sweets and savories. I would go there just for the gulab jamun and pedas. The owner and staff there are really friendly too.

I been to this place many times. They always have out dated foods. If you look at the vegetables section in freezer you can see they got spoiled veggies most of the times. I got curd once, it is like juice, because they didn’t took care of it properly in summer. All the spoiled veggies might be used to cook the restaurant food, I feel that because the taste of the food in the restaurant is not that quality made than its appearance. Beware of this shop, check expiry dates before purchasing it. Indian products are mentioned with “manufacturing date and number of months to get expire”, but in US products usually they mention “best before”. Also the prices are expensive here, compared to the other Indian grocery store in Okemos.
